I have the 04 cbr1000rr. My brother has the 02 954rr. I've owned this bike for nearly 18yrs. This spring it's going in for retirement. It's the second rode bike I've owned. I'll be completely restoring it and putting it in my basement as a decoration.
@Drco89ol just not a comfortable ride anymore. I'm getting up in age it hurts my back and wrists. I've already upgraded to a bmw s1000r more of a upright position and just all around more comfortable ride.
Ive also had the 929RR , an 07 CBR1000RR and rode the 2017 a few times, Ive also had 2006 ZX10 and a 2016, I still feel like the 07 CBR1000RR has been the best bike for me.

2021 model looks so sick. I know many would say that the panigale is the best looking sportbike due to it looking futuristic, but this RR-R is as futuristic and more masculine looking in my opinion
My dream and goal bike is the 12' - 14- model. Its sexy and futuristic looking. The style and design imo will hold up for so many years to come. Just the like cbr600rr 07-08 gen. The robotic look in the front. That bike when i had it got compliments so much everywhere and anywhere. Way more than my r6 😄😔 i truly miss it.

I owned the 2001 929RR, 2004 CBR 1000RR, 2006 CNR 1000RR, 2008 CBR 1000RR and now currently own the 2017 CBR 1000RR - love/d them all !

Hows the low to mid range torque compare between the ‘08 and ‘17??

@@Gosick02 yes. Burned oil quicker than others. Great machine you just need to keep an eye on the oil.
