This is definitely different than alot of draft boards. Kudos for not copy pasting others homework. While i dont agree with half of these selections ik you do your homework and its not done lightly. Massive fan of the channel and your one of the main sources of getting info on the fringe prospects.
Appreciate it! Glad to see a comment like this.
@@FloorandCeiling I just grinded film of Tidjane Salaun and I'm really coming around to your swing at 8. I think I had prospect biased that he was too raw to even consider at this spot, without accepting he's a draft and stash player similar to Ousmane Dieng a few years back. Being if you're not sharp and effort filled defender with a standout NBA ready skill then Popovich won't give you minutes, simple as that. You also said he expands on the idea of Jeremy Sochan (and I'm guessing also Sidy Cissoko). Do you mean a replacement or a complimentary piece in the line-up?
@@justinbires6283 I think the Spurs should look to upgrade on Sochan long term, so more so as a replacement. I'm just not very high on him.
I'll have a video on Salaun really soon!
Spurs have zero interest in Trae
FACTS!
SA fans also have little interest in Trae
I'd be shocked if it was truly no interest.
It sure seems like Trae wants to come to the Spurs but the Spurs don't seem too interested. I think the Spurs value positionless players so I can see them taking Castle over Dillingham at 4 and Salaun at 8. I think this is a well thought out mock draft though.
Spurs are gonna be patient and continue to build through the draft
The Spurs are NOT going to waste a fist full of picks for Trae Young.
They only have to trade like one pick. Maybe two. They'd just be giving Atlanta back their own picks.
And Trae's two weaknesses -- defense and inability to consistently create quality late game shots -- are irrelevant next to Wemby whereas his greatest strength -- pick and roll but specifically lob passing -- becomes super charged
Trae and LaMelo are probably the two best guards to have next to Wemby.
@@michaelahurtmaybe two? Lmao delusion
@@atlbirdfan6959 of their own picks
Trade Atlanta back _their_ 2025, 2026 and 2027 firsts + #8 this year.
That is more than enough because Atlanta's own picks are worth way more to them than someone else's if they are gonna rebuild.
And the probability SA gets someone as good as Trae with those picks is slim. You essentially traded Dejounte Murray for Trae Young
You def took French in HS my guy pronounced Zach perfectly lol

Nice mock draft! Really hope dubs had a first round pick. I’m hoping Bona or Brandon Carlson for the dubs second round pick but I strongly doubt they would last till 50th picks. Will you do second round mock pick as well? And who do you see dubs picking? Many thanks in advance
Branden Carlson should be available at #52. I'm expecting him to go undrafted. Warriors would probably like his shooting, but he wouldn't bring much defense. I think he'll be in the G League next season.
I think the Warriors will pick a wing who can play the 3 and the 4. Someone like Keshad Johnson, Jalen Bridges, Jonathan Mogbo or Harrison Ingram would make sense in terms of maturity and being able to make reads.
@@FloorandCeiling thanks for the insight. Absolutely it makes more sense to draft a wing than a big who requires years to develop. Dubs would probably need someone who’s ready to play now. Like Jalen Bridges a lot! Not familiar with the others you suggested but will definitely check them out! Thanks again!
Man, I really am curious for this draft. Anything can happen. As a raptors fan I’m hoping for someone like kel’el ware to slip out the lottery
Heat will draft Ware at 15
It's wide open. End of June is gonna be exciting.
Thanks for the content 😊
Appreciate you! Thanks for watching!
Most people criticize this draft as having no star power but even if that ends up correct this draft does have good depth
Yeah, I'm with you. This draft is probably one you use to help build a team, rather than one you use to build a team around.
Spurs should get Castle at 4 and Salaun at 8.
That's ideal
Castle and Topic
If the Spurs cannot get Risacher at 4 I’m thinking Buzelis at 4 and Salaun at 8. I do not like the idea of Dillingham on the Spurs unless we draft more size to make up for such a little defensive liability.
Excellent choices, since Risacher is off the board.
@@Tain950 Excellent take!
