    Great video and my last time i went to Walt Disney world was in 1999.and it was better in the 1980s and early 1990s when it was affordable and not as big.i did one time go to Disneyland in 1993 with my Mom and One day adult ticket was 39.00

      I agree. Back in the 80's and 90's, it was still a dream vacation for many, but also much more affordable--and innocently charming.

    So sorry to hear that a company that’s made its name spreading joy, love, and tolerance isn’t hateful and intolerant enough for you anymore.

    I respect you my sister, for having the guts to stand for what you believe. You prayed on this ,you talked to God about this .you walked on this ,to come to the conclusion, that you have came to today .I wholeheartedly stand behind you doing what you feel is right .No one should judge you for the stance that you have taken, this is your decision .you have a right to delegate on what you feel is right and wrong, so I stand behind you 100%, and, I am not here to judge you my sister. And My philosophy and concern is you have to stand for something or you will fall for anything. you decided to stand!

    I agree. Disney is making it harder and harder for Disney fans (I'm a young fan since 2017) to support this company. For me it all started with the retheming of Splash Mountain. If Song of the South was such an awful, awful movie, then why did it get put in the parks 30+ years ago and just 1 year ago (while the whole george floyd thing was going on and blm was having their way) did Disney "decide" Splash Mountain had to be rethemed because of the movie it was themed after? Oh, and then Disney Panders to the Black community and is theming it to a black Princess. Now comes the "Don't Say Gay" bill (which it does not say in the bill). The one thing in his troubled career with Disney Chapek did that I Stood with him on is he publicly did not take a stand on this subject. How could a company that claims to be "family friendly" be ok with small children having their minds filled with any kind of sexual orientation at such a vulnerable age. I'm taking a "wait and see" stance right now, did Chapek cave to cancel culture? We'll have to wait and see.

      While I found it difficult to let go of Brer Fox, Brer Bear and Brer Rabbit, I think the Tiana re-image will be nice. It's sweeping history under a rug that I find strange.

    Thank you for your work in educating people. You are 100% correct. I visited Disney World when it first opened. It wasn’t even completed yet. But some friends who went to work there right at the beginning hinted that it wasn’t what it appeared to be. We must protect our children from the predators.

    Thank you. I never was a particular Disney fan before, but as the mother of two gay kids, I feel the urge to take my entire family there and half our great state! Criminalizing parents who support and love their children is beyond horrible to me. Go Disney.
    Oh and you might want to say good-bye to the Catholic Church, too, after you hear the kind words Pope Francis has directed toward members of the LGBTQ community.
    All that being said, I am so very sorry for the loss in your relationship with your partner. I truly do wish you love -and a wee bit more compassion.

    • @PJoanGavigan
      @PJoanGavigan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oops - you were comparing this to losing your relationship - my bad. Glad to know that hasn't happened.

    • @SusanCatherine

      There is nothing in the Florida Law that criminalizes parents who support and love their children. Florida’s HB 1557, legislation states “classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.” The word “gay” is not mentioned in the legislation, though “parent” is mentioned 32 times.
      Disney is dedicating their company to removal of a bill that has been put into place for the health and well-being of young children. What was most disturbing in Disney’s message was no mention of children. They have decided our parental rights and concerns are secondary and that six-year-olds should be exposed to whatever sexual discussion a teacher wants to have.
      I’m not sure what this has to do with my level of compassion. As I said in my video, I’m not anti-L, G, B, T, Q… It’s a stretch to pin me as anti-gay just because I support this law.
      We’re getting married this summer and have selected a retired priest to officiate (he has an interesting background). I didn’t grill him as to exactly why he retired, but surmise it may have had to do with his voting no on Prop 8 in CA. This would not be the action of an anti-gay person.

    • @PJoanGavigan
      @PJoanGavigan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SusanCatherine am truly relieved that you are not anti LGBTQ and happily stand corrected on that score, but I do believe that was legislation designed to have a chilling effect on the health and safety of LGBTQ children and families with virtually little effect on cis-gender and straight ones- legislation for a non-problem- sex ed isn’t started K-3 anyway. I stand with Disney and thank God I live in Maryland.

    I grew up watching the Disney Classics. My family looks forward to our Disney vacations where we felt it was the most magical place on Earth. This past year, my wife and I looked at each other and noticed the magic was gone. This was before we were exposed to the wokeness agenda. We canceled out Disney plus and will not be going back to Disneyworld. We believed Disneyworld was more than just a park, not anymore, the magic is gone. We must protect our children just like Walt would want.

    I live in Texas but this Florida bill was a good one that did not discriminate. I have 3 kids and we never hid the real world from them but did try to present it to them in ways they could understand as they matured. Florida drew a reasonable line for these sexual orientation discussions. Fight to move the line if you choose but don't eliminate. Too many stupid people out there wanting to push an agenda more than finding a right time to introduce topics to our children. Supporting LGBT+ etc.. for hiring is Disney business or which sex acts are allowed in the parks but they should have stayed out of this one.

    Clicked ur link in the comments over at C&C. There's some theories out there about Walt Disney's involvement in the occult. If there's any truth to that, then the disney of today wouldn't be surprising.

      There have been so many things said of Walt over the years, I don't think we'll ever know. I recall reading something many years ago when Hollywood folks were being grilled about their affiliation with the communist party --as were Lucille Ball, Frank Sinatra, et al that he was being pinned as a communist. I never read anything about him being in the occult.

    Who cares where you've been. According to you, money down the drain. Since you are leaving Disney, does that mean you are going to find a support group of others like yourself who were big fans so you can brag amongst yourselves (like disney fans do) about your endless trips and memberships of the past? Please. Just move on. Disney will too. Without you. BTW, they will live long, and prosper. Hope you do too. Perhaps you'll go to a real foreign country, instead of those silly pavillions around epcot.

    I appreciate you standing by your convictions. As a previous Disney fan of nearly 40 years, I went to WDW nearly every year from 1980 through 2019. In addition to their political nonsense, the resort has declined in quality while continuing to raise prices.

      I completely agree Joseph. There doesn't seem to be respect for sight-lines in new construction thus the stories and immersion we previously experienced have been cheapened.

    • @josephbrown9685

      @@SusanCatherine It’s so nice to hear someone talk about sight lines. It’s never been perfect, but Disney used to take great care in maintaining the immersion as much as possible. It’s a shame how thoughtless they’ve become about what made them special.
