I have a demon character that's essentially just furry Chucky lmao. The backstory behind her is that Ali, my main fursona (who's a dragon) was shot and killed during a robery so two of my other fursonas decided to take her heart and put it in a giant rabbit plushie so they can summon her spirit and bring her back to life, but they did the ritual wrong and ended up also summoning a demon to take possess the plushie along with Ali's soul. Long story short a big plushy demon rabbit ends up murdering everyone and it was mostly just an excuse for me to make a plushsuit lmao
If a unicorn has a symbol on its butt and walks on 4 legs, it's a Brony. If a unicorn doesn't have any symbol on its butt, has some colorful patterns on its body and is able to walk on 2 legs, it's a unicorn Fursona.
Clearly though, you haven't seen the mlp fursuits that stand on two legs. Also, what does colorful patterns have to do with being just a furry? There are plenty of mlp furries who have colorful patterns on them!
@@ShadowChromia ,first of all, MLP suits are not called "Fursuits", and secondly, MLP fans have colorful patterns on their hair, not their bodies. Furry Fans focus their OC design more on the torso. And when I say "walk on 4 legs" here, I mean when a MLP character is drawn or in the reference sheet, they usually stand on 4 legs, I haven't seen any Brony drawing that has Ponies that walk on 2 legs. And of course Brony Suits have to be on 2 legs, no one can stand on 4 limbs the whole day in a suit.

My fursona's are Pooka, a sort of shape shifting fairy from Irish folklore. They're interpreted as tricksters there, but in other parts of the world are seen as good omens. they're most know for taking the forms of a hare, a black stallion, and a human that always has some sort of animal element like wings, horns, or tails. I stretch the shape shifting capability a little further than that and its so much fun!
Somehow the werewolf portion of this video led me to search the definition of animagus, which led me to maledictrus, which made me discover that Nagini used to be human. THANKS. I can't escape my Ravenclaw-ness. 😂

I'm a furry, but also a female brony and found it neat that quite a few species you covered are also in the MLP show, as of season 8: Pegasi, unicorns, kirin, griffons, dragons (Western), a chimera (traditional), several manticores, and hippogriffs (plus a Discord)! My foursona is an Alicorn! (Think of a unicorn/Pegasus hybrid) and one day will make my own partial suit! I would love seeing more of us in the fandom I haven’t met any other Alicorns yet!
Fun fact that this video made me realize: Before my current sona, my very first sona would have been a Chimera much like Chaos (Clockwork) and Discord (MLP). Oml, you actually added kitsunes :0 I'm so surprised and happy too, because most people forget about kitsunes, my fursona is a kitsune but with mouths on her tails, and I wasn't expecting you to mention them since they aren't that popular, but you actually mentioned them, and that my friend, gets a like from me uwu
I'm not sure if people make this in the fandom but... HellHounds. I looked it up and usually they are either a nightmarish wolf with glowing eyes and flames coming off of them, or they are more bone than they are flesh. I have 2 fursonas that are like this. So I made my first ever fursuit fursona (Krimson Hlavka) into the skeletal type of hellhound. And the second fursona (Pendulus Hlavka) is on the flame, nightmarish, glowing side. I haven't really made the second one into a fursuit yet, but I am hoping in the future I can make him for a friend that I made the fursona for.
A werewolf transforms at a full moon. Lycan (I believe that is how it’s spelled from the Underworld fandom) is a werewolf that can transform into a wolf at any time. If it can turn into an animal at any time (one specific animal) it is Anamagi (from the Harry Potter fandom). There are also many other mythical creatures. My personal favorites are, Peryton’s and oc creatures. (I also love owl snow leopard gryphons.)
Great video! One of my anthro ocs, Mr. Pinkerton (no, his first name is _not_ Floyd) is a monster! He takes traits from kangaroo joeys, sphinx and devon rex cats, and one of my favourite lizards, a tegu!!
I personally like the jackalope. It's a mythical creature that i often saw used in the furry Fandom as a fursona and many people also made their rabbit fursona into a jackalope to give it a nice little feature.
I like kitsune because (even though I'm yet to own one and won't for a while) if I'm not wearing a fursuit I have a lore excuse "I'm just wearing my mask" even though I wouldn't need an excuse I just find it funny (also I have a problem of staying in character too much). like the vid and it's cool to see actual kitsune fursuits.
My sona is a mythical creature! It's the Irish myth of the Puca/Pooka. It's a trickster spirit usually seen as a horse, rabbit, dog, or goat! They can shapeshift and play tricks on humans! If you need info on mythical creatures or cryptids, just ask, as it's my main thesis in my work!
When it comes to dragons... I think there are also smart, lovable, and different elemental types like how Sisu is a water dragon or a genetically engineered hybrid of octoling and some other dragons (The octoling dragon happens to be my SMG4 OC and a baby clone of Desti)
Hello! I have a character that is a quetzalcoatl/ahuizotl hybrid (Quetzalcoatl being a feathered amphithere and ahuizotl being a monkey/dog thing). I haven't seen any American Mythological creatures yet, besides the wendigos, of course! But I think it would be a real treat to see more anthro characters like the thunderbird (which could be a very cool suit with LED lights), the grootslang, and the jaculus!
Don't forget the large category of the Fay! Especially the púca from Irish legend, which is a very customizable character concept I think! Kind of on the same lines as chimera or shapeshifter, draconequus, choose-your-own-body-parts deal. 😅 There's alot of room for interpretation with Irish mythology.
Interesting note: The group known as Hydra actually has an octopus as the logo. I would love to see a Krampus fursuit. My fursona is always adding new features. The external form is set at this point, but the abilities of the average Cyberwolf Hybrid change as the whims of the individual change since they have the ability to mimic and copy any ability they see... much like the Naruto character who uses sharingon.