1. Alex S. - seems like a done deal
2. Donovan C. - Wizards could draft anyone since they don't have a foundational piece yet
3. Zaccharie R - Rockets fan want Reed but I like this fit the most
4. Rob D - I wouldn't bet money on this Spurs rarely draft guys like this, if they do I would be shocked and would be of the opinion that they think his offense potential is generational. Stephon C, Reed S, or Zaccharie R are my bet
5. Dalton k - Pistons fans probably hate it but I think it makes sense. They need an instant contributor and someone in the running for ROY. If not, GM and coach might might not be around much longer
6. Stephon C - perfect pick although Hornets rarely get it right. Hopefully new ownership is turning it around
7. Matas B - Portland would likely be very excited to see him on the board
8. Tidjane S - wouldn't be surprised. Fits the profile spurs typically like. They also don't care if outlets think they're reaching
Great comment bruh. Want to hear more of you. Looks like a guy who knows Bball
Coming from a Pistons fan, if they do keep the pick, I’m cool with this selection. I’d be even happier if they trade down and still get Dalton because it would be a better value. The idea is this draft is so uncertain, he could be available between 9-14.
Very fair comments all around.
I get what you mean about Dillingham to the Spurs at 4. It's a deviation from recent picks, but I think Rob is gonna try everything in his power to impress the Spurs enough to go there. I really believe the potential of a pairing with Wemby can be super special.
With the number four pick the San Antonio Spurs DO NOT SELECT Rob Dillingham. He is a lightweight at 159 pounds and does not play defense. Better to trade for a point guard and use the #4 pick for the best player available.
Zacharrie Risacher is the perfect pick, but you have him going to Houston. So, we take the next best player available, Stephon Castle or Ron Holland.
I do like the other Frenchman, Tidjane Salaun. Raw, but very talented. Tremendous upside. The French Connection. He and Risacher would be tremendous!
Thanks for watching! What's the idea behind Castle in San Antonio? I've seen Spurs fans really want this, but I'm not convinced by this fit. I'm open to being brought around, though.
Risacher would be a good pick. I mentioned in the video his lowest outcome on draft night is probably #4 to the Spurs, so yeah.
@@FloorandCeiling Castle is not the shooter Dillingham is and Castle probably is not a pure point guard. But he plays good defense and defensive seems to be a foreign word to Dillingham. I kind of like Collier, who is more of a pure point guard.
I think in the Spurs will address their point guard need through a trade. Possibly picking up Darius Garland from Cleveland.
@@sarahmccoy1941 Your primary concern with drafting a PG is defence but you think Darius Garland is the long term solution for the Spurs? If you're content to have an "undersized" guard who also isn't making any All Defensive teams any time soon; why wouldn't you draft a rookie with the same offensive upside for a fraction of the cost? Darius just finished his first season of his five-year, $197 million fully guaranteed contract. Why would you commit yourself to that instead of drafting Dillingham?
@@dillamadukes21 Why do you have a love bond with Dillingham? Did you see his final collegiate game. He scored 10 points, but allowed more than that at the other end. If he played like that versus an Oakland team, what will he do in the pros? He will be frustrated going up against taller and more athletic guards in the NBA.
One last thing, if Dillingham is so damned good, why are there not other suiters out there looking to draft the guy??? They see him as I do, an undersized, tweener (not a pure point guard and not a pure shooting guard either)
Darius Garland is one of many point guard options out there available through trade or free agency.
@@dillamadukes21 Because Garland is actually a point guard.
Dillingham's playmaking is mostly theoretical. It's fine. It's serviceable. But you're not gonna confuse him with even D'Angelo Russell, let alone Trae Young or LaMelo Ball.
If you have Wemby you want someone who can maximize him and the gravity he creates which means a real old school point guard who can manipulate defenses and create scoring opportunities for everyone else. That's just not what Rob is.
Also if you have Wemby, I'm just not sure you should f**k around. He's gonna be All-NBA as soon as next season so just go get someone who already knows what they are doing and can play with him for 10 years vs hoping and praying. (Especially with a guy who would go between 10-25 in a normal draft.)
Although you aren't using one or both picks if you do that.
The Spurs already stated that they're not interested in Trae Young but Darius Garland is more of a possibility
Good thing teams never lie
@@Coldestaevadoit what's the smartest thing to do give Atlanta all their picks back to get a guard that doesn't play defense has an attitude or wait for them to implode so their picks will become high draft picks you tell me
We'll see what happens. I don't think Trae to SA is a surefire thing, but I think it's a real possibility despite what's been recently said. Garland is an option too.
