I bought the black 41 mm on bracelet last month. I love it even more than I expected! I keep putting it on my wrist more often than the others in my collection. It’s a great bracelet and it is also a strap monster. This one has been my first Hamilton and I have not been disappointed at all.
Beautifully shot WG! Loved your thoughts . My thoughts are on the Swatch Group in general! For all of us that have bought Hammy’s over the last 5/10 years it’s recently we’ve seen an obvious and big price increase to all of their watches. The Khaki field ain’t no longer the best affordable field watch at 500 pounds! This is double the Mechanical and it just doesn’t sit well with me for it! But!!!! What a stonker!
Grincha!!! Hamilton watches will always have a soft place in my heart and currently 3 of them are in my watch case. Buying a used Hamilton Khaki was my first step on my horological journey. And that watch having a display caseback is what started my love of watches. Seeing the movement is just so much fun to me and so many times I have showed it to non-watch nerds. If I had room for another Hamilton, you would have me buying another with this one. Merry Christmas to you, James and Willow. Long Live the Cult(s) and 4:30 date windows.
I’ve got a Hamilton field with day and date. Bought it many moons ago go when my wife was in USA. Keeps very accurate time, stunning. Perhaps Hamilton regulate all their watches, I wonder if the Channel knows the answer to that. We cannot get Hamilton in my country. Cheers NZ.
@@johnmartin7158 Hamilton Khaki Field watches with the day and date should be the H-40 caliber. The H-40 is a modified ETA 2834-2. The H-40 has been tuned down to 3 Hz or 21600 vph, down from 4 Hz or 28800 vph in the 2834. Hamilton does this to give the H-40 80 hours of power reserve, vice the 38-40 hours of power in the 2834-2. I don't know what other changes/regulation Hamilton does for this, but I would bet they regulate it. Cheers
I love all the attention that the new Hamilton Khaki field watches are getting. They're amazing watches. Ironically, it make me feel even cooler knowing that I still have my 1989 LL Bean/Hamilton field watch (20th birthday gift from my mom), which continues to look awesome and perform flawlessly 34 years later.
It’s a winner for me/ Gripes that bezel if you are out hiking you would have a compass & a good map,it’s just stupid ! & the the leather strap lets put it on a high quality NATO in dark green like the field ? & the price it’s too high
I bought one a month ago and absolutely love it! It was my first automatic watch and I couldn’t be more happy. It’s even somewhat started the bug of buying watches! I wear it almost everyday and rarely take it off. Great review!
I love Hamilton, glad you could finally get hands-on with one! I have a Mechanical and a Day-date. The Expedition is very tempting, especially the white dial. I don't really have need for a compass bezel (i don't really go on any expeditions), but it sure would be a cool one to add to the collection lol
Thank you for saying Merry Christmas. I think people fear saying it now. I've got the KFM and the Coop. I don't think I could justify adding the KFE just for the party trick in the forest. Merry Christmas 🎄 Britt.
Thank you for a great review! I’d like to get the 37 in blue on the strap! I have a 6.75” wrist and prefer a field watch to be on the smaller side so it’s not in the way of getting stuff done!
I like how your demo of the compass bezel showed you setting the watch to a different time, then putting the N mark between the hour and noon. Great review, but you're not ever being my navigator on a drive!
I got one the minute they came out and I love it. The most legible watch face I can imagine; well built and feels rugged. I appreciate the screw-down crown. I can't imagine ever using the compass bezel but it's a nice little design feature. Mine is keeping very good time: it gains a little less than 10 seconds a day. I went for the strap. I must have dozens of 20mm straps - leather, NATO, pass-through and rubber, and they all work on this watch. I also have the black dial Field Khaki and they compliment each other.
There she is again…. Sunday is complete 🙂🥳 Love the look of the 41 mm white dial. Buuuttttttt I don’t like the leather strap 😬 Price is absolutely fine in my opinion, you get a very nice looking watch with a nice movement. Cheers Britt 🤩

My first Hamilton was the 38mm "Murph' which I like a lot. Great quality and value. I like the white dial of the Expedition and would also like to see that on the bracelet. With my chicken wrists I would also go for the 37mm. Good hands on review as usual Britt. 👍
❤ 37mm is such a great size for anyone 7 inches and under. You really need to do a review on the Hamilton PSR It is so retro cool!!! ❤❤❤❤ I really think you will truly be enamored by it. 😊😊😊😊
What a watch from a great brand! For me it would be the 37 mm all day. But it's hard to decide whether I'd go for the black or the white dial as both are gorgeous!
@@BrittPearceWatches Oh by the way, for me the crown looks right. But then again the crown on the BB54 looks to small for me. I guess I'm a large crown guy! 😄
Got the 37mm black one on bracelet. Fits well on my wrist, which is basically same as yours. What killed me was the press reveal in Canadian Rockies and also Zermatt, Switzerland. Strange reason for an insta-buy, but now it’s my ‘promise watch’ to get back to those places again.
