For those who like salty/sea breeze vanillas I highly recommend Couleur Vanille by L'Artisan Parfumeur. Such an unusual smelling marine vanilla and it kept me intrigued. Not my style but I can appreciate the direction it went and I know many people out there would love it.
@@ThePerfumeNest It really is a beautiful quality sea breezy vanilla. I honestly think if I can find a larger spray on sample it might grow on me. There was nothing nasty, weird, or jarring about it but the combination of notes gives it an unusual smell that kept me sniffing it. Hello Chris, I love Vanilla Planifolia. I remember it being sold out for almost a year, and when I finally got my bottle (it was a blind buy, too), I was super happy like I’d hit a jackpot. Queening is on my wishlist. If you haven’t smelled it yet, Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria Bosca Vanilla is another winner, and in my opinion, a good summer vanilla. 🌞🌞🌞🥰

Hi Chris, you look beautiful today. MMMM vanilla, my favourite. Unfortunately I haven't been feeling well, so I haven't been wearing any perfumes. Maybe soon....
I love Architects Club. My Eau Duelle is long gone, may purchase the travel size as I don't need another 100 ml of a scent I've already had. Good to know I don't need the new Ormonde Jayne as I still have 1/3 bottle of the Iris Vanille. I will test the new one in the shop next time. I may have to blind buy that Chloe Vanilla. I know Nordstrom has a good return policy, which I have never taken advantage of. I prefer to test first, but it's not in the store. Don't know why Nordstrom has the boring fragrances in the store and the unique stuff online. Great review!!
Vanille des Afrique sounds wonderful! In general vanilla perfumes are not my jam, the ones I like need to smell like perfume, not like a dessert. I have a few but they need to have other complementary notes for me to like them so this one seems to be right up my alley.
I ordered Tres Cher! Thanks for putting it on my radar!😊Also Architects club! Can’t wait to try them. Have you tried Universal Flowering Venus is Tuberose?
@@ThePerfumeNest omg I’m dying to try it! Raspberry lime cream soda and grass?! Sounds so weird and delicious smelling😆 can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it
Hi Chris!😊❤ I discovered Note Vanille and Architects Club from you and really love both…I am diving into Dyads fragrances and all they offer - so many sound good! 😊 Happy Sunday!☀️😎
You got a lot of my favorite vanillas here. I surprisingly use Berrylicious a lot. Seems to hit the spot no matter what mood I am in. Hope you are well and enjoying the summer 💕💕💕
@@hintofscentiment oh my gosh how exciting!!! I guess it depends on your taste, the weather, your gown…..but I have a handful; something timeless and classy (Fleurissimo by Creed), a Chanel (Les Exclusifs) , Valaya. Tropical weather / destination wedding : Ylang In Gold, Frangipani by Chantecaille or even Solar Blossom which is an orange blossom masterpiece. Just off the top of my head ❤️❤️
Hey, Chris! I require my vanillas to have some complexity, even in summer. Vanille des Afriques is on my list, to be sure, but I haven't smelled it yet. I'm pretty sure I'll love it, though. I think I'm going to cave and buy a dupe for the Guerlain Bosca Vanilla since I can't get the real deal. I just love Guerlain so much! A favorite summer vanilla of mine is Vaniglia del Madagascar by Farmacia SS Annunziata. I think there's the very subtle/ faint notes of citruses and strawberry at the beginning and then dry woodiness in the drydown that remind me of summer.
Hey there!!! That Forte Bosca was everywhere like 6-8 weeks ago and now poof! It’s gone. I had two bottles of the Vaniglia Del Madagascar by Farmacia and used to show it all the time here on my channel but stopped when it got discontinued. It’s one of my all time favorite perfumes. 🥲
I wanna smell like an “angel on the beach”! I guess I need to retest Tres Cher’s. I really need to try the new Ormonde Jayne. I thought you might put Inside Out by The Gate on this list. Have a great 4th of July! 🎆🎇🎆
@@ThePerfumeNest Try Sexual Sugar by Michel Germain. I swear that when I first smelled my sample of Acqua e Zucchero I thought it smelled like exactly like Sexual Sugar! Sexual Sugar is way better in smell than Pink Sugar, too and doesn't have that horrible burnt note in it (well, Pink Sugar smells burnt to me).
Very picky about my vanillas so I do not have many. That said, I received a sample of Bosca Vanilla Forte with an order I placed from Guerlain and ordered it immediately. Think I will give Ylang In Gold a try.
