My wife’s family is almost totally JW. Because she was disfellowshipped in the late 1970s, because she wouldn’t dump her non-JW boyfriend (Me), it caused us to start researching the religion. So, for the the last four decades, after learning and confirming their long history of false prophecies, doctrinal errors, deceptions and flip flops, we continuously have been on the outside looking in. It’s difficult knowing the facts about this religion while knowing thousands are still being brought in and led astray, and wasting their lives serving a group of men in New York. But it’s wonderful seeing people like you finding your way out and warning others. Keep up the great work!

Congrats on your engagement, real talk, been married 20 years, I finally married my childhood sweetheart, we grew up in the organization, long story short, I left, she winded up in the shelter, I'm clean and sober 17 years, now I came back to the organization, took her out of the shelter, we been married ever since, we woke up together, and now exjws. My advice to you is to keep christ in your lives, and don't forget we all are imperfect and fall short of the glory of God, love your neighbor as yourself and God with your whole heart and soul and mind, and your wife is your closest neighbor, vice-versa, remember there is no perfect wife or husband, and keep putting up with each other's imperfections. Great video.

Same here. I'd heard about the book "Crisis Of Conscience" by Ray Franz as a JW (I am/was 4th generation JW). After several very serious events within the cong. and organization that made me begin to question the WT, I ordered the book. I wanted to know what Ray knew. When it arrived in the mail, my hands were shaking. Then I realized how foolish that was. I was only interested in truth, so what's the big deal? If the book wasn't presenting truth, I could just throw it away. If it was truth, then I needed to read it and reevaluate things.
This is the irrational fear WT indoctrinates JWs with and which keeps them enslaved. A JW is conditioned to believe that any viewpoints that deviate from WT messaging MUST, by nature, be evil (Satanic), so the JW stops the process of critically thinking before it even gets started. Reading that book was the best thing I ever did.

When I was a kid, I noticed there were NEVER Black people in any of the illustrations in the books. In my 8 year old mind, if we're not in these books, are we are not in paradise? Love you guys videos. Shout out I’m a registered nurse too. I woke up last year. My husband is still pimi. I told him all about the research I found. All the court cases, the UN membership, ect… but unfortunately he decided to shut his brain off. He makes excuses for the organization saying they not perfect bla bla. And that they still do good stuff and that the good outweighs the bad. We have 2 kids toddlers. A 2 and a 4 year old. So it’s been hard. I’m scared that he will never wake up. He’s not a hardcore witness or anything and has no title. But it’s still hard hard and very lonely. I celebrate my birthday and the kids birthdays alone. He used to be my best friend but now there’s just so much I can’t talk to him about 😢. So I’m still grieving that our marriage changed. I have faded and am inactive. It was easy to fade since we bought a house during covid and moved to a new state. So new congregation. They do not know me. Anyways i just wanted to vent.

I'm in the middle of this type of thing as well. I've been attending meetings for about 6 months with my girlfriend who is in their bible school but not baptized as of yet. Many of these videos have helped me to stay the course and stick to my beliefs systems and not be duped. Many super real things said here and I'm glad to have a clear mind and will slowly be able to help the others at the Kingdom Hall the real truth. I am a Christian after being atheist for my first 35 years, so I've gotten to where I'm at spiritually through God's grace alone. Certainly not a man or group of men who don't even know my spiritual journey. I've spoken to several elders in a similar way that was described here, in an informal, kind of nonchalant way and it seems to have at least created a few cracks in the sidewalk so to speak. I am a patient man and it's all in God's timing never my own. I appreciate you guys 🙏

"Beth Sarim (Hebrew בית שרים "House of the Princes") is a ten-bedroom mansion in San Diego, California, constructed in 1929 in anticipation of various resurrected Old Testament biblical patriarchs or prophets such as Abraham, Moses, David, Isaiah and Samuel. It was maintained by the Watch Tower Society, the parent organization used by Jehovah's Witnesses, and was also used as a winter home and executive office for Watch Tower president Joseph Franklin Rutherford. The house was sold to a private owner in 1948." -- Wikipedia

And he added that someone being proud of their Africaness was nationalism . Being one of the only black people there and the only africany in the congregation I felt thoroughly disrespected and targeted because it felt very aimed at me because I was very confident about who I was and how much of my identity was formed from growing up there. @@AwakenTruths There was a beautiful woman on here recently that is an atheist; she almost cried in one of her videos about being lonely and asked people to come check her out on Instagram. I went there and asked her to be my online friend at least; she told me to get lost. That was the most painful rejection I have had in over a decade because finding an atheist black woman is almost impossible. I have been sad and crying about it all week; I don't know why she couldn't find it in her heart to talk to me and be my friend. That would have meant a lot to me.