It crushed me. I’ve been to Banff/LL/Jasper many times, Zermatt for the first time this year. The watch just flew into my pocket. Will need that grey nato pronto! Thanks for the great content. You’ve really developed into a cool channel.
I've had a Khaki King for a couple of years now, and I still love it. I do wish I would've got it on a bracelet, although I finally did find a strap I liked better and bronze hardware for it. I'm definitely eyeing the Expedition...
I never got into Hamilton because they never do AR COATING, I love double-side coating because of how clear it makes the dial look. However, I like these watches enough where I’ll check them out at a local AD.
I got to try on the black dial 37mm version on bracelet last week at an AD while on vacation and it's a terrific feeling watch. I already own 2 Khaki Mechanicals and have an affinity for the brand. I'll be getting the Field Expedition eventually, however I do want to wait to see if they make a more "modern" version of it with a different lume color and titanium. My bet is that we will see a version like that some point next year so I'm waiting a bit before making the purchase.
@marker20 thanks my 6 3/4" should be ok then. I'm a funny size not really small but not large so can always be in between sizes hopefully this fits great I love the black dial.
Important to me for a watch is firstly to tell the time. How is the accuracy? Secondly, how is the lume? After all it is a field watch. On my Seiko SKX the lume shines so brightly that it might be the better option for Father Christmas instead of Rudolf. Cheers from Germany.
I always love your reviews. I do wonder why I would spend this kind of money on a Hamilton when I can buy a CW for about the same price. I think the CW offers a more elevated watch experience for similar money.
Id love this with a manual wind movement, solid case back and just a plain fixed bezel... but i guess it would be a totally different watch then! Eek 😂
I think this popped up because ive been considering a used khakis field auto i saw on marketplace. I liked your review of this. Though it's not the same as the khakis field auto really got me considering it more and appreciating the value. It would be the equivalent of $310 usd and comes with 5 straps. A strap monster as you would say. Nice review. Thanks.
I love this watch. I’m looking forward buying the 37mm version for myself, although I can’t find it in this size in my country. I’m a little bit sad that the bracelet version is only available in the black dial as I’m more interested on the white or blue dial, I will buy the piece and purchase the bracelet separately. Anyway, I just found your videos and I’m glad another women is talking about watches! I usually buy man watches an find myself trying to imagine how a certain watch will look on my wrist!
I’m currently wearing an intra-matic with blue dial 40mm w/Milanese bracelet. Better looking better price and no weird compass bezel. Thanks for the well done video
Giant crown & steel bezel are very sporty & characteristic IMO, especially in 37mm version. These features will be iconic at the historical journey of this watch... BTW, transparent caseback is also sexy 😁
How was the reflections while shooting? Sold my Khaki King although I loved the watch it was crazy to try and read lets say on a cloudy day. It was almost mirror like in to many situations. They really need to add anti reflective coatings to some of their watches if black dialed.
totally different from de Khaki. 100 m water resistant; screw down crown. Perfect size 37mm. worth the price. love the watch. I'll go for the white dial. Nice video. thank you
Hamilton seems to be the benchmark for what a practical wrist watch looks like and functions like. I have three and they all get worn depending on the occasion. Easy to read, reliable, accurate and tasteful. They have to be hard to do a review on because there are few contentious issues.
I think, personally, that it would be more useful to have 24hr or dive time bezel markings, maybe they could give these as options. I'm currently wearing my Hamilton khaki field automatic 38mm btw which i love.
I’ve had many Hamiltons over the years and still have one (the Hamilton Khaki Field titanium Far Cry LE, it looks so good, but that game was just okay), and I think they have a place in just about any collection. I love Hamilton, at their price point they make some of the best and most satisfying watches to own. This one doesn’t really appeal to me personally, mainly because the compass bezel is a main feature and I’m a city boy, so I’m really never going to need a compass bezel. I can’t even pretend to be outdoorsy enough to need one. If I ever get lost where I live, I just need someone to point me towards City Hall-or I’ll just call an Uber home. 😂 It is a very cool looking watch though. And I like how thin it is compared to a lot of sports watches in its price range. I’m sure you’ve been sufficiently roasted from pronouncing it “ee tee ay” instead of “Etta”, so I won’t mention anything about it. 😉 Another great review, I really dig your vibe. Keep up the great work!
I bought this watch in 37mm with the black dial and absolutely love it. I managed to snag it on sale for 25% off at Macys and at that price it was a no brainer. I immediately swapped out the greenish strap for a grey suede one and I feel it works perfect. I like the thickness of the bezel on the 37 and the display case back. My only disappointment, and I knew this going in, is that the lume is pretty terrible. Otherwise, this is my favorite Hamilton by far.
Excellent review, as usual. I think this is one of the underrated releases of the year. I'm not so sure about the price, though the better bracelet, rotating steel bezel, and a bit of AR (I think) should add cost over the regular Khaki Field Auto. Hamilton is pretty easy to find at a decent discount. At that discount, I think it's a stellar watch and could be somebody's only or maybe primary daily if they want it to be. I've tried the 41mm black dial on my 7 inch wrist and found it worked quite well. I think they did a great job with the 2 size options. They may not please everybody, but it should cover a wide swath of watch fans. Really my only minor complaint is I wish the white dial came on a bracelet. I've seen people put the bracelet from the other models on the white dial and it looks really good.
