So cool watching Dave tender those vocals on the spot. Also with him explaining his thought process. Very inspiring.

Watching Dave treat that vocal was magic. Yeah, we didn't hear it in context, but seeing the process of a pro is always great.

What a Great ITL. Dam Dave you killed it.
It was magical just to watch his skills in action.

Great episode! I have never thought about how I would apply an auto-tuner to Indian vocals, it would be crazy challenging. Something I have always admired about Indian music is their use of inner-octaves, e.g. the exploration of a 12-tone (or more, or less) scale (the "sliding around" between notes) contained within a western whole tone. That and their use of midrange really has an effect on a careful listener.

Loved the ITL. Diving into different musical asthetics not only is fun its intelligent too. I imagine in 20 years due to demographics and globalisation the eastern countries will gain huge influence on our cultures.

i would love to see something like this for an entire mix. just see how you work from start to finish. in your itls you only show what you have done to something but we never see how you work. great videos tho, i love em :)

Can you please post a link to the Justin Meldal-Johnson blog post you mentioned in the first few minutes? Dave said it was about recording bass.
