possible spoiler: if i read the right comic just before val blasts angel with a angelic 45c husk swoops down and saves angel with both them getting shot at as husk fly's off with Angel. if this make it to the show i think it will cement the husker dust ship.

When I watched the episode, yes the scene made me a bit uncomfortable, it's supposed to. But it's nowhere near as bad as what people were complaining about with the leaks. Context really does matter.

I saw many people who have survives SA say that they actually find the scene comfroting and quite well presenting. It is not exploititive nor is it fetishizing abuse, not to mention that Angel's experience was inspired by Viv's own so....

The controversy was mostly on the main animator/storyboard for the scene/song having a known non-con/r*pe k*nk (of who the first leak of the song came) Vizzi responding with "so hot" (not the exact words) and then when survivors of sa called out his participation and response she chose to double down. When a fan and sa survivor directly confronted her she minimised their experience and worry. This topic can be handled better with more respect for the victim in and outside the show, showing hypersexuality as an (unhealthy) coping mechanisms WITHOUT indulging in it and being sure it handling doesn't goes to open fetishist of sa, the material isn't exploited for merchandise, etc. The depiction of sexual violence itself wasn't the only topic being discussed by survivors . Yall really pathetic telling barely half of the story.

This show and Helluva Boss are for adults and will cover topics/themes that aren't "safe". I find it ridiculous that people are already complaining about the content since the world doesn't revolve around anyone, especially you. If you don't like the topics, then don't watch it.
No one complained that Moxxie's grew up in the mafia and his dad killed his mom. Or when Fizz was being abused and exploited by Mammon (especially sexual exploitation). This is a *reality* for tons of people and it shouldn't be censored because some people don't like them.
I think the thing that is causing the controversy is that it’s sexual abuse, which is much harder to portray with respect and care, and it can easily be portrayed poorly, since it is such a heavy topic. Especially for a lot of people who have dealt with and are still dealing with similar abuse.

i think the themes of the episode are very effective and puts poison in a horrifying context, but there should have been a content warning at the beginning considering the context of the show beforehand was so light in comparrison

This episodes just make me realize why I love Angel has a character so much. He is so complex and has a lot of emotions, to he holds on. That a lot of his behavior is because of a possible chance to escape Valentino is so sad...😢 But I love the growing relationship between Husk and Angel. Kind of Soulmates. ❤ Also Husk being a former Overlord was a huge surprise!

@@year7high711 I didn’t say he’s a bad character but he’s not some compelling complex character and certainly not unique. He might even be the best written one simply because much more talented writers have written his story before, so long as Viv follows the lines he’ll be just fine. My criticism about Viv as a showrunner still stands though. Oversimplification? The character is as shallow as your local inflatable pool and just fragile. Please tell me what I’m missing.
First off, I hate how people keep calling this episode "controversial". Someone being abused the way Angel does extremely common, whether sex workers or housewives, the series at no point shows the relationship as a positive, they show the highs of the drugs and the lows of the abuse, and overall paints a picture of a person suffering while clinging to the few "positive" things that are still there, but at the same time, wanting a way out and being afraid or powerless to leave. This isn't "controversial", this is the kind of thing that deserves to be shown.
Another thing that was pointed out in this episode specifically was how people with power who disapprove of this kind of situation claim to be against it, but don't do anything to change it or do it the wrong way. How? Well, Vaggie pointing out that Charlie could use her authority to do something, because she is the fucking princess of Hell. Sure, in the show it's shown as Charlie being nice and not wanting to be mean to others, but I think this links to what I think will be Charlie's arc of learning that being nice in excess is not good, especially if you're not being more active.
We know how many celebrities and even political figures speak against X, Y and Z things that are bad, but when it comes to do something to help, they donate to charity or just try to speak for an unprivileged group they're not a part of and that ends up not being as helpful as it could be, and Charlie is sorta like that, making things worse by invading Valentino's set. I think Charlie will eventually learn to actually command some authority, either by breaking contracts (which I assume she has the power of doing) or just do the fun thing of using the potential angelical powers she got from her father to obliterate Valentino.

