Same thing happens to me. When it says the car has breakdown but nothing happens. The car didn't slow sown at all. Not the same game but F1 mobile manager. Only when changing tyres you're forced to cost a few more seconds to repair in pit. So I never pit in just to repair the car lol.
My DRS was stuck open at Monza and I didn’t box so I had 10laps of running with an open rear wing. However whenever I have my DRS stuck open nowadays they somehow get fixed without boxing
F1 2018 was the best of the late games the handling was so good I mean u had every single piece of info with what's happening so you could counter it beautifully and now with the F1 2020 the car is basically handling itself
look at that oversteer at 0:28, if theres traction control its medium at most. codemasters F1 game physics just arent very realistic because it has to appeal to a large crowd. try sweeping hard to the left/right with DRS open in F1 and compare it to a game like Assetto Corsa. night and day
He’s in a controller lol he had to correct himself if you look because with an analogue stick its very easy to overshoot a corner then struggle to correct it

I was a noob though, so as my pitstop came I thought the team would fix the problem. However, they did not, so I went on the radio to request a pitstop the following lap (very clever of me). They didn't fix it again, so I called in for another pitstop because I thought that I needed to turn the "repair wing" thing on for it to fix. Of course, it wasn't the case, and I subsequently quit the race.
Its so shit that when thks happens, you don't loose to much time, you can still go fast in the corners, but irl you cant slow down or take corners over 80
I feel like drivers and engineers would deliberately not do anything about it so they can get the speed advantage *(its a yoke don't take it seriously)*
In reality, you'd be black flagged if you didn't come into pits as soon as you could after it got stuck. If the mechanics fail to close it, you must retire the car.

That has never happened to me. Sometimes during practice or race a drs error occurs and i can't open the drs, but just that.
I've had a bug like this in F1 2016 but when I pressed the open/close button it closed again.