Very nice video, thank you. I'm one of those guys who questions the pricing of this watch. Others are doing quality work for less (see Baltic), and the Chinese brands are doing so for far less. Seiko has quality concerns at this price point, but if you can get a quality copy, they are hard to beat. Now I'd happily pay more for Hamilton history, etc., but how much? At about $700-900 USD, this watch would make more sense, at least to me. Nevertheless, it is great to see some creativity in the field watch space. They are under-appreciated, methinks.
Hamiltons have always intrigued me, I've seen them in so many movies, yet they've always seemed reasonably priced. That 37mm is absolute 🔥edit: of these were in the $700-800 range that'd be perfect IMO
The beautiful thing about my personal watch collection is I couldn’t buy them again, the prices have gone through the roof, So I am cherishing my beloved, 26 piece collection .
Me gustan esos relojes, particularmente el mas pequeño. Me dan ganas de comprármelo pero ya tengo muchos Powermatic, ya estoy buscando otros tipos de movimiento. 🤔
The watch looks really GOOD AND BIG! Its LOOKS like an ADVENTURE WATCH🤠 OR A TENNIS WATCH! I think that doesn't make sense though....THIS WATCH, everytime I LOOK AT IT, it gives me a DIFFERENT VIBE, sometimes FIELD, ARMY, COUNTRYSIDE, I really don't know. ALL of HAMILTON'S watches have like SIMPLE AND PLAIN DIALS! which gives me a good, simple VIBE but then the PRICE, makes me feel THAT they are BETTER watches OUT there! but still IT IS WORTH IT! THE WATCH makes me feel like a RETIRED SOLDIER LIVING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE 😅😅 i don't know!! thanks for the video WATCH GRINGA!
Couldn't agree with you more about rubber, I put my Khaki Field King on an aftermarket Oysterflex-style strap and haven't looked back. Hamilton's missing a trick with the Khaki by not offering an OEM fitted rubber option for their tool watches.
Love Hamilton khaki range I am surprised I never bought a vintage piece ( I own a few vintage watches ) for me the khaki field mechanical would be the one for me and like you prefer bracelets then add straps from the likes of Hirsch its a bit like a Rolex explorer looks great on both. Like you sometimes like a closed casebook esp if the closed casebook as some details on it ie old Omega hippocampus casebacks looked great, Hamilton's are a fantastic price for the history of the company and design and finish even some small micro brands are pricey now and they dont have the history like Hamilton. Just to add even though I have 7 1/2 inch wrist the 37mm would still look good due to the large legible face
i would still go with the khaki field mechanical & just buy a suunto compass that i can attach to the strap, it’s not everyones cup of tea, but it works for me, & saves me a lot of money 😂
Haven’t expected to find watches review channels this interesting and informative at the same time, they always either get to serious about it that made it boring or they don’t mention any thing about the watch and just show it off.
Britt, which one you think is better, this one (Expedition with black dial) or the CW Sealander GMT (white dial)? Id really like your opinion, im torn between these two.

I WANT IT!!!!
Another great watch I need to add to my collection. Britt you're such a bad influence, lol. 😂
no anti reflective coating??
Sorry if I missed it…..but screw down crown?
Ahhh no, I didn't mention! YES, screw down crown!
Looks like my old $25 Timex expedition
bahaha, you now! I don't know what one! I'll have to give it a google. ^_^
Can you make a video comparing this to your BB54? 👀🙏
The beautiful thing about my personal watch collection is I couldn’t buy them again, the prices have gone through the roof,
So I am cherishing my beloved, 26 piece collection .

Nice watch at the price point
Tkmaxx in UK have currently Hamiltons for sale. 3 different models. 800 GBP if I'm correct
One model is even 700 pounds
WOOOOAH! Now THIS is good to know!
Me gustan esos relojes, particularmente el mas pequeño. Me dan ganas de comprármelo pero ya tengo muchos Powermatic, ya estoy buscando otros tipos de movimiento. 🤔
The 37 mm would be for me! Nothing compares to a good bracelet.
At last. Someone saying more expensive watches don't have micro adjustment! 🙏
Is there a reason why you never show brightness "watch lume" on the watches you display
Excellent!
I can't decide between black or blue!!
Screwed or pull/push crown?
Love Hamilton, have many. If they ever drop a 12-hour bezel on this one, I'll be first in line.
Britt, which one you think is better, this one (Expedition with black dial) or the CW Sealander GMT (white dial)?
Id really like your opinion, im torn between these two.
What do you think about the Hamilton Air Glaciers?
I like that blue one. It looks so cool. We don’t have a Hamilton outlet in NZ.
@@johnmartin7158 the bracelet is nice and confortable too, good continuation🤞🏼
