5 years ago I used to rent in the building shown at the very start (the corner flat number 4) before I was forced to leave by the gangs who operate in the area and who would do absolutely everything to kick regular people out of there. Seeing it being run down with windows smashed is only a proof that nothing's changed over the past 5 years since I moved out. Absolutely horrendous to sell these homes to people without not even a single mention of that sort of risk anywhere. Not worth any money!

To question: “Why houses in Liverpool are red?” Answer: It goes way back to Nordic history related to Liverpool. The color, known specifically as “Falu red”, has been a consistent symbol of pastoral life in Sweden. Houses painted in such colour indicated the members of Swedish diaspora in the UK (mainly Liverpool). Look at the Liverpool FC logo - it is in same red copper colour.

Shut up you’re not even from Liverpool, it’s absolutely nothing to do with any of that nonsense

Big posh cars but run down houses and a dumping ground for rubbish. Sad.

It's 2024 and these houses are from the 1890's with street landscapes to match. It might be better to demolish them and build modern houses with ground level parking and the living space on the upper floors, this would free up the street space and allow for a more attractive environment with trees and traffic restrictions to create a place where people would want to live Victorian terraces are attractive id looked after but it seems that there is just neglect here.. Sadly, money comes before people.

What an absolute shit-tip, looks like most were sold for a £1 and that's all that was spent on them, take the tins off the windows and move in, full of taxi drivers 😂😂

Very sad so many of the houses are still derelict. This was a scheme that could've gone national and brought lots of areas back to life as well as lots of jobs in the construction trade. I read somewhere at the start of the scheme the council would give upto £25,000 for the renovations

Tunstall wasn't part of the one pound scheme the Council spent a fortune doing that up

    Really don't like painted bricks.
Perhaps they do it to protect the mortar from weathering ?

Why are cars allowed to park on the pavement over there? You seemed to have a job walking along - really bad .

These are old victorian streets and properties if they park on the road it impedes traffic, as you can see in the video.

But how can the people access their properties? Not very safe is it? Don't people matter over there?@@snorlonikins1

Parking on the footpath is not permitted in London but elsewhere the councils are to useless to enforce it. A change of law is required, write to you MP.
