- I bought this fan from OLX for Rs.400 in fully jammed condition.
Electrical Product Corporation is an Indian brand originated from Calcutta & are specialised in making Industrial Fans, Exhaust Fans, Mancoolers, Motors. Their epc Tempest department is for domestic electrical fans like Ceiling, Table, Pedestral, Wall, Cabin, Domestic Air Circulators.
Sadly due to political issue on worker association of company, epc slowed the production of their tempest department. Their Industrial dept. is still ruling fine.

Excellent! I really like how you removed that assembly between the motor shaft and the down rod. Most Chinese fans still have the same assembly nowadays. I prefer the method you used, where the shaft goes straight into the down rod.

Is copper winding is powerful than aluminium winding? Because i wanted to rewind my Usha striker highspeed. It was 16 years old
Yes copper winding is obviously better as copper have highest conductivity & copper is less chemically reactive than aluminium so long lasting

I have a very old EPC ceiling fan which is never repaired but recently had a capacitor swop as it was running on a weak capacitor since 15years the fan is 32years old and has everything original except capacitor capacitor now is globe 2.25

What is difference with 14 pole motor and 10 pole motor? Just a doubt
14pole have more torque, less speed. Ideal for bigger blades.
10pole (an example) have less torque than 14p but more speed (small blades are ideal).
More no. Of poles = more torque, less speed.
You can calculate the magnetic speed of stator (coil) through
Speed= (120×freq)/No. Of poles.
So frequency always 50hz.
So Speed= (120×50)/14= 428.57rpm
So Actual motor speed always 15-20% less than the theoretical speed due to magnetic & frictional losses. So 14p 48" fan should have max. Speed of 350rpm around

Sir, I have an doubt. While rewinding the fan, they were putting something white colour in the coil and rewinding (due to my Crompton cool breeze coil damaged using oil filled capacitor capacitor). But my cool breeze got damaged and while opening the fan motor that white thing were broke into million pieces. But can I use oil filled capacitor in my new Crompton high speed decora?
Will it get the coil damaged?
IF THAT WHITWE IS A PLASTIC FILM PAPER, THEN ITS THE INSULATION SHEET. THAT IS A COMMON PROBLEM OF USED OLD WINDINGS WITH MILLION PIECES INSULATION PAPER SCATTERING.
PLEASE ADVICE THEM TO PUT QUITE A GOOD AMOUNT OF INSULATING VARNISH AFTER REWINDING FOR BEST RESULTS.
YES U CAN USE OIL CAPACITOR WITH ANY CEILING FAN. JUST NOTE, DONT USE SOME RUBBISH BRAND OIL CAP. THEY WILL LEAK OIL.
USE TIBCON/KELTRON/CAPCO/CONCAP/HAVELLS/JIMCAP/GLOBE OIL CAPACITORS ONLY. OR ELSE USE KELTRON 2.5MFD PVC
I use KELTRON 2.5 SILVER TYPE PVC (behaves as an oil filled capacitor)
This fan blows an enormous amount of air.
Sir why you have changed the downrod and shaft,,,?
Shaft was bent & damaged. So got a longer shaft which is similar to modern fans. Thats why replaced downrod to modern type.

epc canopies are already dried out & replaced downrod is thin...

Old canopy hole is big as old downrod is fat like ½" water pipe. Also the canopies are toast due to dried up plastic

@Tanish Bhagat. If u rewind the fan properly using special grade copper, then performance may increase sometimes... Increment happened in local fans if the original winding is crap.

8pole Stator with new shaft, Rotor ring (if required), Bearing, 36" blade set Aluminium medium, capacitor tibcon/capco 2.5mfd oil, capacitor connector egulo basically laage. 700-800 maximum khorcha hobe ar purono strator exchange korle 70-100₹ discount on new strator.

I also had one Jamed fan named ajantha it's a cheap fan with aluminum windings I left it for some time next to a table fan then when I rotated it suddenly span
One more thing anjantha fan is now unavailable do to the warranty and aluminum windings

Local company do anything they like. Apni fan body+ rotor r sathe match korlei holo. Stator ta 3-4mm boro holey no problem.