Either way, both of those guys share similarities to Rob Dillingham also. Spurs could just draft Rob and opt for a longer term rebuild. Seems like they're not in a rush, but I also think it kinda depends on how quickly Wembanyama starts to totally dominate.
I'm loving all this content. The fact that everyone is so different really speaks to how wild this draft night could be. I think there's going to be a lot of trades as well throwing most of the consensus out the window. 😂
Thanks for watching! It's gonna be exciting.
My Spurs are gonna be the 1st all foreign starting 5 in the NBA 🤣
I believe there are already at least 6 NBA teams this season that could have a foreign starting five.
Devin Vassell is american tho and he’s our franchise SG
Spurs have always loved international talent lol
T. Young to Spurs is not at all happening ! No thanks on Dillingham either. Castle at 4 and Nikola Dujirisic at 8 for Spurs sounds good to me.
Topic is the best pg available but I see why you'll take castle, he plays great defense and is great pg too
@Mdksupreme1 agreed on Topic... just concerned if he's njury prone. Defense probably is workable and his shooting can come around more. What options Spurs have ! Its just like going to Krispy Kreme ... what donuts do I choose ? 😅
I see a star pg in Dillingham
I cannot get behind Djurisic as even a first round pick, if I'm being honest. Castle kinda makes sense if he comes in as a wing, but not to play point guard imo.
@FloorandCeiling Nikola D. Is a player I'm betting, and plays in a pretty good league already. Spurs and Pop like foreign players too. Castle even shot well at combine drill. Spurs need more ruggedness and he's physical alright. We shall see !,
I’m confused how Reed Sheppard dropped so low
Just contextual stuff. I can see him going as high as #3 on actual draft night, though I wouldn't pick him that high up.
Clingan will go to the wizzard only if they get another first round pick.
They will go Rischer or one off the Kentucky guards.
I'd feel good about Risacher to the Wizards, but I think they can find a longer term star prospect at the wing in next year's draft.
@@FloorandCeiling
Would you take Clingan at 2 when there is a good chance Edey or Yves Missi drop to 25?
@@doritmaman I'm considerably higher on Clingan than either Edey or Missi, so probably. But if DC can somehow get a lot of assets for the #2 pick, they should be very open to trading down.
Castle number1 player this draft
Who?
What makes you say that?
@@FloorandCeiling That’s a good question F&C. You guys are confusing us diehard hoops fans with the different projections.
Reed Sheppard going at #14 is NUTZ.
Like I said, I think he'll go higher once draft night actually rolls around but this is what I would do. I have Sheppard at that spot on my big board, as well.
It's not even that its low which is crazy..but on blazers? U don't know us ha. That ain't happening and it happening for that reason and more so cuz he won't be there..but man we don't need guard
@@FloorandCeiling To each their own and I respect that. I see the Rockets taking him at #3 and some may say that is a reach, but it fills what the Rockets needs are on a loaded team with young talent. Plus, FVV's expiring max contract, which most likely will be used to resign either Sengun or Green. I bet they resign Sengun, move Cam fulltime to SG and use Reed to back up the SG/PG. Thus, giving them 3 future playmakers in Reed (PG/SG), Thompson (PG/SF) and Sengun (C). Reed also helps their shooting problems.
He is an Udoka type player and there is no other guard in the draft that can fill all those Rockets needs like Reed can. Reed's desire and dedication is a measurable level or two above anyone in this draft and this is not talked about, but will show up bigtime in his NBA career. I bet he will be at the top of this draft class within a few years if he plays under Udoka and a defensive minded team. I do believe that Stone being an analytics pioneer and expert will not miss Reed's measurable qualities.
If Reed doesn't go at #3 I for one will be sad about it.
Interested in your take on the Spurs trading for Trea Young - especially since inside source have said numerous times that the Spurs are not interested in this trade and you have the Spurs taking Dillingham at 4 (a Trea young type guard who shoots well but doesn't defend). why do you think the Spurs would do this? Thanks as always for the content and excellent analysis!
