Dude, I am loving your channel. The passion and just raw pleasure you get from opening packs is reminiscent of my own. I started playing Magic in 1993 and quit around 2002ish. I just started playing again, learning about the new formats. I bought my first cards in 20 years with Neon Dynasty. Man, have I got stories I could share with you from those old days. The day I started playing Magic, I was in my LGS playing DnD with the store owner. He got his delivery of Alpha and I think the 4 of us opened up 80ish boxes of Alpha and each of us took 2 additional boxes each. I regret getting out of Magic, my old collection probably made some people a lot of money. It is good getting to watch your vids, I am living vicariously through them, especially the older openings. Prior to Neon Dynasty, the last set I ever bought cards for was Invasion. Want to be heartbroken right fast? In 1996 I sold an unopened box of Alpha for $225. Everyone in our area assumed Alpha was going to be worthless because of playability issues with the corners so I was not concerned selling it.
I've purchased 5 or 6 Walmart collector packs......and still no big hits either....but the next one I buy.....that's the one....I don't have a problem.....get off me!

This brought back some memories...Medina is my hometown. I used to play and trade Magic on the weekends at a store called Heroes Guild that was in the same plaza as the antique mall (which was a grocery store at the time). Around 94/95ish I was 10-13yo. They ran Saturday afternoon tournaments - mix of type I and type II. good times.
I don't collect anything currently (except dust), but I do enjoy seeing old fashioned rotary phones and typewriters. Something about old technology is satisfying
Our store is at something similar. We have pokemon MTG action figures comics books and board games. It's been a great little side gig. Most of our singles get sold on TCGplayer, but this has worked out really well for us. Thanks for the video.
Enjoyed the video Joey! I go to a summer flea market and got a Chains of M regular Legends for $5 a few years ago. Guy had no idea. Sold it for $600. Also got a bunch of other good stuff for next to nothing but that was my best find ever at a flea market by far.

I have many types of love for collectibles coins are so amazing as well as MTG. I'VE GOT A PRETTY NICE COLLECTION. That Red note in one of the area's rarer you were looking at. Silver certificates are sweet as well
Anyone else collects ancient coins? I'm mainly into Roman Imperatorial (Julius Caesar, Mark Antony, Cleopatra, Brutus, Octavian...) and Greek ancient gold and silver. I never got over the idea that I was feeling the exact same sensations holding my coins than their owners from 2000-2500 years ago felt. I also collect objects that have been into space (some of them even landed on the Moon) on NASA missions and spare parts from spacecrafts and spacesuits.
Coins are great!! I have quite a sizeable collection. Recently converted some of my collection into cash though to jumpstart my new Magic decks since I'm new to commander.

Best find at a flea market for me was an original package The Sorceress from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, a steal for $6 or $7. Honestly, I'm not afraid to admit I have a full collection of the Spice Girls On Tour figures.
One time I went to one of these things and they had a bunch of singles. I was like 6 years old and somehow picked out an unlimited power surge for like a dollar. Just sold it for 70
Lol i found a sealed alpha beta at the flea marlet for 10 bucks. Also some time ago i found all the urza decks open and sealed at the same flea. 25 bucks for all of them.
I've been to a few second hand stores searching for magic cards but so far nothing yet. I haven't been to a flea market in forever though maybe this video inspired me to go to one again just in case...
Went to a flee market and there was a guy selling old theros and zendikar deck boxes they all came with 2 packs them and I ended up pulling a expo land was really cool

No kidding. If anything people think the cards are worth way more than they actually are vs massively undervaluing.
The internet has made it easy for anyone who can use google to get some idea of what they have. It’s not like 10 years ago

Bought a Kamagawa bundle at Target yesterday. Had 10 packs in it! Had to count em 3 times to be sure.

I have never been able to find Magic cards in the local antique malls or thrift stores. Not even dollar stores carry them.
Not a flea market, but I got a bin of old cards at a yard sale with a lion's eye diamond and phyrexian dreadnaught in it.
Some of those hotwheels were EXPENNNNNNSIVE lol
