Shouldn't there be a slight relief cut down the middle of the prong, under the bearing cut, for the keel of the stone to ensure no breakage?

I did this ring when I did the GJ course. This ring is MUCH harder than you think it’s going to be.

If you mark lines on the prog with a divider is much easier to cut evenly.

Good. But did not show enough of the actual finishing of each claw after setting. Shaping of edges, inside bevelling and polishing.

All the prefinishing and polishing should have been done before you even cut the seats to set the stone.! You're talkin Platinum here oh my gosh am I getting exhausted here or what I'm pretty much self-taught but I'm a master at what I do and I'll tell you what that's not how you deal with it you polish akua gleam before you even do your setting work!

You really aren't giving us a whole lot of information I've carved and cast a couple pieces and platinum for a 3 and 1/2 carat princess cut with Prevea allouez underneath it to the tune of the one and a half carrots pervade underneath I hate my voice recognition but ready to blow up my phone and all that kind of s*** I'm getting really pissed off I'm trying to watch this stuff on TH-cam and learn some things even in my later age but I've been a master Jeweler and a jeweler for over fifty years and all that kind of thing and some of the stuff that you guys are putting out there like I don't know let's just put it this way you can skin a cat a whole lot of different ways I got so many tricks up my sleeve that that couldn't be in it I don't know where to tell you I know I didn't go to formal school I learned through apprenticeship through high school and that's been Hands-On and learn from the books and Hands-On and do it to it and get it done that's what I'm talking about if you like I'd be happy to share some photos of some of the fine stuff that I worked on and done and is that any other

This is a great way to set a princess cut. I was taught this method by my father and at Stewart’s intl jewelry school.
You ought to stop running your mouth and post your own video on how to set a princess cut.