There’s something to be said with victims of trauma ‘owning’ it to feel in control - Angel ‘owns’ his status as a sex icon, makes out like he’s loving the high life.

I think people don't get Poison, They say if glorifies abuse but I take it as a song about the people in abusive relationships that stay in them even though they know they're abusive. Cause some people just don't know how to or want to break up
The biggest issue with poison is someone who worked on it. Vivzi hired someone who enjoys rape-play and often has desires of wanting to rape people. That's the issue. She hired someone to work on the video who enjoys this and has stated they would want to do it to people. That's the issue.

It reflects how victims of abuse will choose to stay because they see red flags through a rose tinted glass. But there are also victims who clearly see the red flags and want to leave but there are circumstances that make it impossible
PCP, AKA Angel Dust: ‘A moderate amount of PCP often causes users to feel detached, distant and estranged from their surroundings’.
In other words, Angels favourite drug is one that makes him dissociate and numb, unable to feel the pain.
As a SA victim myself hearing anything about the situation with valentino and angeldust is a very touchy subject for me, as angeldust represents a lot of what comes with that kind of trauma, and does it well. Your analysis of the episode really puts comfort on being able to watch it, having already heard explanations, and not leaving room to wonder more. Thank you.

I’m just going to say. In my opinion… Masquerade is the best episode currently by far! Mostly because it’s the first one to explore these topics and interesting stories with the first three episodes still being good but feeling more like character introductions. Also Poison and Loser, Baby are probably my favourite songs of the show so far

It's probably why they chose to release the first four at once. Masquerade is SO much stronger than 1-3, which were good but a little confusing for new viewers. This is what's going to entice viewers to stick around.
Keep in mind this is the only episode so far labeled as 18+. The rest of 16+. So dont complain when u literally have a warning guys

Thank you!! I’ve been wondering about that! It’s obvious that Angel cares for the group he got himself at the hotel. He won’t admit but he definitely views them as family to an extent. He definitely feels caring for Charlie especially she’s the one she gave hope into him. It’s just trying to break from Val is important:/ even his actions at the hotel says he finds it as his safe place when Sir Pretentious failed being a spy.

It's okay if the scene makes you uncomfortable. It's a disturbing topic, and that's what the disclaimer is there for. I think in the context of the video, it doesn't at all glorify what Angel is going through, and as upsetting as this can be, it is the reality for a lot of people, and I think it's an important discussion to have. It explores very important consent issues, like the fact that you can say yes, and still not truly be consenting because of a power dynamic that is being taken advantage of. I understand that people are upset with an animator having a non-consent fetish, but idk, it's kind of a weird take that someone should vet their employee's fetishes. I also don't personally think there is anything wrong with the fantasy of said fetishes, as long as there is consent involved. The minute you cross that boundary, it's a huge deal of course. But I really just don't think that particular take in the controversy has much of a leg to stand on. This was always going to be the story, regardless of who was animating it.
We saw just a glimpse of Charlie going full demon in that episode, and I have to assume that as Lucifer's daughter she's actually really powerful, just too kind hearted to really let it out. I hope so see more of that aspect of her, and I really hope she's able to save Angel in the end.
I have the feeling Husk and the gang at the hotel will be on Angel side through and through the toughest times with that evil prick Valentino.
I feel like also Alastor might end up actually be evil (kinda as a subverting the expectations) and the hotel tries to free Husl from the contract that keeps Alastor in control of Him
I find it crazy how this episode is controversial when legit people are going through this every day. it's only controversial because it brings reality to the things people would rather turn a blind eye too.

