Promoting a Project

You've no doubt seen me promoting the "Catgirls, Dungeons and Zombies!" Comic Kickstarter I am currently doing - I've not stopped talking about it here:

But promoting a project is so weird! I don't know why but it feels like I'm missing something. I don't fully understand how people think / act / or what is a good way to communicate with people about the project without being irritating or anything like that.
