I have a 2022 iPad Pro and a 2017 iPad Pro. Honestly same experience and I don’t plan on buying anymore.

Honestly, if you deal with serious EXCEL spreadsheet, just switch to the damn PC, finish off your work, then stick with the iPad for:
1) Meeting
2) Open up excel to check for things (not the massive editing type)
3) Watch movie on the go
4) Play AAA games, even with controller
5) Watch TH-cam
6) Use notes
7) Use Microsoft Project
8) Show off your iPad with a Magic Keyboard in an expensive coffee shop
9) Buy new expensive backpack to keep your iPad Pro M4 with a Magic Keyboard
10) Visit your relative house and bring out the iPad and Magic Keyboard act like you’re busy to check some emails but actually just to let them ask about “wow is that a Magic Keyboard?”

Your daily workflow is so simple. Could you do one day challenge with ipad using microsoft word, excel and powerpoint where you have to plot graphs and prep a presentation?

I think it was really dumb to remove a camera. It was already there. Also, this stuff with Siri they need to make a move. It’s absolutely ridiculous at 99% of the time she can’t do anything you ask her to mine barely responds unless you actually push the button, so hands-free does no good most of the time I’m running an iPhone 15 Pro Max, that’s why I’m holding off taking delivery of my new iPad until after the conference so I don’t have to worry about a return so we shall see you Monday.
It’s fine they removed camera no one takes pictures on iPad anyways and yeah it saves money for Apple taking an expensive wide angle camera out

I'm sure these minor inconveniences will be improved via software updates. Overall though, you can pretty much get by with most things using just the iPad Pro.

Sadly June has pased and still no mac OS functionality at least the way we want it to be.
I replaced a first gen iPad Pro with the new iPad Pro. The old one still worked except the battery is shot. I love the new iPad but I’m still getting used to full time iPadOS. I feel like I need to learn 10% new to operate the OS. I’m worried I may miss my MacBook Pro. I also have an M2 Mini.
I just wish iPads support whatsapp
iPads are best for students from universities or even full time jobs.
Sadly, i had planned to switch to Ipad Only, and definitely, Ipad is not enough for daily life, no good files management, no Shell or bash, Windows management, just one external monitor... definitely, Ipad still being "a big ipod"
Jud, wouldn’t you be able to plug in a dock dongle to use a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard? I would imagine Satechi has compatible ones that would work.
How is this M4 iPad only experience any different than it has been for the past 6-7 years? The limitation here is not the hardware, it’s the software.

Love the Video! Do you find the lighter version of pro the 13” can be used longer in tablet mode. I had a 12.9 and returned it because it was to heavy but I miss the real estate when docked…
I had the previous 13 inch ipad and got the new one. Yeah. I actually feel like i can hold it like a tablet now. It’s a pretty big difference

iPad OS just isn’t it if you want it to be a replacement for a MacBook. There are some things it’s good for, but there’s so much wasted power on the iPad Pro.
