Oh yeeees! Love the new album and cant wait to see him in Seattle soon! We need more song writers/singers like Brian Fallon....I love his nervous energy and rambling of stories and the imperfections of his voice on stage, this all makes it seem so real, down to earth and honest, just so vulnerable. He gives us all something we can relate to, songs of heartbreak, never ending love, long drives, memories of being young again. Brian makes you feel, and I thank him for that.
I recently had a back and forth with a guy who was complaining about the imperfections in Rosemary recorded live at the paste studio's. He just couldn't understand that for many it's not perfection in the technical aspect that makes a song good/great but it is all about the emotion, the emotion of the performer and the emotion it illicit in the listener. These live sessions remind me of setting in my room, a converted two car garage with the walls covered in sound batting, listening and just B?Sing with friends who were in fact quite talented. Several of the people who played there went on to make a living in music. As far as talented I'm a really good listener
The Elsie record was a bit poo, apart from behold the hurricane, but his 2 solo records both blew me away! Been listening to Brian's music since 2008 and his solo records are by far my favourite.
Elsie was a masterpiece. You need to give it another listen, each song on it is masterclass songcraft. It took a bit to grow on me too but it quickly became one of my all time favourites. The arrangements, the lyrics, each song completely packed with emotion. A+ record.
Peter Davies i like him too. And I feel sad when I see that live he is often below averagage. I honestly think he should leave guitar and focus on voice
Gabriel Tripaldi fair enough. It takes all sorts tho. And Brian is unorthodox which is really refreshing. We get too obsessed with technique sometimes (100% include myself in that)

Mark Knopfler is a Genius the man is so damn good words don't do him justice. Glad Brian mentioned him.
He does a cover of sultans of swing that is quite good.
Just so you know we don't think the new record is good------we think it's fantastic probably one of the greatest recordings of all time