I think that the uncomfortable poison music sequence is amazing.
Not because it’s sexual or whatever, but because of just how absolutely disgusted I felt after watching that, since I rarely see scenes that are narratively supposed to disgust the viewer and actually succeed at it. Usually it just fails at making you uncomfortable and instead glorifies the disgusting uncomfortable garbage, but Poison nailed it.
Because of the controversy of the song poison, some people had to come out and speak out about it. An SA victim said that just because someone is a victim of an abuser, doesn't mean sex will always be non-con, sometimes the abuser will manipulate their victim to a point where they'll give consent willingly despite the real nature of the relationship. I think HH does an excellent job in portraying this other side of SA, one where the victim is actually hypersexual and will give consent willingly because of how deep the abuse goes. Many people will question and criticise SA victims if they aren't repulsed by sex or if they consented every now and then to the abuse they suffered. I hope more shows portray this consequence of SA as well.
As a victim of abuse, I can definitely say that sometimes you are put into positions where saying yes is your only option. Fear often overrides so much that I would do anything I had to just to keep my abusers at bay. I couldn't risk them getting angry or upset without consequence. It can make you feel like you have absolutely no control, and sometimes you don't. Hence why a lot of people, myself included, will turn to vices to at least provide some sense of something that can actually be controlled. It makes me feel horrible, yes, but I get to be in control of that pain, unlike everything else around me.

I said it before when I saw Addict and I'll say it again. Angel's story is a commentary of a real life tragedy that is often ignored: abuse in the adult industry. There is a stigma that people involved in this kind of work are asking to be treated this horribly. The Poison sequence is so hard to watch as its hammering the reality of how human these people are and that kind of situation is just horrific. Angel was my favorite character when I first saw the pilot and still is.
I think it's also interesting in that it reflects the p*rn industry and how consent in the extreme sado masochistic genre can be disregarded in the name of creating content. Not all industries, but definitely some feed on the dynamic of force, pain, and anguish.
I liked episode 4 and the way it tackled the subject matter of SA since stuff like this happens to sex workers especially when they have pimps. Having this discussion is very important and showing how uncomfortable it makes the viewer shows how awful a situation it is of victims of the same abuse. So the ppl calling out Viv are ridiculous the episode already had a warning about the subject matter that would take place during the episode since it was 18+ instead of 16+ like the other 3 episodes. I’m invested in Angel’s story about breaking away from Valentino and bettering himself.

I have a theory that Alastor has some sort of connection with Lilith’s disappearance, considering how she disappeared about seven years ago, and Vox claimed that Alastor was gone for the same amount of time. I don’t have a lot of evidence to support this theory, but I think the timing has to mean something of sorts. I have no clue what sort of tie ins it could have but I have a feeling the timing isn’t a coincidence.
As someone who is an SA survivor and has worked in the sex industry, I feel like Angel's character is an important form of representation in media.
Hypersexuality is rarely ever shown and the self-sexualization that results from that abuse is rarely ever seen or talked about.
BUT what frustrates me personally from all of this is how people who have an SA f*tish are getting a lot of shame and harassment. Many people such as myself who enjoy this type of roleplay, do not want or are inviting getting SAed and many use it as a way to gain power over a powerless situation. When you can go into it consensually and fall into that dynamic with trust it helps make the memories of that less horrible and helps to rebuild trust in others intimately.
But more than that I don't think people understand how complex the emotions of being SAed actually are. How you can mutually hate it and enjoy it while feeling shame for feeling BOTH.
I think it's so important to allow people to explore these feelings without shame, to have safe ways to talk about these feelings, and to explore them with trust and vulnerability. Through art, BDSM or though whatever other way works, shaming people for liking something just furthers abuse by silencing people and their own forms of self-exploration.
We all deserve to like and explore the dark parts of ourselves and have those parts loved unconditionally.
True. As someone who's watched BDSM stuff before, the animators really didn't hold back with the imagery because it made me go "hold on, this isn't right".
They did a good job by showing the difference of BDSM and abuse. If one doesn't enjoy it or doesn't enthusiastically consent to it, it's sexual abuse
The scenes were great and SHOULDN'T be shy'd away from. It's important to show shitty things, they aren't good, but are important to see. People are clutching their pearls at seeing more explicit content in A ADULT animated series. Content like this should be seen, and there is no fetishization.
I won't lie, this episode was REALLY hard to watch. But I think Angel handling this on his own, with Husk to talk to was a more effective outcome than simply Charlie bailing him out. And that duet they had at the end was very good!
Episode 4 made me feel everything angel was feeling and at the end of poison hearing him sound like he was gonna cry made me cry