@@ThePerfumeNest I like it is a watery vanilla which is not typical. YEARS ago Henri Bendel had a perfume called Vanilla Flowers that was not sweet or powdery but had that watery note. I think this reminds me of that but this has that marine salt which makes it special.
I am dying tl try note vanille !!! I have a feeling that will be my signature scent.. i dont want more than 40 perfumes i have 20 :) top 3 are must de cartier edt , mancera velvet vanilla , born in roma (& intense actuallybut its kinda weak) but yeah i just know i would love note vanille. As soon as i have $$$ im getting it. I wonder if the nectar one is better ? Do u know? I am absolutely loving your channel .. im new to perfumes i used to only have 1 for years it was Good Girl . I cant afford all the amazing expensive ones cuz im a single mom and not yet making bank , but i will one day !! Beautiful classy and cool.. thx for the awesome videos and explanations xoxo
Melissa! Your sweet comment literally made my week! My month! I will cherish it. 🙏🏻❤️ you have an incredible spirit and I wish I knew you in person because you sound like an amazing person. For the longest time I only had one or two perfumes; I was a forever student or apprentice and could not afford more. If I didn’t have a YT channel there is NO WAY I would have anything close to this amount. I love that you are positive and have dreams! It’s so important!!! Thank you so much for the kind words and you can enjoy so many perfumes without spending a fortune. I personally have been buying more travel sizes (5-10mls) which is a perfectly wonderful way to enjoy a fragrance without spending a ton. You absolutely don’t need a FB to enjoy and own a perfume. I’m a firm believer in that.
Thanks Chris for this list, a lot of them sounds amazing! I just bought my very first high end parfume, Gypsy Water for this summer. I also bought, thanks to you, Zen by Shiseido and love them both. Unfortunately Donna by Trussardi is a bit too much white florals for me, can´t pintpoint out which flowernote I dislike but I like the drydown. Hopefully I will get to love this one too ;-)
I bought a small vial of Ylang in Gold after hearing many great reviews about it... turned out that to me it smells like cleaning products. Does this happen to other people or is my sense of smell broken?
@elisasanchezcorrea9739 So sorry to hear that but you did the right thing to sample first 👏. Recently there was a Commodity new release and everyone was waxing lyrical about it; I was sitting there thinking let's wait 6 months before we see how many of them declutter it 🤷♀️. Anyway, keep enjoying and exploring...
I mentioned in another comment that ylang-ylang tends to smell like rotten bananas to me and lemon/grapefruit dominant scents smell like cleaning products or urine to my nose so no, your sense of smell isn't broken lol. I will say to let the scent sit for a bit if you still have it and then go back to it because when I first got a sample of Jovoy's Fire At Will I wasn't that impressed but when I went back to smell it again after about two months I was drooling over it! The sample was almost empty from evaporation so I couldn't even spray it on me to test it but wow, it smelled amazing! I have a larger sample coming to test drive it and if it makes me weak in the knees again, then I'll get a travel spray size for sure.
I dismissed Vanilla Powder initially, but now I am wondering if I should revisit. Are you familiar with Un Bois Vanille, Serge Lutens? It has woods, vanilla, and coconut too. Initially, it was a challenge for me and now I’m a full devotee. Interesting how sometimes we have to get to know a fragrance before falling for it!
Yes!!! I used to have Un Bois! It’s lovely! And Vanilla Powder is a gorgeous beast of a perfume, it just unfortunately pulled very heavy on a molecular musk on me
My new Note Vanille has a prominent rose, I did test it on skin many times in the store and there was no rose to be found... So, a bummer... La Cautiva and Vanilla Powder remain my preferred vanillas when I go out in the heat, and I'm even contemplating buying Silky Woods Elixir for the hot days, just didn't test it on skin, yet. I look forward to testing the Guerlain Vanilla for when I'm indoors this summer.
Oh my goodness! It must be a new batch. I don’t really get rose in mine. I mean maybe a smidge ??? So thanks for leaving this warning about the new batches. Just curious, where did you get your bottle?
@@ThePerfumeNest Europe, in Montenegro on a trip, actually. The juice is lilac in colour, and the testers are yellow everywhere. It's like Rose Turkish delight 😕

I’ve been trying to get a scent similar to vanilla berry sorbet (a bath and body product that was discontinued) which was supposedly a scent described as summery berries and sweet vanilla cream. I was wondering if maybe the Acqua e Zeccchero or Berrylicious perfumes would be more closely related?
