    I watched now a lot of videos from Reykjavik and Iceland. I have never seen such a clean country/city before. I watched this videos very carefully but I even could not see one piece of paper. This town is like if you walk through a computer game where no dirt is simulated. GREAT. I love this videos

    Loved it. When we visited Reykjavik, we only walked until the Seabaron, so the first hour and 40 minutes of this footage was from a part of the city I didn't know.. Excellent job, as usual.

    Some different videos of Central Reykjavik that I saw about 3 wks ago --- done by Reykjavik Grapevine reporters--- showed many trees and shrubs already greening-up in late April, but in the Reyk areas in this (your) video, I noticed that most of the vegetation hasn't yet begun to bloom or even show much 'greening.' at all....
    So, does the Reykjavik metro area have various sub-local 'micro-climates' - which might explain this apparent phenomenon via differing elevations/seasonal temperatures/sea breeze patterns, etc.??
    I would guess not, but would be interested if you have any info about the subject.
    Thanks for another enjoyable tour of Reykjavik's fascinating features...!

      @IcelandHotSpots  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alex. You are correct, you could call it micro climates. Some areas are already much greener while other colder areas, less protected from cold winds, are just getting started. But the city also has some variety in vegetation, lots of different kinds of trees and plants which are each differently adapted to temperature and humidity. If you look at Iceland as a whole there is also a lot of variety, southern parts of Iceland have much more humidity and higher temperature while other parts, especially in the highlands north of Vatnajökull glacier are basically a desert.

      @@IcelandHotSpots haha! I agree but unfortunately in NYC it’s super hard to find bathrooms so I need to take it easy with the coffee. Whenever I am in Iceland or Europe in general I drink a ton of coffee because there is always a lovely and clean WC nearby. America has a lot to learn from Europe in that regard!
