Paige is a leader anytime she gets on the court. She helps every one of her teammates become better. This is a continuous effort on her part. And the result is that they do get better. Now that they have had to play some games without her that learning is coming out. And when she comes back they will ALL be that much better. It ought to be an exciting time.
You can also tell that he is also relieved that they found an identity still can dominant (well the big east atleast) but win without her but overall I think he can take back that statement he don't like the way his team looks without her.
Yeah John White...you got that rght. When Paige does return to the line-up along with Azzi , the NCAA tournament should prove to be very entertaining.. If the remainder of the UConn team stays healthy, they will be a very difficult team to beat.
It will be interesting to see what happens with minutes/rotation when Paige and Azzi get back. Geno usually plays only 7 in close games, but I don't think Ducharme is going back to the bench all game, so he now has way too many guards.
Geno best of luck when Paige returns....you will need to have the rest do some rebounding exersises. They seem to stand around too much! A young girl in Toms River should be on your radar! Shes a sophmore and already over 6 feet, playing ball and scoring! Remember the name Megan!!
He needs to let her be her more often, iowa let Catilin Clark be herself and she took off. Let Paige shot more and she will be a better scorer, paige was ranked #1 high school prospect and Catilin was #4, he has held her back.
@@robertjames1087 I think he's bored with the questions and keeps trying to come up with a new spin on them. Also, the slower he talks, the fewer silly questions he has to deal with.
How about coaching up the top recruits that you have on the bench instead of putting all that pressure on one person. Geno you remind me of the New England Patriots in the AFC. No real competition all year til the playoffs.
He has been coaching up the younger players since Paige has been out I mean look at where they were the first few games and look at them now. With that said Paige will need the extra coaching when she gets back 2 months is a long time to be out and she will need to get back in shape and into the flow of the game.