A Chimera to be in a MLP movie, when Apple Bloom wants to prove Apple Jack that she can do things on our own by bringing Apple Pies to the nearby village, but Apple Bloom needed to go through a deep, dark forest. instead of getting the pies safely to the village, she gets into a battle with a Chimera. Apple Jack saves her, getting the pies and themselves to the town they were delivering to. 😀😀😀
EXCELLENT job on this video. I had an interest in mystical creatures since I was a little kid, and they certainly had an influence on me joining the furry fandom. Dragons, Werewolves, and Kitsune (yes you pronounced them correctly in this video) are some of my favorites.

I think I highly underused mythical creature is alebrijes! If you watched Coco or are of the Mexican culture you’ve probably heard of them. There spirits that guide you to the afterlife. They have colors like sparkledogs and very interesting designs, and I’ve only ever seen a handful of suits D:
I took the mythical creature known as the Thunderbird and combined it with a wolf to create my fursona, Sylvius Zebedee Mawwed the Thunderwolf. So it's double on the mythical creatures with me.

I was really hoping the Hippocampus would be mentioned! I don't know tons about their lore, but I haven't seen ANY furry characters of these. They are basically a literal seahorse, with the upper body of a horse and lower body of a fish. I'm making a character of one now and would be super excited to see more!

I actually have a character named Grey that's a sea wolf which is a mythical creature from Alaska that is part wolf part killer whale. They are said to be very kind creatures that bring luck to those whours see them.
Nice! Technically it would just be called a wererabbit, unless it actually has both a wolf form and a rabbit form. And now that I'm thinking about that, that would be interesting, a character that has seen both sides of the predator/prey situation.
I have a hellhound fursona named rainfall and I'm currently working on a second sona; an alligator gar and salmon hybrid named ally(might change her name). My original sona was a border collie based off birch beer but once i made rainfall birch, the character i was talking about, got demoted to just a character. I have a tendency to be draw to unusual characters, i usually don't like simple designs unless it's an unusual species and vice versa. For example my profile picture is of Kahari, he's the very first of my original species amogami created, he has a simple design but is an unusual species. Anyways I'm definitely making some other mythical creature characters soon!