Thanks for watching as always! I get what the Spurs are putting out to the media about their interest in Trae, but I really also think that might just be a smokescreen. After all, this is a trade that "everyone" is more or less predicting, so if San Antonio really wants to do it, then they probably want to minimize the public aspect of it as much as possible.
With both Trae and Rob Dillingham, the idea should be to get Victor Wembanyama a dynamic point guard whose defensive limitations he can cover, while getting set up in return. Both Trae and Rob are/can be great operating out of ball screens and bending the defense with their shooting. I think can really benefit Victor.
@@FloorandCeiling Thank you so much for replying and further explaining your reasoning. You're the best!
Grizz have no room 4 Holland.... wings are set, need a big
I don't agree at all that the wings are set. Memphis has been trying hard to find an extra contributor on the wing for a while with Ziaire Williams, Jake LaRavia, David Roddy, GG Jackson, Vince Williams...
@FloorandCeiling just named 5 players with only Roddy being gone. There's only 15 players to a team, what u trying to do😅. U think GG is only going to be a 6th man or your drafting high for a 6th man?
If Filipowski is the pick, then the Kings are trading down as many teams will be trying to jump up especially if Reed Sheppard and Topic are still on the board.
Agreed. I think there's the potential for a lot of trades to happen around draft time.
New spurs fans are crazier than Lakers fans (in Many comment sections)
Judge not lest ye be judged.
Nobody knows what to do in 2024. It’s going to be a train wreck for the majority of these GM’s. There might be one or two teams that make out well. And those lucky teams will probably strike gold outside the lottery.
It's gonna be wide open. Draft night(s) are gonna be exciting.
I like Carter to the Grizzlies at 9. Ja, Smart, and Rose all miss games. There is a bigger gap there than the wing since GG and Vince Williams stepped up. Kennard is not likely to be on the roster but him too
This is on the higher range imo for Carter, but I do like the fit and I think he's is NBA-ready enough to the point where he fits Memphis' current timeline.
Everyone keeps counting out WAS as a landing spot for Clingan, but it literally makes the most sense for them. They have Bagley and Holmes and literally no other viable bigs. They take Clingan at #2 and add a top 5 pick next year.
I'm with you. The more I thought about it, I think it makes sense for DC to prioritize a big or a guard this year.
Don't get me wrong - Risacher would not be a bad pick here. It's just that the Wizards will likely be a bad team again next season, end up with a high draft pick, and that's when there will be a lot of great wing/primary initiator prospects.
Topic and Shepard out of top 10?’ You ll be laughing at your own picks soon…
This is what I'd do. Like I said, Sheppard likely goes higher than where I placed him, although he's around 14 on my own big board. Topic could too, though I'm less sure on that.
Spurs select 4 Castle,8 Knecht,I think that will perfect fit!!!
I get Knecht, but what do you think the appeal for the Spurs is with Castle? I see a lot of San Antonio fans who want him.
I'll be shocked if 5 out of the first 8-10 picks are not PGs. Rob Dillingham, Reed Shepherd, Isaiah Collier, Stephon Castle, and Nicola Topic.
Yeah, I'd say that's pretty fair. I don't consider Castle to be a point guard, though, even if he sees himself that way.
I like your thought process with a lot of these picks
Thank you!
Matas Buzelis shows Ginobli flashes with better size and defensive tools. He will not be available at 8. So spurs need to swing on him at 4 if they want him.
I don't think he is anywhere close to Ginobili with the ball in his hands right now. A ton of development would need to take place there. Would you feel comfortable taking Matas at 4?
Ginobli? And you got nine "thumbs up" with that comp and comment? I guess we know what Matas Buzelis family was doing today.
Buzelis is far from Ginobili's level.
When Manu Ginobili arrives in the NBA he is 25 years old, has been a professional for 7 years in Argentina and Italy, has won everything in Europe, has been the 2001 EuroLeague's Finals MVP, has been the Italian League MVP in 2000-01 and 2001-02, and has been second with the Argentine national team in the 2002 FIBA World Championship, being a member of the All-Tournament Team along with Yao Ming, Nowitzki and Peja Stojaković.
Spurs are keeping their picks.
We'll see.
Reed Sheppard 3rd to Houston
It's a fit that makes sense, but I just preferred Risacher's size, length, and defensive translation.
