Repairlets will look at empty slots and tell you there is nothing to replace. Even if they own reballing tencils they will look you straight in the eyes and repeat the same.
I'm reluctant to upgrade from my HP ProBook that I bought for school 4 yrs ago because of that reason. I'll find a good upgrade eventually because the laptop is still good, but for intense tasks like video editing, it's long in the tooth.
I have pc workshop Currently i have customer that bring it to me exact same laptop but with 4gb ram variant. Random crash every 10 min. But i don't want to spend my time working on it. 😂

well you can replace the wifi card
Any laptop sold under $200 in the last 3 years is like this under the hood. I never recommend them to any of my clients.
You seen a MacBooks motherboard lately? Apple is notorious for non upgradability. Everything is soldered in.
@@RhinoXpress This is why I feel right to repair needs to be a bigger priority in the industry.
Alot of the Junk chromebooks are built like this ive noticed lol
Macbooks to.
You could if you had the right soldering equipment to add more ram. I see two vacant pads where ram would be soldered into. 😁
I probably could if I was more experienced in soldering. I did it a couple of times in college, but I'd like to get better at it eventually.
There are still two ram pads unsoldered ;)
If only I was more experienced in soldering lol. Even if i was, sounds pretty complicated.
This is why I'm switching to PC, you can't do shit with these modern laptops

Lol even the m.2 slot was disoldered. Bet this has emmc
And that EMMC SSD is very slow...🐌
What work did you do then? Open the back panel?
All I added was a micro SD card & called it good lol. It would be a good enough laptop for basic tasks, but nothing else.
hımm yes it seams like you said
I have pc workshop
