Brilliant! Thanks for this…I ordered the same lights after watching this. Two minutes on my bench grinder to ‘reduce’ the size of the nylon bolt and then a minute cleaning it up with the sander and I was in business. I’d really like to use the relay to maintain DTR, but I don’t want to mess anything up since I already have the Tusk LED Relay installed for my rear turn signals.

Have you been able to fix the hyper flash either with added resistors or by replacing the OEM blinker relay? In the video, the device referred to as the relay is really an adapter harness (called the TST Running Mate) to retain running light function on bikes, like the T7, which were originally built with functioning running lights. The bike's harness and pumpkin lights use three wires. The TST flush mount LED uses two wires and adapter harness (TST Running Mate) takes the three wires from the harness and modifies the output to provide running light functionality (80% brightness) and turn signal functionality (100% brightness). But, this leaves the bike with hyper flash.... resolved with added resistance (wired in resistors) or an LED compatible blinker relay module. Great video!
No. Back indicators needed a resistor, front indicators have a relay that should have fixed them. Emergency Flashers work in normal time but the left and right indicators hyper flash. Any suggestions would be helpful as tst says that installing a resister in line with the relay would damage the relay.
@@MotomojoFL Hi! I have the same setup at the front(TST flushmount + running mate) and an other kind of TST led at the rear. I changed the relay to a cheap one, from amazon, and it works perfectly. No hyperflash. Great video! Thanks!

Special Note: On certain models, the introduction of a running light function on your front signals will result in a turn signal light constantly appearing on your dash panel. The Suzuki DR650 and Yamaha TW200 are prime examples of displaying this issue.

The blinkers blink in “wrong” (faster) speed… I guess you have noticed that… if you change from normal blinkers to led there is another modification that should be made in order to work correctly! (Do not ask me what I have to search 😊 )
Yes. The relay was supposed to fix that. Usually a resistor fixes the hyper flash but unfortunately you cannot run a resistor and relay together.
Will these work on the rear also?
I’ve been told yes, but with some work. I’m leaning towards them on my rear as well. I’ll do another video if I go that route.

@@MotomojoFL For Yamama T 700, it looks like Kit #2?
I just added these flush mounts to the rear fender section and they look great. Quite a bit more work than the fronts. I utilized the original plug and wiring, cutting them at the original indicator. They need resistors wired in to function properly. I didn’t film this install but I have a video showing the installed product.
@@MotomojoFL The fronts were wired as seen in your video. The rear pumpkin blinkers use 2 wires (while front pumpkins use 3 wires). You reused the connectors from the rear pumpkins for the rear LEDs. And in the rear LED supply wire, you've added one resistor on each side? And, now, everything works as expected...standard rate flash, turn signals and emergency 4 way flashers AND the front LEDs are also providing running lights? Am I understanding this correctly? If so, you've done what TST has not yet been able to do as they've not had access to a T700. Good on you!
Hey @MotomojoFL, does you indicator light on your dash stay on solid when put one of the signal lights on? I just installed these on my T7 (with both the running light adapter and TST flasher relay) and my signal light on my dash doesn't flash anymore. It just stays on solid when I use the signal light.

Hey @@MotomojoFL , Yeah I bought one and installed it with my lights. Maybe I have a faulty flasher. Does your dash indicator light stay on when you signal or does it flash with your lights?
@@Farzz7 flashes with lights. It starts off rapid and then changes to normal speed after a flash or two.
@@MotomojoFL Ok. Thanks for the heads up. Mine just stays on for some reason. I tried it with the stock flasher relay it it also keeps the dash light lit solid when indicating. I'm going to try and take the running light adapters off and see if the dash light returns to normal.

One good down last month and destroyed the pumpkin turn signal. Another drop recently and the flush mounts didn’t even get touched. If you don’t drop the bike every once in a while, are you really riding it?! Right?
Glad I had a childhood full of dirt bikes and crashes. Made me tough and a little wiser… 👍🏼
