Mixing Masterclass with Richard Furch [Prince, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd]

Diamond selling mix engineer Richard Furch walks us through an international pop mix in this MixCon Masterclass. First, he shows off his approach to pop vocals, drums and more in stereo before diving into Atmos.
At the start of his career, Richard Furch was part of some of the seminal albums of the 2000’s such as Outkast’s “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below” and Usher’s “Confessions” and critical darlings such as Fountains Of Wayne’s “Stacy’s Mom”.
As a mixer, his credits have grown to include the likes of Prince, Frank Ocean, Jay-Z, Tyrese, BJ The Chicago Kid, Tobi Lou, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Leela James, India.Arie, TGT, Boyz II Men, The Weeknd, Ledisi, K Michelle, Chaka Khan, JJ Lin, GEM, Tanya Chua just to mention a few, adding up to 6 Grammy winning albums out of 23 nominated albums.

Does the audio to the speakers come from the renderer or thru Dolby bridge back into protools in the ik setup? Do you use the new virtual protools audio routing?