Im making a periton character. They are awesome and so adorable They are deers with bird back legs and wings. They have the shadow of a human until they have killed someone. They are pretty cool :)
Wendigo here (or well Monsterwolf until horns get added), i have to add something to this. Wendigos are according to folklore not just "human eating monsters", they are acually by spirits of ancestors cursed (or possessed) humans who have commited cannibalism and are then forced to wander the woods, plagued by eternal hunger that is only temporary statisfied by killing and eating humans, which they can lure by mimic voices of people thier prey knows. Stories differ about cannibalism overall or cannibalism outside of an emergency situation as the crime to be punished by this curse. Overall it seems that the legend was made to act as an explainable taboo about cannibalism (mostly during winter as food is hard to find) and going out alone into the woods/at night.

My fursona is a wolgan (a dragon wolf) although her wings are feathered. I think wolgans are also a bit rare to see in fursuits, which is why Im making a partial (wings included). TIME TO MAKE WAY FOR MYTHICALS YALL.

When I was designing my fursona he started out as a wolf but I added the curved horns and tweaked him a bit and now I have him classed as a Hellhound

My fursona's are Pooka, a sort of shape shifting fairy from Irish folklore. They're interpreted as tricksters there, but in other parts of the world are seen as good omens. they're most know for taking the forms of a hare, a black stallion, and a human that always has some sort of animal element like wings, horns, or tails. I stretch the shape shifting capability a little further than that and its so much fun!

I'm a furry, but also a female brony and found it neat that quite a few species you covered are also in the MLP show, as of season 8: Pegasi, unicorns, kirin, griffons, dragons (Western), a chimera (traditional), several manticores, and hippogriffs (plus a Discord)! Truth be told, I hadn't heard of most of them, until MLP. Thanks for spreading them further because they are really cool creatures. Also, happy to have met you at MFF!
My foursona is an Alicorn! (Think of a unicorn/Pegasus hybrid) and one day will make my own partial suit! I would love seeing more of us in the fandom I haven’t met any other Alicorns yet!

Fun fact that this video made me realize: Before my current sona, my very first sona would have been a Chimera much like Chaos (Clockwork) and Discord (MLP). I wish I had known about Chaos back then because people were telling me I couldn't have such a crazy design. They were kinda wrong! xD That's okay, I like my current sona as is!

I'm not sure if people make this in the fandom but... HellHounds. I looked it up and usually they are either a nightmarish wolf with glowing eyes and flames coming off of them, or they are more bone than they are flesh. I have 2 fursonas that are like this. So I made my first ever fursuit fursona (Krimson Hlavka) into the skeletal type of hellhound. And the second fursona (Pendulus Hlavka) is on the flame, nightmarish, glowing side. I haven't really made the second one into a fursuit yet, but I am hoping in the future I can make him for a friend that I made the fursona for.
A werewolf transforms at a full moon. Lycan (I believe that is how it’s spelled from the Underworld fandom) is a werewolf that can transform into a wolf at any time. If it can turn into an animal at any time (one specific animal) it is Anamagi (from the Harry Potter fandom). There are also many other mythical creatures. My personal favorites are, Peryton’s and oc creatures. (I also love owl snow leopard gryphons.)
Great video! One of my anthro ocs, Mr. Pinkerton (no, his first name is _not_ Floyd) is a monster! He takes traits from kangaroo joeys, sphinx and devon rex cats, and one of my favourite lizards, a tegu!!
Also, there is a suit with two heads. Seen it on Instagram! Perytons (winged deer) are another suit I've seen a lot.
I personally like the jackalope. It's a mythical creature that i often saw used in the furry Fandom as a fursona and many people also made their rabbit fursona into a jackalope to give it a nice little feature.
I like kitsune because (even though I'm yet to own one and won't for a while) if I'm not wearing a fursuit I have a lore excuse "I'm just wearing my mask" even though I wouldn't need an excuse I just find it funny (also I have a problem of staying in character too much). like the vid and it's cool to see actual kitsune fursuits.
My sona is a mythical creature! It's the Irish myth of the Puca/Pooka. It's a trickster spirit usually seen as a horse, rabbit, dog, or goat! They can shapeshift and play tricks on humans! If you need info on mythical creatures or cryptids, just ask, as it's my main thesis in my work!
When it comes to dragons... I think there are also smart, lovable, and different elemental types like how Sisu is a water dragon or a genetically engineered hybrid of octoling and some other dragons

