I used to work here for 6 months on the Disney college program! I worked in the food court in riverside and it was incredible! If anyone has any questions about the resort I’ll be happy to answer them!
Thanks for the offer. I’m looking forward to the small, quaint nature of French Quarter, but I’m hearing I need to allow a lot of time for bus transportation to the parks. One stop in FQ and then three in riverside. Any advice? I’m going the end of August. Thank you
Shahna Allen honestly it all depends on when you go. August will not be that busy since kids are starting school and stuff so you should be fine traffic wise. There’s always a bus and also “mini vans” that are like Disney Uber that take you to the parks, and there’s also the boat that can take you to Disney springs as well.
We are bringing our two children’s hospital therapy dogs. Where can we walk them and have fun doing so? Can we take them fishing?❤️🐕🐕❤️Seriously cannot get any info on where we can walk them on property.

Just stumbled across this video and was so glad I did. As I'm going to Port Orleans next month. I'm amazed at how much there is to do there for a smallish Resort. But it's my live stream to stay at each Disney Resort at least once in my life. This will be my 4th Disney Resort after Coronado Springs twice, Caribbean Beach, Animal Kingdom Lodge, And now POFQ. I will also visit Riverside while I am here. The dining options look incredible. Having been to the real New Orleans, I'm looking forward to seeing how authentic Disney's version is. French Quarters has always been one of my fave places to stay on property, regardless of price point. Great convenient sized footprint, excellent themong, gorgeous property, and LOVE the boat ride to DS. If not staying, I would try to get here once a trip to grab a mufaletta sanwich, and some beigents, and soak in the ambiance. Like the aethetic at FQ much better than Riverside, but the food court at Riverside is better, IMO. I MISS all the Mardi Gras masks, etc. before they redid the food court at FQ!! As always I LOVE the style of your logs, and our awesome sense of humor and delivery, Molly - you are awesome!!
Great job, but how could you forget one of the main reasons people come from all over WDW to Port Orleans Riverside? It's to see the famous Yehaa Bob performing live several evenings a week in the Riverside bar. Bob is a Disney legend. It's free.
1st time seeing your videos, well done. stayed there with my wife and kids as well as my Brother and his family, we loved that resort. Next time we go we will most likely be staying there again, and taking part in some of the things I did not know were even there, thanks to your video I now know 8) . last time we went the kids were all younger, now that they are all grown up, I think a little more night life and live music will be just the ticket, and we never did the boat rides into what was called down town Disney then, but should have. thank you for the video !

You are so much fun Molly, I kinda wanna hang out with you next time I’m in the World😉We are DVC members since 1996 so we think we know just about everything you need to know about the parks, resorts, etc. But every video I have watched thus far I learn something new that I can’t wait to check out the next time we are there! OMG those Mickey Beignets are a must every time I go. This is a great resort to stay at. I love taking the carriage ride on the Riverside. I often suggest to clients to stay at this resort. There is so much to do. I love the fishing. You rent a rod and fish over the dock.
Cathy Grace // Uh, YES to value resorts! Pop Century for the win! Elvis Presley music and Lady and bowling pin pools, yes please! Also, be sure to ask for fresh beignets when you visit Port Orleans. We’ve had the best of the best, straight from New Orleans (so we’re biased) and the Mickey beignets were disappointing-but the server also pulled them from under the heat lamp, so now I know to ask for fresh next time!
Toni-Ann Myers, I was afraid he wasn’t mentioned because he wasn’t there anymore . I usually stay at PORS and I always spend at least a couple of evenings in the lounge with Bob. He’s the best!
Gail I follow him on Facebook. He is still there but he does take quite a bit of time off for travel and he is only there (last time I checked) Wed-Sat nights. It’s quite possible he was out of town last time you were there.
I would imagine there is a schedule of the live performances at Port Orleans online. I plan to be there in a couple of weeks and definitely want to check out this place on one of my days there.
Another fun thing here is renting one of those bicycles and going around the resort. I almost took out a duck while making a left. No more muddy rivers before bicycling folks
I was waiting to see if you would mention the pool. I love everything about POFQ. Would love to try that All That Jazz drink! Theming is so well done at this resort.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Port Orleans! But...you forgot to mention Yehaa Bob Jackson at River Roost Lounge (POR), twilight movies (yeah, all the resorts have this feature, but it is still worth a mention), trivia on the board in Jackson Square Gifts at POFQ. Speaking of trivia, POFQ has a trivia night each week -- and the winners receive arcade credits! The Ol' Swimmin' Hole at POR is fantastic -- as is their quiet pool (shhh, don't tell anyone about this.) It is also worth a mention that, on Mardi Gras Tuesday, the cast members at Port Orleans have their own little Mardi Gras parade! Port Orleans is just a fantastic resort -- evening strolls along the river are a must -- and we love staying there. Je t'aime, Port Orleans!
Thought #1 would be Piano (YeHaw) Bob at Boatwrights. PORFQ is our family's favorite resort and Bob is a must do for us. Going back in two weeks. You know we will stop bye.
Its our all time favorite resort with the favorite changing from Riverside to French Quarter, depending which one we stayed at most recently. Our first trip to French Quarter was when Riverside was called Dixie Landings.... Its the best....just like you and your videos...always so much fun.
We just did the Painting in De Bayou class at French Quarter and loved it! ❤️ Port Orleans is our favorite moderate and one of our top 3 favorite resorts! We also just checked out the renovated Scat Cat’s Club and it is AMAZING!! We will have to try that All That Jazz drink!
