This test makes me cry and I had to relive it to send it to my college .

Do you also find that some kids with adhd have an average or high average profile but still observational symptoms of adhd that don’t impact scores?

Absolutely! Yes, kids can mask or the IQ can underestimate what they can do.

Being perceived and being timed is something my autism doesn’t do well with at all. and I think I have adhd also.
    My score was horrible
I was exhausted less than halfway through the rest of the wisc- I’m not sure why she didn’t check 😢
Have great pattern rec. but she scored me super low on it 😢 again. Timing was an issue and I was on Abilify 😢
Oh no I didn’t know the stuff about the matrix scoring!!!!!! Yikes!!!!!!
Yes train your kids because I was so duped and that test was the source of my trauma- I know I do not actually have as low of an IQ as 89. 😢 I got average on nearly all the stuff and a couple things I got high average and superior 😢
So this test I’m doomed no matter what because I have dysgraphia. 😢 and I need to be tested for adhd so it just would never be accurate for me
Yeah see I don’t know what terms… I have sophisticated vocabulary though so I’ll talk for ages if they query me cause I’m hoping we are thinking the same thing. We never were 😢

Dear Dr, Cindy, my 10 Years old son went through WISC-V and Snap-IV same time. SNAP IV showed ADHD...WISC V results are:
block design 16, similarités 10, Matrix reasoning 11, digit spam 13, Coding 8, vocabulary 6, figure weights 13, Visual puzzles 15, Picture pan 12, symbol search 10.. so VCI 89, VSI 132, RFI 112, MTI 115, VTI 95 and FSIQ 107...no GAI calcination. I am confuses with all thèse Number. big différences in numbers, can you please give your opinion..

Your son has a lot of variability/ scatter among subtest scores. This may be explained in part by the ADHD. He may have fatigued early (Vocabulary is one of the later subtests if administered in order). He may also not have heard the words correctly (there are several words that sound similar to other words). Which could be a language processing issue. Of note, I calculated the Nonverbal IQ and it came up as a 119, the GAI came up as a 108. So, I would send you off to explore ADHD and have a Speech Language Pathologist do a language assessment. I might ask them for an Oral and Written Language Score Listening Comprehension and Oral Expression as well as the CELF V and CELF Meta. If his attention was addressed (yes, medications), you might see a significant gain in a year. Regardless, I'd look at the oral language in more depth.

Because I wasn’t told I was being timed I don’t think at that time I was taking it
This is why this test is cruel. Is how fast they want you to do ALL OF THIS
Interesting that someone who has adhd has this high level of expectations for people who have learning differences 😂
