i love boats ! the last time i went to Nashville i sat but the dock and watch this towboat move this load i love it!! i could sit n watch them for hours! keep up the good work!!
Nice looking T/B. Took a ride on a couple of TB's during my area familiarizing ride from Tell City to Louisville during my break-in period after arriving at Coast Guard Ohio River Group in Owensboro Ky, 1983-86. Great times.
Always loved these Nashville Bridge Towboats, I remember seeing the Crimson Duke and Crimson Gem on the upper mississippi in 1993, great work and keep it coming.
what are those sticks in front of barges in water? We don't have this in our brazilian convoy. The largest convoy allowed in brazil is 25 barges with azimuthal propulsion
They are called “sounders” they help the captain see how deep the water is under the barges, we tend to come across a lot of sandbars and dikes that can make us run a ground(crash).
I typically part under the bridge when filming at new bridge or in between. This video was shot from 3 locations metal museum, that one, and the center lot up mud island.

I’ve shot 2 of the 3 sisters now. The stack set into the second deck is pretty unique, I love the way the first deck stairs are on this style.
You can always tell a St Louis Ship built boat, too.
The way they curve the lines like a piece of used soap...
Good grief this is so beautiful I deeply appreciate you putting this up
Beautiful I'm particularly partial to the American Heritage..... it was the first one I watched 😁🎄
Hard not to like that boat she’s beautiful.

Did you walk across the bridge to the park or drive through the gate?

Barges are empty at the beginning, can tell by the draft marks. They are sitting high in the water.
Cool! I liked and subscribed
Thanks!
Thats just a medium size tow for that M/V I brought 48lds S/B on her when they started coming south 6 long 8 wide
I don’t build the tows sir just film them. Most of these are just for fun so it’s totally as my schedule allows.
