Love & War has always been a beautiful song. R.I.P to LaShawn Daniels who co-wrote it with Tamar. They made MAGIC. Y’all might remember him on her reality show back then. 🙌🏽
I remember LaShawn, he was such a gifted writer/producer. He, in collaboration with Vince Herbert, really put Love and War on the map Rest in Paradise LaShawn. 💜

Still one of my personal biggest upsets with the Grammys.....her and Mariah are the biggest upsets for the Grammys they deserved better.

@@christianWilliams-pc4jn My point was that they can do all of that but still need to learn how to to use their instrument. Natural talent doesn’t mean anything if you don’t know know how to use it. Plenty of very talented people have ruined their voice because they didn’t have guidance. Also Whitney did have tremendous talent but grew up in the church. So she wasn’t born having such great ability. She had to learn & work for many years. Unlike Celine Dion & Mariah Carey for example. They didn’t have that environment to help them & were unbelievable vocalists at a very young age. With Whitney they are known to be the Holy Trinity.
I never knew their voices would blend like that. *Wow* !!!. Now that was something else. They should really record something together.

This was so beautiful to hear. It’s the calmness of Tamar for me. She’s literally hitting those notes with such ease like it doesn’t take skill or isn’t a divine gift. You either have it or you don’t. These are singeerrrrs! I love the fact that Jhud can sing but really appreciates real talent.
You study to show your self approval like the word say, meaning you work on what you have a passion for. It all starts somewhere, meaning Yah gave you that passion.
Who knew Tamar and J Hud could harmonize together so good!
Both of their talent is underated, their soulful sound and they sing like they mean it. They also sing better than a lot of mega stars. I'm so proud of all their success.
Tamar maybe, but not Jennifer Hudson. That woman is an EGOT winner. Her problem is EVERYONE acknowledges her talent, but she doesn’t have any hits. If she could get a song like Love & War and not turn it into a church hymn she could have a major hit.

The blend is so on point that I'm not 100% positive who is singing which harmony, other than the end, only because JHUD cuts out early to bask in the moment and you can hear Tamar singing the top. @@JoeCola oh, I've listened to at least 5 different clips of them singing it. It's my favorite thing to hear them sing. I still prefer this moment over that. Just personal preference, mostly because of their blend. All great stuff though.
