Do you have a mixer (physically or in software)? My audio comes from a USB device which has a software mixer. It's a lot easier to pick out her higher vocals that way - though I prefer the metal sound and think they could have mixed her louder also.
If it was a concious decision to mix it like "they" did,so be it, artisticly it's a choise maby not to argue, soundwise, for me,it's a bit more nuanced, first,it's a great song and fantastic video but, from a audio standpoint/view there are really some little parts, like some endings of sentences from Floor, wich drown (not only in the choirs) in the music. In general it sounds great but ,if i have to choose between artistic interpretation or soundwise,it's the sound i prefer because the artistic message is already in the video and the lyrics. Maby it's personnel view and certainly not a thing to say that it is bad,it's just a "ietsie pietsie"(Dutch for Just a little bit)better for me if vocals on some (little) parts would be a bit more louder.🤔 Oh,i forgot to say, live ,this is gonna be a blast😉🤘
@@strabel803 Tuomas has stated that Nightwish are not going to tour the upcoming album. That means that he's going to have time to compose the next album which I expect to be released in late 2026. So the next tour will be in 27-28 by which time 'Perfume of the Timeless' will be an old song. All this, of course, is assuming that Nightwish will continue beyond 2026. I get the point of a stylistic choice, but I totally agree and many many others have said you cannot understand what floor is actually singing lyrically, and that is due to the mix, and if that is on purpose, I gotta say I am critiquing that choice because you are muffling meaningful lyrics. I can understand the dual layered voices on the chorus, but all through the rest of the song you cannot make out what she is singing lyrically I was only able to decipher the chorus lyrics when everything was quiet, and only Troy‘s voice with a light background was singing the chorus. Thr song musically is absolutely fantastic. Floor’s voice is absolutely incredible as always, but the lyrics being inaudible by the mix is a definite, major flaw.
It's not just you. The vocals are a bit lost in the mix. This may be deliberate as many are stating, and Kai has also mentioned this, but there is a difference between mixing the vocals low, amongst a multitude of voices, and the fact that you cannot hear the lyrics. The lyrics are important - they are always important in Nightwish songs (except perhaps Nymphomaniac Fantasia - still important if you need a laugh) - so, the mix may be intentional, but it's a misstep. Sorry Tuomas - do something about it.
Once again people posting a reaction video are blinded by the beautiful video. The song is a bit of everything from previous Nightiwsh work. You are right about the vocal mix, it is awful, even if it's meant to be. Disappointment!
*Sorry, but I feel to have to intervene here !! "Worst mix ever" ? This is no tekkno-dance-track !! Last sighs on a deathbed

For a curious ghost
Lives lived plain and epic
Of eudaemonia
12 score and 1 chain of lives unending
Welcoming as my offspring
Walks me to the weave
My song it is for mankind
Embers to the stars

For situations where missing message of the song just by one mile was not enough.
Hi Guys, greetings from reading, UK
I really enjoyed your reactions, thank you
We are the last sighs of a million loves = Orgasms? 😁
🤘😊🇫🇮💙🪄🎼✨💯👍
Tuomas Holopainen songwriter,composer. Kiitos.
It’s Floor 💖
You know you gotta show her one of the live versions of Greatest Show on Earth, right?
I hear what you're saying. I believe it is on purpose. The live version should be good...............I bet.
How on earth can you not recognise Floor and all the other band membersx❗
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘 well done but the people you saw, you are completely wrong 😁, those were the band members!!!!
It's not her mom. It's her.
And it's not her dad. It's Kai.😁
Question: Does Floor perhaps get too much attention from the reaktors...
Agree with the vocal mix, but it's much like Tool - and the vocals just become another instrument. But yeah, Floor needs to have a boost.
Nevermind - what were they thinking... Floor is buried in the mix... WTH!
Maby it's personnel view and certainly not a thing to say that it is bad,it's just a "ietsie pietsie"(Dutch for Just a little bit)better for me if vocals on some (little) parts would be a bit more louder.🤔
Oh,i forgot to say, live ,this is gonna be a blast😉🤘
I very much doubt this will ever be performed live :(
@@MeStevely Because?