I also liked how Angel even when he was getting assaulted told Valentino not to hurt “her” referring to Charlie Even though Charlie IS more powerful, just shows you who he really is. I love how you can see how BOTH care about one another
It's pretty weird, because Val literally doesn't blink. He doesn't make the slightest movement when Charlie faces him, as if he really has absolutely no respect for her. This makes me think that perhaps with the new focus of the series, Lucifer and his family do not have as much power as is supposedly implied and it is more of a formal/political power. Or Lucifer simply doesn't care what happens, differentiating himself from God in that. It gives them absolute freedom to massacre each other, or have heaven massacre them.
There's actually another EXTREMELY obvious way that could be the result of Val killing Angel when taking the "Angel trying to destroy himself" line into account, and it comes from episode 2, when Vox convinces Val not to go to the hotel, adding that they can just bring one of the lowest earners for him to shoot instead. Angel being worthless to Val means that he becomes the next lowest earner to shoot when Val's upset, and so there really is no way to escape unless they find a way to break that contract.
And, considering we know that Overlords can trade souls in games, perhaps this means we could see a challenge between Charlie or Allister against Val for the rights the souls of the other (in the case of Charlie, putting her OWN soul on the line). Either that or they simply get Charlie/Lucifer to use some authority/money to BUY the contract.
Angel Dust as a character personally means so much to me. Ive been in his place before and after years of garbage realized im aroace. The response to beung hurt doesn't always equal immediate avoidance and you can be avodiant and hyper at the same time. Healing isnt pretty. It can be ugly and beautiful and it's human. Dont let puritans make any of you feel dirty or used. You are so seen and cared for.

#1 don't sit there clutching your pearls like we haven't seen worse, you're just wanting a reason to attack the show and or Viv
#2 they gave a warning before every episode so they did their due diligence

I found the scene with angel and Val really sad and uncomfortable but it was so well written cause Val doesn't have a monstrous voice he sounds like a normal human which is scary but its so good
I hope there will be something like Fizzarolli's 'f you' moment from Angel to Val where he standing up for himself with help from his friends and get his soul back, or him outsmarting Val and breaking free idk
Ep 4 was really uncomfortable for me to watch, but i did it, and it's by far one of the best episodes so far! It also made me cry because i relate to angel in the form or being SAd at one point in my life, it was never as bad as angels but there was a few times where it almost got that bad. This episode made me feel like i could really emphasize and relate to angel in some way.
I also remember watching the poison mv and being like "wow this is really good" not really grasping what it was about until i watched ep4 and i almost cried once more context was given to it.

Angel decided to crash at Hazbin Hotel not for the free housing but because it truly is a safe place.
Can we talk really quick about how there's hints in this episode that Charlie is right about there being good in Angle? When trying to appease Valentino, Angel begs for Val to leave Charlie alone, saying "She gets involved.... Please don't hurt her." Angel, while terrified of Val, still begged for her well-being.
Angel sees Charlie as a friend, at least enough to put himself on the line to try to make sure Val doesn't hurt her too. It shows that while Charlie is naive and uneducated in how to help the sinners, she isbgood at picking out people who have good in them.
Calling it now Husk gambles for Angel's soul

