Finally, Samura Kamara has addressed the nation. The 25 minutes and 45 seconds speech touched on key areas most of which we know including the 6 minutes preamble on what lead us to this situation. The political hopefuls will say it’s a good speech but what resonates with all of us is that it lacks political action to address the issue of electoral injustice. The big question is, How are you going to hold Mohamed Konneh and his cohorts accountable? There are no actionable steps to ask for elections rerun, and that makes this speech not reliable in as much as it seems like it. We are dealing with rogues and thugs, who have no regard for diplomacy and the rule of law. So I would have loved to hear some stringent next steps that are time bound, including boycotting governance if the ECSL fails to produce the results, say within 30 days.
Additionally, I think it’s unfair to the people to continue to reassure them that it’s not over but yet you cannot back your words with concrete actions that match the situation at hand. Reminding the international community and party membership of what’s at stake is great but it needs to be backed with actionable measures that resonates with the people. All the people want is electoral justice for their votes, and if Samura Kamara does not want to take stringent steps to make this happen then he is not the right man for the job. It’s great to continue to trust God, but that needs to be backed with actions that will cause God’s throne to move in your favor. Every leader will be tested and this is Samura Kamara’s test to pass else history will condemn him for his frailties.
Meanwhile, I’ll resound his words that we should all come together to fight this common enemy.

In fact, what you have done in this enlightening piece is an attempt to not only educate the masses about the current pitiful state of our democracy but also sensitise those who still continue to hold on to mirages of a [beggars' belief]. In truth, your piece (my dear friend), has without a shred of intellectual doubt shine a spotlight on the requirements of [effective and honest leadership] and of which I am afraid to say "Samura" lacks. After listening to Osamucoco, I am left bewildered why, with all d huge evidence APC had, why they refused to go to supreme court as required by law. Osamucoco must b made to understand that democracy is d rule of law n going to court is key when one is agrieved. So jis failure to ho to court is a blunder on his part n d part of his supporters. So he must give us a break!
@@fofanahmohamed9319 you will be bewildered if the court you preferred is not owned and micromanaged by Maada Bio. If that court is so trusted, why was there a tripartite signed by all? Was that not a way of devaluing the powers of the supreme court and transferring those powers to the tripartite.

D same supreme court Bio went in 2012 when he lost d elections to EBK. D same supreme court that freed Paolo Conteh from treason charges . What I want to emphasize here is RULE OF LAW WHICH DEMOCRACY IS ALL ABOUT. How can u decide to avoid d judiciary in a democratic system? Is Osamucoco trying to tell me that when he comes to power, there will b no judiciary? As for d TRIPARTITE, it was APC disinformation that tried to replace d supreme court with d COMMITTEE. RE-RUN or re-count of elections was never part of d TOR of d TRIPARTITE committee. D whole aim for TRIPARTITE was to review current electoral laws n regulations for future elections. But ur leadership skewed d info into something else.
