- The One Pound Fish Man, Shahid Nazir, joins Tom for a very very good discussion about what it was like being the nations favourite fish-sales-based-singer, and what he has been up to recently. Shahid even debuts a BRAND NEW SONG for us on the show! Not a one pound fish remix, a completely new song with new lyrics.
Shahid comes from Pakistan originally and shortly after moving to the UK began selling fish in Queens Market, Upton Park West Ham. A video of Shahid singing his tune “come on ladies come on ladies One Pound Fish” “very very good and very very cheap” went viral nationwide. He even performed on the X-Factor and made a music video with Warner Music. The rest we’ll hear about in the interview.
Shahid has recently gained another surge of popularity with remixes and mash ups coming from TikTok, beginning with The Kiffness.