I loved the scene when Valentino was just like "I'm not afraid of little miss goody two shoes" and Angel stepped in when Charlie was about to get mad. And I'm like, "Didn't you see her transform? Angel just saved YOUR butt, dude!"
I don't know if it's because the Overlords underestimate Lucifer, or they underestimate Charlie, but her naturally nice personality is the only thing holding her back. What might make her lose control is the death of someone she cares about...
in a way he also saved charlie in that scene. if the theory that she is powerful due to her bloodline then she probably could kill Val, but killing him would also haunt her. Charlie is a gentle soul and i think murdering anyone, even Val, would mess with her head.
I was in an abusive relationship, which I won't go into detail of, but people should not be angry at angel dust over how he deals with sa. I personally have different ways of coping, but I can understand why angel dust acts how he does and I actually cried during the 4th episode. Anyways, some critics need to understand this is a sensitive topic and that the majority of survivors who saw it think it was represented well.

Speaking of episode 4 could Charlie not Break contracts, we are told she's powerful but never see any of her powers used. Couldn't she do everything alastor is for the hotel and much more
If it were that easy then there wouldn't be any conflict, there have to be limits. I'm betting the world is structured in such a way that even Lucifer himself can't just go around breaking contracts.
I have a theory that Lucifer is not involved in anything that happens. In theory he is expelled from heaven for facing the tyranny of God, so it is most likely that he allows everything. Let sinners do what they want (unlike God, he does not go where he is not called).

Not only do I love shows like hazbin hotel and helluva boss for their chaotic and adult nature, but for the fact that they touch on very uncomfortable, disturbing, yet all too real/true situations that other shows are afraid to reference about
I was thinking that instead of foreshadowing Angel dying, the line "My story's gonna end with me dead from your poison" might have been Angel reflecting on how he died on Earth (believed to be a drug overdose). The line might represent him thinking, "I died in the real world because of a drug overdose. If I keep pursuing this addiction, even if I can't die here in hell from it, I will lose so much of myself in the process that I won't be 'alive' anymore." I think the intended meaning of the line refers to a figurative death rather than a literal one because the song is overall focused on how Angel's actions affect him mentally.
I hope Charlie can buy Angel's soul and give it back to him.

Quick question: how exactly do contracts work? It’s implied the contracted soul has to obey the one who owns them, but if that’s the case, why didn’t Valentino just force Angel to spy on the hotel in episode 2? I’m just a little confused.
Maybe his contract can only make angle do specified things, if it's anything he wants to the letter he'd have a run of the mill mindless slave, which is impossible to have run by itself or store knowledge of a craft, by having angle just perform 1 general service in his contract he can make a very pure craft of explicit material, which is what he's a specialist in directing, valentino hadn't the need before to spy so wouldn't put it in as he wouldn't care

It honestly should make people uncomfortable. It's addressing something horrifying and painting it to be less only does a disservice to victims by making it seem not as bad to the average person. I have been through some things where it wasn't forced and bullying but let's say the stress from the situation caused my periods to quit completely for months on.

The way I see it, it'll only go one of three ways ways; Angel dies, Valentino dies, or they BOTH die.
The 'poison' in the song Poison may also refer to the emotional abuse. The lies Valentino tells Angel Dust and the way that Angel is being changed and his willpower to fight back is whittled away

The happiest ending I see for Angel is them scamming, gambling for, or "trading" something for Angel's soul and him being owned by someone else potentially Alastor Charlie or Husk, maybe even a happy ending where a chain reaction amongst the main cast has Alastor do a kind thing and let Husk go and have his power fully back, and Him winning or bargaining for Angel's soul and just, letting him go free because he's been there. That's about the only positive way out I see for him though a transfer of his soul to someone who treats him better like Charlie or Husk, or even Alastor if he comes to genuinely care for the others by the end just being like " you're already here basically doing what I want you to anyway so find a way to actually help us out around here and aside of that do whatever I guess" really depends on how the story goes I guess I hope we are able to get a happy ending for Angel anyway

For me, I knew that this would touch something like this and I had to act calm. The thing that caught me off guard was the slap. I felt so scared for Angel and wanted to run and shield him from the hurt and paint Valentino did to him. Yes, the episode made me feel uncomfortable, but I know that people went through all that pain. For those who survived such trauma, you're amazing people and don't stop living and thriving. You're loved and cared by people who are right by your side. Husk, in the final part of the episode, feels like a support line for Angel since he was acting empathetic in Loser, Baby, and he wants him to know that he'll be there to understand what's going on. Angel isn't alone, and I'm cheering for him to thrive and survive. I hope he can make it because he went through so much pain.
I highly doubt Angel is gonna die. Mainly because if that happened, bad things would unfortunately happen in real life. By crazy fans.

