It’s great to re-live the days when Father Biff first changed my life! Thanks to Father Biff, I’m now a productive member of society… though perhaps with a few butt-kicking scars here and there! 😂

these are the kinds of letterman skits that are 12 seconds of the program but made me laugh disproportionately hard

Yeah, Biff is pretty great. Some would say he's tough but tender.

My all-time favorite "Father Dowling Mysteries" parody.

I recall there was a time that they were making fun of this similar show:

Lol, yes. "Dowling" was new in '89, though.

@@antisepticmanor It's funny how deceptive memories can be. For DECADES, I've remembered 'Father Biff' as a parody of NBC's crime drama "Helltown," starring Robert Blake. But I come here and see that "Helltown" (1985) and 'Father Biff' (1989) were actually 4 years apart!
Another false memory --- I've always remembered that Father Biff's catchphrase was "tough love," as in:
DL: So, Father Biff, how are you going to straighten these young punks out?
FB: With tough love, Dave, tough love.
Yet, as we see here, NOT ONCE does Father Biff utter this phrase!

The hoodlum on the left is tough but communicative. The hoodlum on the right is tough but quiet.

He said that they had to go to church for the rest of their lives … but he never said how long they had left to live.

Thanks for posting! Any chance you have any Biff Henderson's Where Are They Now?

There were 23 "Where Are They Now" in total on Late Show, from 1997 until 2011. Some with Alan Kalter, some by Biff. Unlikely I'll put together a compilation anytime soon, as most of my Late Show collection hasn't yet been digitized.
