More people need to see this before throwing boost at hp at their S2000. Look at how much power and aero that Mustang needs to barely gap an S2000 on a lap. That Jackie is a badass driver and it’s because the S lets him push as hard as it will let him go. HP is nice but a well set up car and driver is better. It’s better to drive slow cars fast than it is to drive fast cars slow. The S2000 was never a slow car anyways.
Earlier this year I was in the market to purchase another car. S2000 was on that list, but my fat ass at 6'1 240lbs couldnt fit lol. Ended up getting a s550 mustang. I enjoy the car, but I have a feeling I would have enjoyed the S2000 a lot more.
Awesome video once again. At 2:05, if you ever get a chance, you should highlight your rear-view mirror on the video at this point. I didn't notice to look there to see the stang come up on you so fast.
Great driving! Bonus points for style and carrying so much momentum through those corners! It's definitely easier to chase though, and for course layout favoring higher hp, you held your ground extremely well, props!
I bet you had at least twice more fun than I did watching you racing… and it was fun ;) one thing though… is your rear suspension a little too tight/hard ? or your toe not positive enough ?
After a little more analyzing, I think it’s actually the suspension not stiff enough in general. Too much nosedive and weight transfer made it feel like a rally car. If I go a little stiffer front and rear that should be a little better!
Yes I had that in mind too… but without numbers, you can only throw one idea at a time ;) Keep in mind though, that the S is a little biased towards the rear, so don't tighten the rear too much or give it a tad of toe-in :) Good luck ! keep us posted… and most of all… have fun !

No; the miss-shift killed the rhythm and momentum, and when you don’t have either it’s impossible to set a good lap!
haha that long straight gave the mustang enough time to catch up anyway....

I’d much rather the rear sliding around than the front... plus, this track is all slow-Speed to medium-Speed corners, a bit of sliding won’t hurt
Try a square 255, you'll still slide a wee bit but grip a lot more
New 17x9 rims already ordered. 255 is coming next year.