Hi there! Well Berrylicious might be closer as Acqua is more of a vanillic cotton candy scent with some undertones of berries but Berrylicious is more berry forward. I would get a sample from Lucky Scent. That’s how I started…with the sample set
My favorite perfume was Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Luxe edition, do you remember that one? I would love to know if you would have a dupe for that. It was Jasmine, creamy, vanilla powdery and more. I have the regular Cashmere Mist, it’s just not the same. Thank you for any suggestions you may have!!!😊

I know Nordstrom has a good return policy, which I have never taken advantage of. I prefer to test first, but it's not in the store. Don't know why Nordstrom has the boring fragrances in the store and the unique stuff online. Great review!!
😂😂😂I agree. I haven’t been to Nordstroms in person in over a year but remember thinking how their in store selection has gone WAY down.
I have Note Vanillee but never tried it in the summer. I will now, thanks for the recommendation!
I was the same! 😂
Vanille des Afrique sounds wonderful! In general vanilla perfumes are not my jam, the ones I like need to smell like perfume, not like a dessert.
I have a few but they need to have other complementary notes for me to like them so this one seems to be right up my alley.
Hey there!! You are not alone. I hear that all of the time
@@ThePerfumeNest my favorite vanillas are Vanilla Diorama and Lune Feline. 🤍
I ordered Tres Cher! Thanks for putting it on my radar!😊Also Architects club! Can’t wait to try them. Have you tried Universal Flowering Venus is Tuberose?
It’s currently sitting in my cart! Lol
@@ThePerfumeNest omg I’m dying to try it! Raspberry lime cream soda and grass?! Sounds so weird and delicious smelling😆 can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it
Loved this video, Chris! I’m enjoying my travel size of Vanille d’Afrique. There are a couple of other ones in here that I want to try…😍
You are so sweet for stopping by!❤️❤️
Hi Chris!😊❤ I discovered Note Vanille and Architects Club from you and really love both…I am diving into Dyads fragrances and all they offer - so many sound good! 😊 Happy Sunday!☀️😎
Yay!!! Did you see they also offered us a 15% off coupon? They are simple , clean, pretty and easy! I’ve been tossing them in my bag!
@@ThePerfumeNest ooh yes!! Thank you for the reminder. Which one is sweetest??
Just ordered a travel spray of the Mizensir.
Hey Jill! It does wear lightly. But it’s so pretty. I enjoy it as a work scent
Thanks to you I have and absolutely love Architects Club!
Yay!!
What a great list Chris! I’m going to pull out Note Vanille and see how I like it 💜
Yes ! I was surprised it worked in the warmer months this!!
You got a lot of my favorite vanillas here. I surprisingly use Berrylicious a lot. Seems to hit the spot no matter what mood I am in.
Hope you are well and enjoying the summer 💕💕💕
Mercedes!!! I got your package!!! Thank you so much! What a sweetheart you are!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@ThePerfumeNest So Happy you got it 😁
This is an awesome list Chris! I recently sampled Queening and loved it! It’s on the bridal list 🤗
Hey there! Oh how fun!! Are you getting married??😲
@@ThePerfumeNest I am in a couple months! I’ve been taking notes on fitting profiles. Any other scents that you’d recommend?
@@hintofscentiment oh my gosh how exciting!!! I guess it depends on your taste, the weather, your gown…..but I have a handful; something timeless and classy (Fleurissimo by Creed), a Chanel (Les Exclusifs) , Valaya. Tropical weather / destination wedding : Ylang In Gold, Frangipani by Chantecaille or even Solar Blossom which is an orange blossom masterpiece. Just off the top of my head ❤️❤️
@@ThePerfumeNest Thank you so much!! I’m going for timeless so I’ll be checking out Fleurissimo! Will also revisit Valaya as well 🤍🤍
@@ThePerfumeNest Of course, because we are scent sisters!
❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌🙌
I wanna smell like an “angel on the beach”! I guess I need to retest Tres Cher’s. I really need to try the new Ormonde Jayne. I thought you might put Inside Out by The Gate on this list. Have a great 4th of July! 🎆🎇🎆
😂😂I know right??!👼🏖️ oh my goodness I completely walked right by Inside Out! It would have been perfect!🤦♀️😂
I also have Tres Chere but if I’m honest I go nose blind to it almost straight away. I hardly smell it 😫
It’s not strong that’s for sure. I am heavy handed but I like that it’s safe for work
I get cotton candy from Acqua e Zucchero too. So, good. I need to add this asap
It’s expensive for what it is , but I haven’t found anything close that I enjoy more and it’s a beast and has amazing longevity. ❤️❤️
Your amazing recommendations add so many fun frags to my "try" list... wheeee!
