Exactly what I had thought of 10 years back. Dr Prabhakar and Mr Nair have confirmed it. There are 2 Indias - a poor one and a rich one. I come from the latter, but I want the dichotomy to shrink. My Idea was somehow chain the supply chain such as the poorer india can produce and supply to the richer india and the world. This is my idea of redistributing wealth - by trade. And not by force like the land ceiling act which is tyranny at best
I have made up my mind - NEVER ever let the politicians who kept this poor india poor every come back to power !

@@DrDK2805 Things are going so blatantly corrupt, the SC (CJI) may need to intervene like in the Electoral bond case. I just hope that the threshold of patience of the common person is not tripped, when they can take to the streets (like what happened in Sri Lanka a couple of years back). That could lead to a lot of violence against these corrupt people.

You combined your scholarship in Economics and Political Economy and provided excellent insights. However one important point. Once India gets power it should not go into the same kind of trap in 2009 to 2014 of total confusion and corruption. It should take advice from professionals and intellectuals. Congress is not defeating BJP. It is the civil society that defeated the BJP.

Your channel should understand the reality. People did not elect Congress party in 2014. Same thing repeated in 2019. Do you expect a change in the mood of Indian voters for India alliance? What if the Modi bhakts found out that Modi is actually a Muslim and Rahul Gandhi is a genuine, bona fide Hindu then would the bhakts still vote for the BJP? Or would they accept Rahul Gandhi and vote for Congress?
The point is that the BJP is just hard core communal. Politics is just a tool to have the numbers on their side. Once they are firmly entrenched they will continue to practice their bigotry. Is it any wonder that the BJP misuses the government agencies and weaponizes it to use it against its opponents to intimidate and bully them into submission.
There are no political leaders who are as bad as Modi and Jagan (AP CM) in the country. There are many other bad heads of state in the country but they are nowhere near to Modi and Jagan. These two epitomise all kinds of corruption and moral turpitude.
But why do people support them?
Immanuel Kant says in “Categorical Imperative” that rational human beings have to be treated as an end to themeselves but not as a means to an end.
The next question you have to ask is, have these two politicians divided the country into good and bad people according their support to them? The answer is no. Many good people take bad decisions.
The fact is “MANY good people” are blinded by their beliefs (religion, caste, ego etc) they fall readymade prey to leaders like Jagan and Modi to be used as means to achieve their (Jagan and Modi) end.
This is the story of pattern of voting in India.
Having said this, I tend to agree with final comments of Dr.Parakala. It is going to be very messy from 4th of June. Modi will create a Trump like situation in India.