@@strabel803 Tuomas has stated that Nightwish are not going to tour the upcoming album. That means that he's going to have time to compose the next album which I expect to be released in late 2026.
So the next tour will be in 27-28 by which time 'Perfume of the Timeless' will be an old song.
All this, of course, is assuming that Nightwish will continue beyond 2026.
I could be completely wrong - let's hope I am.
@@MeStevely Okay ,but, let's see and wait. I think it has a lot to do with the state economicly worldwide, and touring has become very expensive, there could be lot's of reason's why it is also not a good time to do a tour right now, i'm sure they like to tour but it is good to take a break and load up their batteries and Especially Floor had 2 very "explosive"years. Let's just have some patience.😉🤘
Should react to anything ayreon as your into nightwish
I listen on a phone and I can hear the lyrics....
Please do more family guy reactions
Once again people posting a reaction video are blinded by the beautiful video. The song is a bit of everything from previous Nightiwsh work. You are right about the vocal mix, it is awful, even if it's meant to be.
Disappointment!
You are absolutely right, floor's voice is very poorly produced, I hope they will correct that before the release of the album
It was done on purpose.
The mix is horrible. Quite possibly the worst mix ever. It's not on your end.
*Sorry, but I feel to have to intervene here !! "Worst mix ever" ? This is no tekkno-dance-track !! The band let the album have been mastered several times until THEY were entirely satisfied with the result. This is the mix they've wanted. Apparently you don't like the result, but if you want to hear only Floor, then listen to her solo-album...* 💿🎵🔥
@@NicholasCorvin Sensitive? Ah yes. A typical Nightwish fan. Boohoo that your teeny weeny widdo feelings are hurt. I definitely don't want to listen to Floor only. I forgot how sensitive your type is
@@NicholasCorvin So sorry to have hurt your sensitive little feelings
This has nothing to do with the mix, Tuomas wanted this to be like that, enjoy or don't but you 're wrong calling this a mistake.
@@elsenm3965 Oh I know it's Tuomas that wanted it that way. I know it wasn't by accident. I never called it a mistake. Mikko and Mika had nothing to do with it. I know that. It's a Tuomas thing. Still a terrible sounding mix imo
The lastest albums of Nightwish are boring as fuck, this is the same.
go listen to the sepoltura
you are boring , why you here
Next Recap, that doesnt freak out of Joy, just throws the stereotypes Fans not confronting "loved it would Hear again, great etc". And if They ask about the Mix, the newly self acclaimed Taste Police of Tuomas Fans comes up and dare you dont accept it the Way it is, bcs Thats what The Band wanted it. And Tuomas is an Messias, ok for me, but dare to not go along, your instantly called dump, musically ignorant and else. Even in This Comment Section just read the @randypeters366 Thread .
For me, Tuomas(and Troy) just decided go on making Agenda driven Music and use all Platforms they had their Hands on their 2 Time Scedules mandatory. No Alternative given, rest of Band can nod and agree for Public and Money or call it quits. My Opinion.
Troy Interview 2020 on Blabbermouth citate:
Asked how he would compare the spirit/essence of AURI with that of NIGHTWISH, Donockley said: "We don't see it as very different from NIGHTWISH at all. Sonically it is, for sure. We were struggling to find a label for it, as it usually happens, so I just tossed out 'celestial metal.' So this Polish journalist said to me, 'I know what you mean about celestial metal. It's kind of heavenly music. It has the metal attitude, but without all of the electric guitars and bass.' Metal is an attitude. citate end.
Both "Bands" are signed to Nuclear Blast as of now.
There you are. I am okay with that, i can grab nearly 25 Years of "uncelestial "Material of Them. But, you "truly understanding Tuomas Genius" Fans, stop to force any into accepting everything as Genius and adapt without own Taste, or being labeled as ignorant or dump.