Maybe we've become so used to bad story structure in animated shows, we're now too quick to judge when we see something that's actually good? All I know is that I really enjoyed Husk and Angel's shared song in Episode 4. Super catchy! 😻
I think that Angel will get out of his contract. During Angel's and Husker's song, we see them bound up. Husker's bond is tight and even with no hope of escape, as is expected with a deal with Alastor. Angel's bond is more haphazard, possibly suggesting that his contract with Val is not as airtight as we are led to believe.
In a lot of media, especially the more surface/well known stuff, s 3x workers end up dying. Their story is often a tragedy, showing their abuse and usually ending with death. Not in finding ways to cope, to be themselves, to control their own life again... sad stories with bad endings. And it's a negative trope.
I really, really, _really_ hope that Angeldust doesn't die. I'm never expecting a happy raindows and unicorns ending in this show, heck with what's been established even with the most positive outcome Angeldust is already terribly traumatized. But I just hope he lives, and has an okay ending.

13:20 - I don't think possessing a soul grants you the power to summon the original soul's owner, it seems like it's Alastor Vodoo. If Valentino had that power, the messages between him and Angel, trying to convince him to come to the studio, or simply Angel having the need to walk there after the phone call, would make no sense.
Dude, episode 4 is the best episode of the series. Yes, it’s uncomfortable, that’s the point. Skip it if you don’t wanna see it, but there are some people who love it and it makes them feel seen, etc. Episode 4 is arguably the best episode.
It’s so disgusting that people online wherever you go still make excuses on how Valentino is not so bad or basically “simp” for him, brushing off his immoral actions and causes. Some even “ship” this toxic relationship (not romantic mind you) and make fanart or content about it. Someone even on pinterest wrote “my fav r❤️” on a fanart of him. That’s so off and these people don’t know the pain such individuals go through in real life, or now in the show to represent those realities of highs and lows of drugs.
from what I understand a lot of those people HAVE been through something similar and through cartoon characters like Valentino they are able to more safely explore their trauma.

Through shipping these toxic relationships they try to relate to it and ofc that makes them feel seen at first which is a point of the show sometimes but after that they need appropriate understanding and support from outside. I suffer with an eating disorder and when i watched this episode it made me realise how similar it is to having a toxic relationship and many of the lyrics of poison relate to that voice telling you lies and that you're nothing without it.

Yeah, but Fizzarolli actually has nothing similar in behavior with Mammon when Angel does with Val. Fizzarolli doesn't care about money and doesn't use anyone for his benefit. What can you say about Val and Angel. They even have very similar accent and not only it. Aggressive behavior, sexualization of many things, Angel even feels Val. He knows how bad he can be and makes sure that nothing will happen to do him more aggressive. Even in the 2nd episode Angel didn't answer him that was literally correct for him. Val needs that time to calm down. Unfortunately Val doesn't know Angel at all. Only thing he knows about him is how to manipulate him, nothing else, he doesn't know how he'll behave next time. What about the most similar thing I found is that they both have gold tooth, I know it's not that rarity but I still didn't see anyone in episodes that has it too.
I honestly enjoyed ep 4 despite it making me feel uncomfortable at times. But of course, that was the intention for the episode anyway. It showed some of the horrible things that Angel had to go through that some people in the sex industry in actual reality have had to deal with. This episode honestly made me enjoy the character of Angel a lot more because he felt so humanized. All he wants is to leave his situation but can’t because of Valentino’s control over him, making him feel absolutely trapped no matter what he does. And that makes me want to root for him and see him break free of the chains he’s tied to in this episode