Your stories are genuinely relatable and brings me comfort that I'm not alone. My awakening experience was exactly like going through the 7 stages of grief (shock, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, testing and acceptance). The love of worshipping the heavenly father above (God) kept me believing in jws but the ridiculous rules had me questioning their teachings all the time. Over the years, I have now finally reached the stage of acceptance that jws is a cult. Even though I am free, I hope family and friends who are still jws can be awaken too in their own time but soon. Mic drop when you said “there is no such thing as a critically thinking JW”……So very true!! Critical thinking is self guided & self discipline thinking that requires listening, evaluating, analyzing, studying, & applying information on different beliefs/values/thoughts/etc and then drawing a reasonable conclusion or analysis about it in a fair and intellectual way. It requires being open minded and JWs are taught and programmed not to be open minded and I used to be one of them.

The best way to wake up a loved one and help them leave with dignity, is to show them this very unique end time prophecy that has always been in every Christians bible:
    .
    Isaiah 66:5
HEAR THE WORD OF JEHOVAH, YOU men who are trembling at his word: “YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame.”
    .
[Name of person] is no longer one of JEHOVAH's Witnesses ---->> "excluding YOU by reason of MY NAME"
    .
What Jehovah said would happen at the time of the end, is really happening!
    .
    So who is right?
    .
Nine men who live in New York?
    .
    Or
    .
    Jehovah?
    .
    .
Do you see why a Jehovah's Witness can leave with dignity?
    .
If anyone, including elders, try to contend with you, simply ask them why THEY don't believe Jehovah?
    .
    .

Helping a person to wake up from that Organisation. Is not an easy thing at all. It takes a person with a very open mind. A person that is willing to listen and willing to put the WT aside for a moment and really starts to think for her or himself. We all know most of them are not willing or even able to do that. Their minds are train to accept whatever the WT puts in front of them. I was trying to get one to wake up. I gave up because it was like, trying to drain the ocean. Its not an impossible thing to do. “More than 30 years before October 1914, anointed Christians began preaching that God’s Kingdom would begin to rule on that important date. Their understanding was based on Daniel’s prophecy about a large tree that was cut down and would grow again after a period of time. (Daniel 4:16) Jesus described a sign that would help his disciples know that he had become King and that the last days had begun. World events since 1914 clearly prove that Jesus is King. (Matthew 24:3, 7, 14; Luke 21:24) Today, “the magnificent things of God” that we preach about include the fact that Jehovah made Jesus King of the Kingdom in 1914. I don't know of any JW who actually believes in this double and superimposed generation taught by the Watchtower since 2008. The JW are so dependent on the Watchtower society that they are willing to distort the words of Jesus to continue following the Watchtower in his ramblings interpretative, this is how they dared to twist the words of Jesus to artificially lengthen the generation of 1914 which no longer exists today.
Most JWs I know are ashamed of this teaching and do not dare to teach it to others.
You have to be under the influence of the Watchtower not to see the deception surrounding this unbiblical “double generation”. Fortunately, this absurdity which shames reason and common sense allows more and more JWs to wake up.

