It's dirt/dust. I vacuum out my camera and brush and clean the gate but even then sometimes I get the scratchy look on my film. I have to K3's and the are old. A good disassembly and cleaning would be helpful. I did it once to one of them and it took me forever to get it back together. They both need a pro cleaning.
The video is about regular 16mm vs Ultra16 which is different than super16. The Meteor will cover super16 when set above 23-25mm depending on the vintage of the lens..
Hi there, thanks for your comment. I very much enjoy your channel. The trick to syncing the sound is to sync words and phrases and recording an ambient track and then bed that track under the dialog so to cover up the editing of the dialog track. It's not a perfect science and takes some time but you can get the sync pretty close.
Thank you very much for your video and sharing the information. Beyond of the meteor lens, I couldn't find any information about "the Russian bayonet". The Mir 11 seems to be a great plugin! I also tried Mechanical Shutter Cable. of cameras, but I haven't had any luck getting it to screw on. Can you tell me what thread size it is? Once again, thank you very much for your video. Health!
Hi there. The bayonet mount is on the early K3's. You can find more info at k3camera(dot)com. I don't believe there is a screw mount version of the Mir 11 lens but there may be some customize versions of it. The shutter cable I have is made by Nikon. You have to find a cable with tapered threads. There are a few bayonet mount K3's on eBay you have to keep an eye out for them if that's a model you're interested in but most people are looking for the screw mounted version. Also there is a Bayonet mount to Micro 4/3's mount adapter available too. Which allows me to use the Russian lenses on my BMPCC OG or any other micro 4/3's camera.
@@HerbiePabst Once again, thank you very much for your information. Yes, I bought a K.3 years ago. Russian bayonet mount. But I had never dared to use it. You are right that there are many MIR 11s that have been modified, I am afraid I am wrong. I will be careful. Thanks for the tripwire info. Health!
Love this. The K3 community needs more content. Keep it coming.
Any reason as to what caused your film scratching?

super helpful! thanks
K3 is a great camera to shoot 16mm.
Great video. Is there a way to realign the bayonet mount?
I have not heard of anyone realigning a bayonet mount but than doesn't mean someone hasn't done it.
I didnt know meteor at 17mm covered super16. How is that possible?

Great informative video! Love the footage at the end. Do you got some 25 seconds from one wind. How did you manage to sync the sound?

Keep watching eBay, you may just find one.
Krasnogorsk, isn’t that right up the road from Magnitogorsk?
Yes I believe so! Hi Norm.