In a lot of ways, Valentino and Asmodeus are foils to one another. Ozzie is the literal Lord of Lust, but he doesn't believe in forcing himself upon others the way Val does. I guess when you think about it, every virtue and sin have both their positive and negative aspects. And the characters of the Helliverse serve as a way to explore all those complex nuances. 😘
Honestly it made me love Angel more. The raw topic is something you don't see and I have some traumas myself and it felt good to have some of those emotions show in him. It's hard to deal this and survive these things a lot of people don't understand and get upset. It is a story being shared. I have a lot of respect and love that they show very a little of what some people have gone/still going through.
Seems like the only way to “fix” this is to have Val enter into a contract with someone, have it go in a way where Val ends up owing that someone a form of payment defined by that someone, that someone declaring Angel as the payment, and finally that someone releasing Angel from ownership.
It’s controversial because people thought Val would rape Angel directly onscreen but in the episode there’s only brief flashbacks not showing the full thing so it was all for nothing.

@@gourley_85 Even if he's confident that the V's are insignificant, he's intelligent enough to know that Vox can't stand on his own without the alliance of him, Valentino and Velvette, which he mentions in the second episode. If Alastor really sought an end to Vox after he'd outlived his value as entertainment or if he became an imposing threat with the others, he'd likely achieve it through toppling the V's as a group, and subsequently in ending Valentino could free Angel Dust.
That being said, Alastor probably wouldn't mean to end Valentino for that reason, moreso Angel being free would be a side effect.

Episode 4 hit me across the face with a baseball bat named trauma.
It was an actual look at what hell is like. The hotel is like this perfect little bubble where everything is sweet and bubbly and a huge place filled with no expectations.
Seeing Valentino like that...and the poison scene was really heavy and l get why people would be shocked or uncomfortable but the hate is just stupid.
Fans find Valentino exploiting Angel controversial but when Alastor does the same to Husk nobody seems to care.
Angel singing poison is currently my favorite scene from Hazbin hotel. Incredibly unsettling but it gives you true emotions. Didn't expect something so strong from this series!

i love the show so far. both of them helluva boss and hazbin hotel! the emotional story telling is something i find laking in most modern and even older shows and it is nice to see these experinces shared and talked about in this medium. i have suh a huge amount of respect for the writters and creators of these two shows and i can't wait to see more of both!

I know this is probably to "happily ever after" for a story like HH, but what if Charlie, or at least her father, has the power to save Angel by taking back his soul or force Val to give them his soul to get out of some kind of punishment or something and it eventually goes to Charlie, and Charlie being Charlie and Angel being Angel, he assumes she's going to use it to force him to find redemption, but she just gives it back to him, saying he needs to make that choice on his own? I can see that being that sad moment where everything seems like it's over but that one little flicker of hope changes everything.
I wonder could you force an Overlord to release someone's soul?

I expected to be uncomfortable by the Poison scene when the song was released. They DEF delivered, it was more graphic than I expected. But none of the content was surprising, we've known Angel's circumstances since at least Addicts release.
All that said, I REALLY hope that Poison wasn't foreshadowing Angel's death. I expect he's gonna go through so real traumatic ish in this show, but I hope to lucifer its all in service of him breaking free from Val, maybe with help from the hotel fam

If Angel Dust's death is not avoidable, he might decided to drag Valentino down with him, especially when he is cornered. But if that happened, it means Vox will do more than just targeting Alastor because he will most likely blamed Charlie for Valentino's death.

But also when I hear important characters voices I hear popular characters too. Charlie sounding like repunzel from the cartoon series,vox like the new Donatello from tmnt,and when velvet sings all I heard was the girl that sings “get down” from the 6 queens musical. Also when I think about it… vaggie also gives off Cassandra vibes who is also from the repunzel cartoon and gets shipped with repunzel a lot
