As a wrestler coming into BJJ I am in love with playing guard. I did my first tournament a few months in thinking I’d wrestle my way through it and I got my ass kicked by a good guard player. Since then I’ve been in love with guard. Love the vids dude thanks for all the tips!
Your head positioning at 5:37 seems like it could potentially be dangerous. Because it's lower on the body and his left leg is in front of the head, this could lead to choi bar entries or rolling armbar entries as well. Your opponent could also choose to take wrist control on your left hand and enter shoulder crunch and Kimura attacks as well. It looks like none of those things happened though so I probably don't know what I'm talking about lol. Awesome video
There’s definitely a risk, but if you watch Gabriel Sousa breakdown with Mikey musumeci “how I passed Mikey musumeci” he talked about how he avoided the Choi bar and I used the same concept of keeping my hand on the opposite side and pressuring forward. Also I think talked about it in the video but “threat management,” is another good concept. We can shut down the offense using our offense, the passing threat is too strong causing my opponent to only focus on that 👍
@@swuffy464 my opponent attempts to choi bar he loses. I have like 3 options to pass if he even attempts it. 1. switch left hand grip to tricep grip and circle overhead to N/S or side control. 2. if he kimuras or gable grips my left arm I can reverse it into an armbar, it actually happened later and the ref fucked me rip th-cam.com/video/HLy95mqvqQQ/w-d-xo.html timestamp: 8:25 3. the strongest option, thigh drag. Which happened lol
Could you show what happens if they manage to get their bottom leg in and their highlight in? Because it’s hard for me to imagine what you’re trying to prevent
Here’s the raw video so you can see clearer: th-cam.com/video/HLy95mqvqQQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ey_SaT_jvu7U1UCm 00:23 he gets the high leg in - wasn’t able to pin his hips 03:30 he gets the bottom leg in - he almost escaped out one way in north south and I overcorrected and lost my position Throughout the match the goal is to pass or if I can’t pass I want to be consistently wearing him down. The style that I’m using, in my opinion does that really effectively and both times he was able to recover he had to expend more energy than I am having to pass. As the match continued you’ll see that it gets a lot easier to find these passes as his explosiveness starts to dwindle. Hope this helps though!
You must be sandbagging. People eating this up on social media is concerning. Yikes. Had to check your other social media. Teaching a seminar? Who are you teaching it, Toddlers? What are your credentials?
@@Capitan_Chaos credentials? Knowing what I’m talking about 😁 happy to talk to you about anything outside guard passing, which is what I’ll be covering in the seminar. Feel free to come learn 👍
Me and Kriya came up together as kids, we still train together, he's an absolute beast. Impressive stuff he's no easy opponent
One day you're gonna post "How to win ADCC /CJI" Can't wait to see that one ☝️ 💪

Great details. I think I'm finally understanding the concepts of slash passing. With the wall, and all that energy, now time to experiment.
great passing man, your opponent has really good mobility off of his back. its awesome that you are working on developing your own systems.
Nice break down, game is game.
Excited for the guard progression! That's where I need work on!
Are you another one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's sons?
Jokes aside, this was helpful. Thank yo.
THE REVOULUTION!!!
Good stuff

@@Carsahh Totally understand. I definitely agree that treat management is super important to more easily impose your game on someone.
Is that the REV at the Puyallup fair… I was there
Where’s the slash passing instructional?
I believe some people have to go to desktop in order to see the “join” button to get access 👍
"a prodigy" as his ass sticks up to the sky 🤣
It’s crazy once you actually understand the technical reason why though 😅😂
