These videos are amazing!!!! You mentioned doing one on the impact of ADHD on IQ testing. I also wondered if you have videos on Woodcock Johnsons?

Hi, I wanted to discuss my IQ score on WISC-IV. I got 104 in verbal comprehension, 126 in perceptual reasoning, 92 in working memory and 66 in processing speed. My total score was a 100. I was diagnosed with disgraphia accompanied with some features of ADHD. I just wanna know your thoughts.

Hi, With that level of variability, your GAI should have been calculated. That can only be done with subtest scores. However, this profiled does not surprise me given the ADHD diagnosis. It would also be interesting to see how scores would change if you were medicated for your ADHD and given an IQ test. All IQ tests require sustained focus and concentration. In other words, view your Full Scale IQ with a grain of salt. It is representing the effects that your ADHD is having on your functioning. You have significant strengths in your ability to think and reason nonverbally.

Hi. These were my results on the 10 subtests. How can I calculate my GAI
      16 (Similarities)
      17 (Vocabulary)
      18 (Comprehension)
      6 (Matrix Reasoning)
      13 (Block Design)
      10 (Picture Concepts)
      17 (Digit Span)
      15 (Letter Number Sequencing)
      3 (Coding)
      6 (Symbol Search)
Also my working memory was 135. Does that contribute to any broader calculation.
Also my perceptual reasoning index was 98
But my Verbal Comprehension was 142. Is that why I couldn't get an FSIQ?

Hello, I’m back with my PSI updated and GAI found in WISC-IV. So my scores are:
      PSI: 95
      VCI: 104
      PRI: 126
      WMI: 92
(If you recall, I’m 15. I was also diagnosed with disgraphia{i swear my handwriting is the best, i guess they couldn’t understand cursive CUZ THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO WRITE IN CURSIVE THEMSELVES} and some features associated with ADHD)
Since the difference between my PRI and my WMI was more than 23, you had suggested me to calculate my GAI. My GAI came out to be 116(i lost the source through which I confirmed it or else i would have given you the link of the document). I could also provide you the subtest scores of each index. So my question is, what does this tell about my intelligence, more specifically my innate ability to think(which i think is the most important) ? What career options are the most suitable for me and what is my percentile ? Should I consider my GAI as my IQ ? Which one gives more hints about someone being clever, GAI or FSIQ ?

@@Joeshapiro7 You have a wide range of results which indicates a discrepancy in the scores; this could be why the GAI was opted for over the FSIQ as it provides a more accurate representation by excluding domains with stark differences. Your GAI score could be calculated as in the higher range, but reference to the manual with a licensed professional would be required.
I'm only a Provisional Psychologist in Australia so cannot do this.

Your link in the description doesn’t seem to be working. It takes me to a Google login page.
