- Room 3624 at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is located on the first floor of Alligator Bayou Building 36. This Woods View - 5th Sleeper room sleeps five, with two queen beds and one child-size pull-down bed. The room has hints of theming from The Princess and the Frog throughout.
Port Orleans - Riverside is one of Disney's Moderate resorts and is located in the Disney Springs area. When staying at Port Orleans - Riverside, you can also easily access its sister resort, Port Orleans - French Quarter, via boat, walking paths, or vehicle. To get to Disney Springs, there is both boat and bus transportation. There is also bus transportation to the four Disney theme parks. The resort offers ample parking, including parking close to Building 36 for those with vehicles. There are a total of six pools conveniently located throughout the resort.
Having multiple dining options on property was extremely convenient. We ate in the food court area multiple times throughout our stay! There was a quiet, nature-like feel to the resort. Even the walk to the main resort area was enjoyable with the trees, river, and walking bridge. There are also hammocks located near the main pool and fishing hole.
Things to Keep in Mind:
• Room 3624 is a connecting room (to 3623) - great for if you are traveling with another party, but can be noisy if there are loud neighbors
• The room is about a 5-10 minute walk to the main resort area (pool, lobby, dining, shopping, etc)
• The boat ride to/from Disney Springs is approximately 30 minutes, with a stop at Port Orleans - French Quarter
• The room can be a little dark, even during the day with the curtains of both windows open
Tips and Tricks:
• The HDMI port you need to use to hook up external devices to the TV is located on the wall behind the 5th sleeper
• There is room for a single air mattress if you would like an additional bed for someone
• It might be a tad small, but an adult CAN fit on the 5th sleeper
• There is space to store luggage under the beds
• Be sure to head over to Port Orleans - French Quarter for the Mickey-shaped beignets

Did you find your building to be super far of a walk from everything? We are booked in a fifth sleeper woods view, no room number listed yet, and I’m worried about my mom having issues with how far it might be from everything.
Hi Kaitlyn - we never had an issue with the walk (and even enjoyed being in nature), BUT if you have someone with mobility concerns, I could see it being an issue. You might be able to request a somewhat closer building (buildings 38 and 39 were even a little closer) when you check in, though I didn’t even see Preferred Rooms as an option when you have the 5th sleeper. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