That period of time beginning 1575 before A.D. 1 of necessity would end in the fall of the year 1925, at which time the type ends and the great antitype must begin. What, then, should we expect to take place? The chief thing to be restored is the human race to life; and since other Scriptures definitely fix the fact that there will be a resurrection of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and other faithful ones of old, and that these will have the first favour, we may expect 1925 to witness the return of these faithful men of Israel from the condition of death , being resurrected and fully restored to perfect humanity and made the visible, legal representatives of the new order of things on earth.” Millions Now Living Will Never Die p.88

From studying the doctrine of the witnesses for the last four years the overall impression I get is they just work so hard at being totally different than what they call Christendom. Anything that they can do to pick apart what we believe they will do whether it makes sense or not and none of their belief makes sense. Some good books to read and get head knowledge on is: how to witness to a Jehovah Witness and Kingdom of the cults, they are time tested.
One thing I really enjoy about studying their doctrine is that you really get to know our bible as opposed to their belief system, it really forces you into learning the bible . This helps with anyone that you want to witness to and makes you rock solid to believe what the Lord promises us so we can do what Paul says to do which is defend the faith and be ready to tell people our hope in Christ.

That’s the closest example of what’s you mentioned.

    • @MonicaRaseroka
      @MonicaRaseroka 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

You're not imagining this. The Jehovah’s Witnesses organisation as a whole is racist and depends on it to grow its reach.
They have racist articles on the website about why black people smell, calling Africans negroes and backward. Just search this on their website. They even have articles about how they established branches during apartheid South Africa.
Why do I say they depend on it to grow? Racism/colonialism keeps people of colour oppressed, leading to people suffering and resorting to religion as a means of escape. That's why JW is branching out in Africa. There's money to be made.
In 2014/2015 the organisation realised that congregations are still segregated. They developed and executed a programme where congregations would swap and attend meetings, go to field service and gather together to get to know each other to overcome racial divides
We were paired with an Afrikaans congregation (I was from a Sotho and all-black congregation in a rural area). For those that know SA, Afrikaans white people are the most racist and entitled people you will ever meet.
This programme was supposed to run for a few months. Well, it only went on for 2 weeks. The white Afrikaans congregation said that they had to halt the programme because they were so 'busy' right now.
There were white people who outright ignored us and wouldn't greet/shake hands with us when we visited their congregation 😂. That's when I started realising that something was very off here.
But don't let this put you off from visiting SA (for those reading this from outside SA). The rest of the country is so beautiful and we are so friendly ❤

You will be labeled apostate and that’s one thing an X can ever really come back from right? Have you mentally and emotionally prepared for that? If so how? Maybe you can do a video about that. Because no matter how much emotional and mental prepping one does I believe there still will still be the unexpected overwhelming feelings that are going to flood back that are going to be hard to deal with. And some people’s ( closer to heart) reactions. Can you ever really fully prepare?

I don’t think you can every FULLY prepare for anything. It’s really just something you can try your best at. But we are well aware of the risk we have taken and what comes along with it. We do these videos for a reason. People need to hear about the religion and need to understand that there is life after a cult. The way we have prepared is by constantly staying in perspective of reality. We are all in control of how we handle things. We don’t give the org power to take the happiness away from our lives. A thing will only have power over you if you allow it to. The organization is not our lives 🤷🏽‍♀️ and whoever is not okay with that is not our problem, it is theirs

btw: That elder answered your question wrong, although it's one that the society has taught them to be aware of. When you asked, "Why can't JWs take blood", you mentioned that the elder particularly highlighted the safety aspect of not taking blood transfusions. Well, the WTS has printed a number of times it's NOT the primary or scriptural reason why JWs don't take blood. The WTS has said it's because of the sanctity of life and that life is in the blood. Although, they have confused JWs by loving to say, as a side point, blood has many diseases in it. Of course, these days, because of testing, blood is safer than ever! So many elders just go for the low hanging fruit when answering questions and they don't keep up with science and the news.

Honey if you decided to not do the door to door thing, how long do you think you would last in this corporation? Be honest with yourself for once a J.W doesn't go house to house because they want to, they're forced to. Everything is about manipulation. You talk about how people shouldn't slander but what do you all do all day long talking about Christendom. What about not having any compunction about telling someone you don't even know that their loved one isn't in heaven? What kind of crap is that as if that's any of your business but you're going to make it your business right? If i talk to J.W's on the trail near our house some are fairly nice but some have pride slathered all over their faces.

Some experts believe the Khoi and san people in Africa are the original people and some believe Botswana is where the garden of Eden located. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but that’s the theory.
