Wow, that radio really has some POWER! Excellent, thanks for showing that radio. Very impressive, seems like everyone is only interested in the Strykers but, this one is comparable in every way!
Looks to me like you adjusted a coil to was that for power too.I seen it don't know if anyone else did or not so which is it if factory does it you can to.
I re-adjusted them to the tune. It's called fine tunning the circuit. The whole point was to show that the factory adjusted them as well and it's acceptable to do so.
@@cbrepairguy yeah but the one you adjusted was set from factory that way so you split it open for more what. Hey I'm just a driver didn't mean to insult you just always was told that was not a good idea that's all.do it your way.
Back in the early days they used adjustable inductors instead of coils, but due to cost they decided to go to these coils that are wound to be close to the proper tunning of the circuit, the issue with that is that all electronic parts have a tolerance (usually 10-20%) so no fixed coil will be a perfect tune and by spreading them or in some cases removing some turns you are fine tuning the circuit and it's no different then when you turn the slugs on the older radios. I hope this makes sence to you. Take a look at a Cobra 29, it still uses a slug for tuning and every shop adjusts them don't they.
Glad to see some more of your videos my friend always look forward to seeing them 73's old 097 TN MUD-FLAP
More to come!
