When I see these sad videos I always think back at how it must have looked when it left the factory, when the first owner bought it and so on. I don't know, there is something with old cars. They get a soul in some way.

Even where automation was used e.g. assembly, that automation was a human creation so, like a piece of art, music etc. I see cars as an expression of human creativity, so it's a shame when the nicer ones are scrapped.
Look at the looks of that poor Volvo "please... leave me be, allow me to die". And what a dreadful end for a car, not even the worst car in the world deserves such a painful ending. I know it's not human and it's only a machine, a rusty bucket of bolts but... still.... I feel sad for it. At least, now "she's" in car heaven.
I'm a fan of volvo, born in, grew up in and grow old in, I heard laughter was next to the VW Golf but it will never make as much as a Volvo, she showed what a real car is can she rest in peace

Silly me....but still these old VW diesels Volvo used to put in there cars were far better than these nasty French junk PSA engines they started to put in the newer models.

I think it has something to do with the designer of the car, but I'm not sure about that. The 780 is also called "Bertone Coupé", and wasn't designed by Volvo themselves. And the mysterious 360, 460 and 480, which all were designed by Renault, didn't have anything but a straight 4-cyl engine. But you got a point there.
Dude, I gotta say, amazing video editing. And this poor car has seen better days, God bless you for taking it in. It needed a nice place to rest in it's final years. The last thing I want to see is a car go. :(