You are so adorable thank you!!🙏🏻
Très chère is amazing. It would have been in my top 10 for life if the performance was better
Yes I agree it’s not a powerhouse by any stretch
Hi Chris! Love your outfit today! ❤ Great list! I need to wear more vanilla in the summer!
Ylang in Gold! ❤ Love anything Arquiste! ❤
Hey lovely! Thank you! 🙏🏻 ❤️❤️
They all sound beautiful! 😍
Hey my friend!!
@@ThePerfumeNesthey back at ya Sweetie!❤️
Beautiful Chris,
I love vanilla ❤
I need to get my hands on a couple of these.
How sweet are you??!!
I don’t like Ylang in gold 😢 I wanted so bad it works for me! I will get a sample of note vanille 🤞🏻
Yea that’s happened with me and some really popular perfumes. But I look at it like “awesome!” I just saved my money! 😂
I tried Vanille des Afriques and wanted to love it but i leaned very vegetal and masculine on me
It is not going to be for everyone you are right. ❤️
Very picky about my vanillas so I do not have many. That said, I received a sample of Bosca Vanilla Forte with an order I placed from Guerlain and ordered it immediately. Think I will give Ylang In Gold a try.
I love it also! What do you like about it? That sunshine-saltiness?
@@ThePerfumeNest I like it is a watery vanilla which is not typical. YEARS ago Henri Bendel had a perfume called Vanilla Flowers that was not sweet or powdery but had that watery note. I think this reminds me of that but this has that marine salt which makes it special.
Hey Chris, am bringing out my M. Micallef Note Vanille to use. I have to try one of the others for work
Thanks for a great video ❤🎉
Hey there! I’m interested to see if you enjoy it also in the warmer weather!!
I love Tres Chere! It is a bit of a drug for me now. I have 2 bottles. Just hooked one of my friends on it as well.
Oh I can see that! Just curious….how many times do you think you spray when you wear it?
@@ThePerfumeNest I spray 10-15x on skin and clothes. It sticks around on me for hours, but it does not project immensely.
God told me to get i to network marketing n having dreams about success in it so thats what i started :) anyway you habe a loyal subscriber i will be watching all of your videos n have been going back , i just adore u !!
Hopefully I will get to love this one too ;-)
Hey there! Well you have some nice ones. Thank you for your feedback; it will be helpful to others!!
I bought a small vial of Ylang in Gold after hearing many great reviews about it... turned out that to me it smells like cleaning products. Does this happen to other people or is my sense of smell broken?
It is over hyped for me. I had to sell my bottle. :(
@elisasanchezcorrea9739 So sorry to hear that but you did the right thing to sample first 👏.
@@DarlingNikki2 good to know! Thanks for your reply.
Hi Chris! My Ylang came damaged and was spraying just the gold dust😂
@@dennisedelamo8278 oh my gosh! Where did you get it from??😳
@@ThePerfumeNest fragrancebuy
Oh gosh. Can you return it? You should!
@@ThePerfumeNest yes I can just need to send them pictures of the damage.
What??? That’s cookoo.
Very nice vanillas! I'd probably love all of them, LOL. Have a fabulous week, Chris! ❤ ~Cynthia
Hi Cynthia! Are you still making videos?? They are not coming through my feed??!!
@@ThePerfumeNest I have not been making videos on my wig review channel lately, no. I've not purchased a wig recently so not much to talk about on the subject. I'm a bit "wigged-out" at the moment, LOL.
bosca vanilla is the best vanilla perfume ever
Oh I love to hear this thank you for the feedback!!!❤️
i'm going to check out Dyad Candle Thanks Chris.

Thank you so much! Will definitely be sampling around now
My favorite perfume was Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Luxe edition, do you remember that one? I would love to know if you would have a dupe for that. It was Jasmine, creamy, vanilla powdery and more. I have the regular Cashmere Mist, it’s just not the same. Thank you for any suggestions you may have!!!😊
Oh my gosh I don’t think I ever smelled that flanker! 😱
@@ThePerfumeNest thank you so much for your reply! I am determined to find something similar!😊