I think Salauns way too much of a reach at 8 depending on what the spurs have planned this offseason, i love the Dilly pick but hoping it pans out to take Castle at 4 and Dilly at 8 (since Det, Cha, and Por, all have solidified PGs) but again all depends on FA
A lot of the Spurs' decisions on draft night, like you said, come down to the off-season. It's gonna be very interesting.
I rather the spurs draft castle because the upside seems higher, and draft a point guard next year
What type of point guard do you think the Spurs need?
@@FloorandCeiling Nolan Traore 🤞🤞
With all due respect, you are ridiculous. You give all the “spot on” analysis as to why the Spurs do NOT take Dillingham ( 6’1 no defense) and the you go right ahead and pick him. Pls explain how he is going to defend NBA(not college) big guards (6’5 6’7). Umm, he will have difficulty trying to see over these guys.
The Spurs are not going to pass on Topic (according to) your mock to choose Dillingham. smdh (seriously)
At least you said with all due respect
Reed Shepherd might be the better fit because of how the Spur want to play off of Wemby, but Dillingham is and will be the more dynamic franchise changing player than Shepherd could/would be, IMO.
tony parker was 22nd pick wtf.
As much as I do like Topić on the bulls, he's too injury prone to play in chicago
I really don’t think it matters all that much, the value of someone of his quality making it all the way to 11 would be too hard to pass up.
Then you regret🤣
@@victorakwaowo7998They already are dealing with Lonzo Ball’s injury history.
He's had a couple of injuries this season, but it's way too early to put that label on him.
@FloorandCeiling bulls gotta have the worst medical team in the league 😅 if you get a leg injury while on the bulls, just know your seasons over 😭
Im warming to the idea of Knecht in the 5-7 range. As a Hornets fan, I think the upside of Holland is hard to pass on. I also think Collier is going to be tough in the league.
I agree
Id agree. Hollands best fit I think is Hornets.
Charlotte is one of the toughest teams to predict imo because they're starting totally fresh. I get the appeal of Holland with the Hornets and think it's a real option. Besides, I feel like they can't get the draft *too* wrong at the #6 spot this year.
I'm totally with you on Collier.
The more shooters you surround Lamelo with the better. If Knecht is still there, he should be their pick.
@@linxblack5921 i think if Holland is there at 6, you take him. Put up better numbers than Jalen Green. I will take Lamelo + Jalen 1.5 + Brandon everyday of the week. I would certainly be happy with Knecht if Holland is off the board, but I think Hornets board should be Sarr, Holland, Risacher, Castle, Knecht, Buzelis (no Shep or Dillingham, no Clingan)
Yaaaaa! I told you wizards probs passing on zacc!
The more I thought about it, I just ended up going back to the idea of DC not being a good team this season and acquiring a star potential wing/primary initiator in the 2025 draft.
This is an example of overthinking with the salaun pick and topic dropping
How so?
With the 2nd pick in the draft the Wizards will / "SHOULD" pick a franchise player of need, that player is Rob Dillingham.
No way there taking Clingan.
The Wizards need a franchise player, but they won't be good this upcoming season. The 2024 draft can absolutely produce a star, but the 2025 draft seems like a much likelier option to.
@@doritmaman Clingan is a stiff man, and I've heard more than one scout say that he is at least two to three years away from being a productive player let alone a franchise player. Also the Wizards have not had an above average PG since the early John Wall years. Their fixation with 6-6" to 6-9" wings have "ruined" their franchise. The return to sanity and sound judgment would be to draft Rob Dillingham, who even though I think he have flaws, would be the best player/fit out of the 2024 draft for the Wizards.
@@FloorandCeiling Yeah I know about the 2025 Draft, but at least Rob Dillingham would be a legit cornerstone type of player for the Wizards moving the Wizards in the right direction.
@@linxblack5921Rob Dillingham is probably more 6th man than franchise cornerstone.
Best case he's Tyrese Maxey but I think people undervalue how good a finisher Maxey is for his size. Rob is probably Lou Williams 2.0
But a Dillingham + Poole backcourt essentially guarantees having the worst record and maybe the worst defense in NBA history
I'd still rather have him over Clingan though. At least Rob is fun to watch.
Top 5
1.sarr
2.busilas
3.topic
4.holland
5.edey
Really do not see Edey going this high.
