    Try heat wrapping the DPF and use diesel additives specific for DPF.
    Hope that helps…

    Quite informative. Guess I should be expecting this in the near future as my car has been in park for almost two months now due to elections. And i too just idle the car for 15 mins every 15 days. Got a check engine light, but after driving for a few kms, it did go away. I guess with so much electronics in these cars nowadays, it just gives me jitters. Miss those days when battery drainage was the only thing you needed to be worried about when stored for a prolonged period of time. By the way, when are you planning to change the tyre sensor? Please don't tell me it's not available. Otherwise that's going to be the next thing on my worry list.

      Hey Debasis! Tyre sensor was changed in 20,000km service. Since it was parked for so long, the tyre pressure had dropped. It's never given me any kind of worry after the change. Hopefully it wont give up on me anytime soon. Absolutely agree with you on the simpler times.🙂

    I just completed a 1500 km drive yesterday. Today I gave it for wash and after wash when I started the engine, dpf clogged and regen required message started coming. I suspect water might have entered the dpf is it possible

      I highly doubt that. Did you idle a lot in the drive? Idling for long is one of the major reasons in my experience, other being poor/adulterated diesel apart from the usual slow, short city commutes.

      @@mukulslens no idling. I drove consistently at 80 . Diesel quality I am not sure though as I refilled on highway

      Maybe nothing to worry since BS6 diesels will always have to deal with these things..

      @@mukulslens so I tried to regenerate, initially it failed with message regeneration aborted, then I revved the engine myself for few minutes and then re-attempted regeneration. This time it worked and thankfully it's working fine for last 5 days.

    Hey Mukul.. Can you please make a video on how to disable the seat belt alert for the passenger seat in Scorpio N?

      Hey! That's something I do not recommend. It's a safety feature. Make sure to buckle up everytime.🙂

    In two wheel drive mode We can use 4high?

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Using 4H will switch from 2WD to 4WD automatically. 🙂

    ive about 1200 kms monthly travelling, i want to buy the diesel scorpio n, though i only travel about 1200 kms, its only 200km+ trips without major city runs, so the car will be kept unused between the trips, will the dpf clog if i dont use the car in traffic and city much except on the trips?

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      DPF clogging is inevitable in most BS6 diesel engines. Even if you run for 100-200km on highways at 80+ kmph that's sufficient to clear out the soot on regular basis. I don't think there should be much of a problem in your case in my opinion. 🙂
