@@devinm524 I think this was the NA server and it's not against the law in the US (not sure about Mexico or Canada). I like it this way - makes it easier to know who the shitheads are.

I don't think the last guy was being cocky. I think he knew he was gonna send the replay in and was asking how your salt mining was going, not inquiring on the quality of his. Kinda like "Hi Pig, hows your day going?"

So for my match at the start, my keyboard doesn't have a pause/break key to unpause myself, which is why the chat kept appearing in giant logs. My opponent used up all his pause/unpauses for that match. After this match, I rebound my unpause key to F12 so I wouldn't have to put up with this crap again. For reference, this match is supposedly either high D2 or low D1 on NA, so like 3.7K to 4K or so. I don't remember exactly where I was at. Great cast and commentary as always PiG!

I start watching this after playing 3 PvPs in a row and dying to cannon rush in all 3 of them, feeling all butthurt. After that first replay everything feels alright again already. Thank you Pig.

I lost in a game last night vs a toss that reminded me of some of the videos you casted :( he tried to cannon rush and failed… then immediately laid cannons everywhere and double star gate straight to fleet beacon … never thought I’d lose to a toss teching straight to carrier. But I didn’t drone hard enough and tried to break him with roach hydra.. but his carriers were enough with his cannons to stop my weak Econ army and I ended up losing to the ol’ shitty 3 base max carrier toss a move lol. But it’s my fault.
I somehow won to toss that successfully cannone rushe me. He built 4000 cannons everywhere and I outtraded him off ONE BASE
mental breakdowns on the ladder is part and parcel of what it means it be a starcraft player. #stockholmsyndrom for the love of the game.

I love these videos. The commentary is hilarious and this is really helping me realize that although these ppl are trying to be hurtful I just got to keep playing my game no matter what the game. Hard to zone them out - at times; make a good laugh about it and think like PiG - priceless

16:51 yes! 100 times yes! this is definitely something im learning about lately, and it's definitely, like, an *extremely* important skill! pivot pivot pivot! there are situations where just trying to keep doing the same thing you're doing is most of the time just going to have the same outcome in the same game! if you switch up what you're doing, especially if you have a good instinct for what will work instead, you might see more success. just as well, if you're doing something and your opponent just _totally and completely_ hardcounters you but you have time to cut your losses and pivot to something else that isnt going to be hardcountered as hard, you definitely should try!
of course, you can still definitely make the wrong call in doing this or the wrong call in what you pivot _to,_ so its always good to try and build up a better instinct overall for the concept and develop the skill just like any other.

Honestly this kind of system tends to legitimately be the best for competition IMO, especially in team games. You get fewer people salt throwing, less nerves, you see people around their actual standard levels of play, and people settle out to where they legitimately should be.
People care too much about stats when they're easily accessible, and some of my best experiences with non-tournament/ladder-based competitive systems has been in modes that aren't explicitly ranked or are even marked as casual outwardly. Some examples of this are the old Quake Live FFA (Yes, there was ELO tracked for FFA games and it was brutal), Paladins' Casual Siege (Another one which ELO is tracked through external APIs), etc.
The games are just better quality period, and in my experience there's a strong pro-player presence at the top ranks of the "casual" hidden MMR queues, very possibly for the same reasons that I played them: Because in the hidden MMR queues, you don't have nearly as many insecure, whiny, bad players trying to backseat or micromanage the team because they suck at the game and want to project their failures on their teammates. It's just people who are really good at the game playing the game to push themselves and enjoy it, and there was a pretty respectful culture in those spaces in my experience, starkly different than the displayed ranked queues.
20:00 sadly, almost every toss I get on the ladder does something just like this lol. Attempted cannon rush, followed by proxy stargate (that gets spotted) followed by hidden DT tech (that I DONT spot) and I die. Those games are frustrating as fuck.
I accidentally won one of these because I build lair for a roach upgrade. Literally just take the first ovie from the enemy nat and morph it to overseer

I think the problem is that every low level Zerg watched their huge army die to a half sized Terran/Toss army and are just so confused they don't know what to do. Maybe they thought they had good units that could attack and kill things?

I once got a guy begging for me to leave for the win after I successfully cannon rushed and reduced him to a single unpowered cannon, which I finally obliged to, only to find out after the game that I was played for a fool and he had already been the rank he claimed to want to achieve for the first time. Fool me once, shame on you. Won't get me again.
The thing he didn't realize is that having an artificially high rank just means he'll lose more. It's like reverse smurfing

Pig I'm a noob honestly don't even play but can you do a "If You See This" video or videos just basic stuff like if you see this expect this. Simple as make things that stab and shoot really quick or this is a cue that now you should expand in this scenario. You could go deeper like you can click on there gas and see there lower on gas count then they should be.... that means there most likely plotting for -blank- unit or strat. I want to read my enemies better how do I even do that? Your general commentary covers this all the time I just think a concentrated series focusing on it would be cool beans. Thanks :D

As someone that offraces Protoss Waloche is making me smile. ARCHONS COUNTER BIO. Zerg is Biological, thus he should have gone for Roach/Hydra and UPGRADES. That would have stopped the Archons from doing damage like that. instead he chose to cheese and got countered.

I play 99% unranked (I still for some reason get ladder anxiety after 10 years of playing this game off and on lol) and I’m plat 3 but most of the time my opponents are diamond 3 ? Always wondered about this

For those wondering why Terrans have such a hatred for protoss, it's because lower leagues are basically nothing but this + dying to DTs and splash. It just breaks people mentally.

I like how in sc2 u get to keep your highest rank for the season so if I get close to a promos, I'll ask people to give the win before I leave if I'm losing because it's a fun achievement to have that means I got every close to promos even if I didn't technically get it without asking for the free win.

Aight, Pig is def a Lil off with the comment about the "minority of the community". Especially the part where he goes on to say that if you play any other video games there are segments of the community like this. While yes obviously, every single game has its bottom demographic of racists and homophobes, SC2 general chat is literally infamous for the amount of toxicity and wild shit that is spewed there. While I'm not really a fan of censorship in in general, that's against the point of the fact that SC2 is the most prolific game when it comes to people who will openly use the n-word.

The chat populates from bottom to top, PiG read it in order. The player was just that nonsensical.
