I’ll mow one of these days! I played pick up sticks Sunday in the yard. We’ve had a series of windy storms. Was out visiting a store in Carolina Monday, rained yesterday and is iffy today! I’d like to restore this one. Dad got it when he was a kid.

@AbbyNormalGarage That's very cool. We don't have a long history with Wheelhorse here. Other tractors, though, yes.
We've been playing the same game with the sticks. VERY serious winter storm here last week.
Soon, we'll have to get out and start processing our firewood for next year.

Great work overall! I really like your attic storage with the winch too! Also like how you sharpen the blades. I have done it maybe twice in 4 years and use a flap disk, but then again I use a flap disc for everything 😅 and I “balance” them with a screw horizontally…close enough I guess but have been wanting an actual balancer like you have. When it comes to decks, I typically remove them and take em to the scrapyard 😂 we have one mower that’s a dedicated mower, but we’ve joked about making it into a mud mower too😮 another great video, will be looking for the next one!

Can’t go wrong with the flap disc. That amerisharp jig used a grinder with a 60 grit flap disc. Someone gave it to me. I usually sharpen once a season. I rotate the deck around so it stays pretty clean underneath. Hard way to prevent rust. Hopefully someone got the 42” off Steffens 310. You should do a zero turn mud mower I don’t think anyone’s done that or I haven’t seen.

@@AbbyNormalGarage we still have the deck from his mower, not sure how to find someone who would want it? I guess post it on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace?

@@Tennesseemountainhomestead I’d do market place and share to Wheel horse Junkies on FB. The 42’s are pretty popular. I’m dead set on the 48” I had a spare I sold it on a 520 last year. I have one that needs completely restored but it’s solid.
