Spot on as always Buddy. Glad you're back. Fingers crossed for some more videos. I'm a biker and go on solo tours, you sound like me lots of times. Solo touring can be stressful at times but God it's great. Thank you. Safe travels.
I am so happy that you are back. Loved your first series, watched it all the way through multiple times. This new one looks like a fantastic trip. Looking forward to what's to come!
Great to see you back. Chucking to myself watching you arrive in Pamplona and reminds me of my own trips. Always a little more nervy when your riding abroad alone, with no one to bounce ideas off or check things with you're never sure if you are doing the right thing. Definitely adds to the excitement though and is more rewarding in the end.👍
I always pay for the hotel parking £15.00 is very small change when compared to your bike getting damaged , knocked over someone tinkering with it etc. holiday over before it's begun. Looking forward to the rest of your trip.
Stunning route lovely , I think I would have paid the parking to have it safe I carry a noco jump pack never needed it but think it’s a great thing to have especially on your own thanks for sharing Steven
I’ve just checked out the Noco Jump Pack… that’s an excellent idea - I’m tempted to get one - but I’m going to change the battery first because I’ve had it tested and it’s (apparently) not holding a full charge 😕 You’re right - I’m the end I did pay to park 😊
Ye best to do that it’s safer then and can go around not worrying about it’s safety too much ye batteries can fail at anytime look forward to your second part cheers 🍻 Steven
New to your channel, would love to visit the Pyrenees, sorry but I laughed as you passed the hotel, empty, and then the second time a coach parked up! Loved that trip
That was an interesting watch. We landed at Santander for our Pyrenees trip last month, we made our first night stop just past Pamplona at a place called Sos del Rey. That shot riding up through that valley looked amazing, we should have used less motorway on that first day.
Thank you for your kind words… it’s always a trade off - secondary roads vs motorways - but this time I’m trying to slow down a bit and only take those secondary roads. Pamplona was lovely 😃
Yep where you follow the delivery bike past the authorised vehicles only sign would be where the pedestrian area starts! Not to worry I’ve done the same 🙂
Greetings from Ireland, enjoy your content. Two questions: why have a sat nav and phone navigation as well? Do you pre book your accommodation or on the day? Planning a similar trip next year
Hi Glen, to be honest I don’t really like the Garmin - my phone is so much easier to use and more intuitive. With regards to booking places - with my first trip I booked a lot of hotels well in advance but with this latest trip I largely turned up in a town and THEN only looked for somewhere. I guess that’s one of the advantages of going slightly out of season 😊
Hi Tony, if you have a tracker on you GS it will drain the battery , this happened to me. 2 seconds to jump it with Jump leads my friend made me as a bit of a joke, that was in 21 when bike new , but it happened again so bought a new battery and keep it on the optimate when at home. Regards Robert
I have a 21 R1250 GSA and the tracker killed 2 batteries. I bought a new optimate and it helped preserve the battery. Ultimately I got the dealer to remove the tracker and I upgraded the battery (high performance battery from Nippy Norman’s) prior to touring in Europe this year. I have had no hassles since - over 2000miles.
I would REALLY appreciate a link to the battery you installed because BMW want to charge me £160 for a as new one!!!!! 😧… plus I can see there’s lots of different Optimate chargers - would you mind sharing which one you bought since we have the same bike - that would be hugely helpful 😃
@@laterrider Hi there , I would recommend you buy the charger first as these chargers can recover a very bad battery back to normal use, it would save the price of a new battery at £62.00. I changed the battery then bought a new charger and it recovered the old battery so dont make my mistake, buy the charger I think you'll find that works. Regards Robert

Thanks Danny… I think I was over worrying there a tad 😃
@@laterrider Ive been riding for years abroad and still do😆, It just means you are respectful of others and care.👍

I think that’s very wise advice 😊
N260 Spanish Pyrenees. I'm on it right now, full length west to east. 523km of incredible road
That’s fantastic - I hope you’re having an amazing time 😃

That was frustrating 😂 thanks for watching and I hope you do get to ride the Pyrenees one day 😊
@@laterrider me too, if you are ever doing it again, give me a shout...lol
I’m sure you will 😊

Did you adjust the Alarm settings when you parked on the ferry, wondering why the battery drained…. Have a great trip -ride safe…
Thanks you. Actually I've just had the battery tested and apparently it's only holding 52% charge! :-/
Did you cough up and pay to park at the hotel 😂! Glad the bike carried on running.
I did indeed… actually the hotel has an arrangement with a local parking space so it wasn’t too expensive 😊
How do you record your voice Tony for the videos?
Hi Tommy, I just use a lavalier mic in my helmet connected to the GoPro

@@derekhastings8481 Totally Concur !
So where did you park your bike, hope you found a safe place for it 👍
I parked it in a garage - I was definitely overly worrying about this one 😃