Hello! I have a character that is a quetzalcoatl/ahuizotl hybrid (Quetzalcoatl being a feathered amphithere and ahuizotl being a monkey/dog thing). I haven't seen any American Mythological creatures yet, besides the wendigos, of course! But I think it would be a real treat to see more anthro characters like the thunderbird (which could be a very cool suit with LED lights), the grootslang, and the jaculus!

Don't forget the large category of the Fay! Especially the púca from Irish legend, which is a very customizable character concept I think! Kind of on the same lines as chimera or shapeshifter, draconequus, choose-your-own-body-parts deal. 😅 There's alot of room for interpretation with Irish mythology.
Interesting note: The group known as Hydra actually has an octopus as the logo.

My fursona is always adding new features. The external form is set at this point, but the abilities of the average Cyberwolf Hybrid change as the whims of the individual change since they have the ability to mimic and copy any ability they see... much like the Naruto character who uses sharingon.

A Chimera to be in a MLP movie, when Apple Bloom wants to prove Apple Jack that she can do things on our own by bringing Apple Pies to the nearby village, but Apple Bloom needed to go through a deep, dark forest. instead of getting the pies safely to the village, she gets into a battle with a Chimera. Apple Jack saves her, getting the pies and themselves to the town they were delivering to. 😀😀😀

I think I highly underused mythical creature is alebrijes! If you watched Coco or are of the Mexican culture you’ve probably heard of them. There spirits that guide you to the afterlife. They have colors like sparkledogs and very interesting designs, and I’ve only ever seen a handful of suits D:

I was really hoping the Hippocampus would be mentioned! I don't know tons about their lore, but I haven't seen ANY furry characters of these. They are basically a literal seahorse, with the upper body of a horse and lower body of a fish. I'm making a character of one now and would be super excited to see more!

I have a hellhound fursona named rainfall and I'm currently working on a second sona; an alligator gar and salmon hybrid named ally(might change her name). My original sona was a border collie based off birch beer but once i made rainfall birch, the character i was talking about, got demoted to just a character. I have a tendency to be draw to unusual characters, i usually don't like simple designs unless it's an unusual species and vice versa. For example my profile picture is of Kahari, he's the very first of my original species amogami created, he has a simple design but is an unusual species. Anyways I'm definitely making some other mythical creature characters soon!

Wendigo here (or well Monsterwolf until horns get added), i have to add something to this.
Wendigos are according to folklore not just "human eating monsters", they are acually by spirits of ancestors cursed (or possessed) humans who have commited cannibalism and are then forced to wander the woods, plagued by eternal hunger that is only temporary statisfied by killing and eating humans, which they can lure by mimic voices of people thier prey knows.
Stories differ about cannibalism overall or cannibalism outside of an emergency situation as the crime to be punished by this curse.
Overall it seems that the legend was made to act as an explainable taboo about cannibalism (mostly during winter as food is hard to find) and going out alone into the woods/at night.

My fursona is a wolgan (a dragon wolf) although her wings are feathered. I think wolgans are also a bit rare to see in fursuits, which is why Im making a partial (wings included). TIME TO MAKE WAY FOR MYTHICALS YALL.
funfact! one of my fursonas known as Athena is actually a cat that is a werewolf, only a dragon instead of a wolf! thats right, she's a weredragon cat.