@@FloorandCeiling next Yao ming
It’s amazing how little respect is given to Edey. You might be the GM of the year.
topic would just be another dalen terry/ patrick williams. devin carter would be a better option at 11 in my opinion
Topic is a much better passer and ballhandler than PatWill and especially Dalen. He's a legit point guard.
I'm high on Carter, but he only makes sense to Chicago imo if the Bulls keep one or both of DeRozan and LaVine around. I don't think they should.
@@FloorandCeiling I didn't know you had Topic going to the Bulls, (I must have overlooked that). Come on man, the Bulls have Coby White as their starting PG backed up by Ayo Dosunmu, also Ball is rumored to be coming back. The Bulls should draft a player like Yves Missi and develop him or rather Kel'el Ware. As a matter of fact if they let Ware pass them by it will show just how clueless the Bulls FO truly is.
Hell yeah, this is the first mock I seen with Knecht to the Pistons, makes a ton of sense I love it
Thanks for watching! Like I said, it's definitely higher than he is on my own big board, but I think the fit with Detroit makes a lot of sense and it really helps that he's coming in more or less ready-made.
@@FloorandCeiling 100% at some point especially the Pistons you have to stop hoping for upside and just draft for fit and readiness
Rockets ain’t going Risacher bro, they going for someone who can spread the floor and that shepherd who is an elite shooter. Amen and Risacher are similar players besides the shot.. also spurs till perfect to get risacher again who will be available over Rob. Bro, ur IQ is wack
Amen and Risacher play nothing alike.
Topic, to the Bulls are you crazy? 😢 he's too injured prone.
Too early to put that tag on him. He's still 18.
I think Washington needs a pg , they already ve Tristan and i think they are high on him
Tristan is a 7’, but he’s not really a center.
Vukcevic played well after coming over, but I think the only way he should really figure in Washington's long-term plans is a backup frontcourt option.
Wouldn't mind DC drafting a point guard or really the franchise player who's gonna have the ball in his hands the most, but I think they can hold off another year. The dream should be to get one of Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey, Dylan Harper, VJ Edgecombe, etc. after next season.
Clingan at 2 makes alot of since 🤔.
Thanks for watching!
When Patrick Williams left Florida State a couple of years ago I said he should not be drafted in the 1st round and I was right, and I'm saying the same thing about Cody Williams. IMO he's not even better than his teammate Tristan Da Silva. But the more of these scrubs drafted before my Knicks make their picks at 24 and 25 (two of Kel'el Ware and Kyshawn George or Bobi Klintman) would be fine with me. And with the Knicks 2nd round pick the drafting of Ajay Mitchell would seal it for the Knicks.
Cody wasn't better than TDS in college, but I think the translation to the NBA will be way better.
Ajay Mitchell to the Knicks is something I'd like to see.
@@FloorandCeiling The only reason Cody Williams was getting so much hype his year at Colorado and even now is still being mentioned as a 1st round talent let alone a lottery pick (which IMO is ridiculous) is because his brother is Jalen Williams, we all know that. But Cody Williams is nowhere close to the player Jalen was coming out of college. Plus Cody don't have an NBA body, he will get manhandled in the NBA. IMO he is an end of the bench player and will be that for a long, long time.
@@linxblack5921 Jalen did not enter the draft until after his junior year of college. Tristan da Silva is a senior and is 3.5 years older than Cody. Cody is a freshman and played well before getting hurt. A team will be drafting him for his upside, but he isn't a total project either. With his length and mobility, he will probably be at least an average defender, and he already has a pretty solid handle for a wing, can slash to the paint, and has good touch near the rim. We will have to see if the shooting is real, but his length, athleticism, and skillset are advantageous for the NBA. I like da Silva, but his NBA ceiling is probably just being a rotation guy. Cody has the potential to be much more than that.
Bro drink a few redbulls before making the vids
All these mock drafts that only cover the lottery are really boring! It’s the same 15-17 players shuffling positions. I’m much more interested in what happens after the lottery and the 2nd round. That being said, I am a Warriors fan, and we only have a 2nd round pick.
Realistically, in this scenario the Jazz would draft Topic or Williams.
I'm higher on Collier than Topic, so I went with the USC guard. Topic makes sense too.
