Harvey is an overlooked character that deserves more love. I also love his Scottish accent in CGI, especially since Gone Fishing is my favorite of him.
I often seen that Harvey tends to get forgotten by most of the fandom, mostly because he apparently isn’t as memorable as Salty or Elizabeth. But I do think that isn’t a great way of viewing Harvey. He isn’t supposed to be in the foreground all the time, but instead, he helps keep the railway running by cleaning up the engines messes and accidents but also giving good advice to the others (similar to Edward). And there is pretty of things about Harvey untouched by fans, like how in his character card (and The Thomas Bible), it says that his favorite place is the Sodor Water Works. It is NEVER touched on in any episodes or fan stories (as far as I know), but I imagine that the water works provides plenty of water to part of the island. This could mean that he is also helping the island too. This is a great video about Harvey! And the Thumbnail is great too!
A perfect insight on Harvey!! And saying that Harvey lifts you back on track and your spirits up couldn't be more true. Harvey definitely sticks out from the other gullane era newbies not only in looks but in personality too, as he's the type that will better your day and listen to your problems but still be self conscious and have his own troubles, he's very wholesome, and i legit love his friendship with Thomas. Amazing video on a really amazing character, great work as always my friend❤
It's nice to see a video dedicated to Harvey, I can't believe he had a character arc of his own in the series, CGI I think did a better job with Harvey, having dealing with his own struggles and that and learning his worth and what is has to be done overtime, I love his parings with Samson and Daisy, making Harvey be paired with one of a kind engines themselves was such good fun and A Most Singular Engine took that to its advantage, Brilliant video, I look forward to seen you tackle any other characters
Wow. That is quite a retrospective on Harvey. I like his character a lot, especially in CGI. Very consistent all the way from model to CGI. You are so good at this. I'm looking forward to more videos like these in future. Well done.
I’ve always liked Harvey, I remember when I first saw him, I thought he looked very unique and memorable. Thx u! I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed Edward insulting Harvey was way out of character for him, I remember being caught off guard when Edward did that and that was back when I was little. I mean it definitely started with how Edward was portrayed by the writers but not in a good way. Clearly they wanted just Thomas to be the main moral character, but I feel like personally Edward and Thomas both would’ve worked well in the episode as mentors to Harvey in a way :)
A Very Nice & Great On Harvey The Crane Engine that He Deserve Some More Spotlight Harvey is One of My Favorite Overlook & Unique Character I like both in Model Era and CGI Series One thing about that I like seeing Harvey & Salty Together in season 6 & 7 also CGI Series Too
This episode made me appreciate "Gone Fishing" more. While it's not spectacular, it has two things I like: 1) In a mostly episodic season, it has a bit of continuity with Harvey meeting Porter for the first time because Porter is new. 2) Bill and Ben being mean actually has a payoff.
To me in my Sodor Railway fan-series Harvey is our railway maintence, and rescue engine(Similar to how mickey is in Stories of sodor, I even see Victor replacing him with Harvey in his absence), when the lines are too damage he has the authority to close that line down till its repair, and can inspect an engine how much damage is taken and drives them to the works, and the insurance will ask him. He's not hateful in anyway, but not afriad to be blunt especially from all the engines he's seen with split boilers, and dry crowns from not keeping water. He's the friend to all and can have a conversation with anyone.
I admit I can relate to Harvey at some level (though I ain’t a fatty like him with his huge rounded face) Edward and Percy talking badly about Harvey was out of character for them (though they must’ve surely done it out of peer pressure from the mainline trio), and I would’ve had Thomas instead be rude about him (saying “He doesn’t even look like an engine” and then after “He’s not taking Annie and Clarabel”) with Gordon James and Henry while either one of the former two could’ve had Thomas’ role of reassuring Harvey it can sometimes take time to make new friends. I can also imagine Harvey would work as shunting at Knapford early on since he can’t do just help put engines back on the Mainline or help with track maintenance all the time.
Something I don’t understand about All Engines Go!; Why is Carly a crane engine when, in the original series, she was a gantry crane at Brendam Docks? If they wanted a crane engine in the main cast, why couldn’t they had just used Harvey instead?
Shall we report this to NWR1991 to make a episode of this idea? What do you think? Just imagine, Harvey gets the job to pull rocky on a regular basis and Sir toppham won't have to assign other engines to pull rocky anymore and, what if judy and Jerome joins too and belle can pull them?

Harvey’s probably the most overlooked engine from the later classic era, and he also look pretty cool.
Oh I just adore these thumbnails! SO GOOD! I can only imagine how long it takes to make one

Yes! We are *SO* back! It’s been a long while but this looks like it’s gonna be amazing!

Its always great to see a video from you. This video gave me an even stronger appreciation for a character who I already had a soft spot for.
Great video 👍🏻
Thanks for introducing Harvey!

22:00 you can find Harvey just, standing there without looking at Thomas
Your days are numbered...

They're just teasing but never mean.

I like Harvey even more after this video (except for Stuck In Gear)! I'd like to see Bachmann make a model of him! I'd definitely get him!
Can we agree that the fact Harvey and Rocky never interacted once is a crime
*100%*
great work
Here's my 10th favorite character in the series

This is a very interesting video...
GREAT VIDEO ABOUT A GREAT CHARACTER YAAY!!!
After 7 months his back
I really don't care about all engines go but I'm glad that you enjoyed the show or not
I’m still iffy on the show as a whole but there are still some good aspects about it that shouldn’t go unnoticed.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS FINALLY MORE HARVEY REP
Trick statement, he's the only crane engine
Let me check-mate you with AEG Carly
Trick statement, he's the only crane engine with braincells
What the hell did I just wonder into.
Hi love Thomas!

I dead ass go over this in the video 😭
I wonder what if,Harvey joins the Sodor search and rescue team to pull Rocky when needed for heavy weight lifting?
That’s something that’s always confused by when I was younger and I always wanted to see Harvey and Rocky work together
@@bethmotgomery2662 yes absolutely
Here’s a quick question, if Harvey can rerail his accidents, does his crew still have to take a pee test?
22:53
Just paint Harvey a brighter red then Mattel, if they also wanted gender equality, they should have made Bruno Female
THE THUMBNAIL IS AMAZING,YOU COOKED!
Can’t argue with that
@Avery_Productions His thumbnails are good even better than the unlucky tug,I like tugs content but his thumbnails didn't awalys slide with me.
when the q&a?
@@BLUEMOUNTEN22 It’s .. on the channel.
Wow
10:30 so he can lift engines, truck and coaches, but he can’t lift more then one pipe?
what are those pipes made of?!
Galvanized Steel
Can I just say I ship Harvey and Carly for fun
One is a child and one is an adult so no unless you mean CGI Carly.
@@asodorlife I though sandy was the child but sure cgi
