Mongolian Beef is one of my favorite restaurant dishes growing up (along with Honey Walnut Shrimp). Brings back fond childhood memories with my Aunties taking me to their local Chinese American restaurants after Sunday church. Thanks for the vid. Will give it a try! Hello from San Francisco.
I really appreciate how simple you make this Mongolian beef dish. Last week, I bought a chunk of beef from Costco, cut it into slices, and froze them in bags. It's perfect for this recipe. I plan to try it either today or tomorrow. One modification though: I'm going to use the leftover starch from coating the meat to thicken the sauce. No waste, tasty, and it will leave me satisfied.
Thank you Flo and Dude. One thing I also often do with beef stir fries is marinate with sine baking soda to tenderize. More oft when I slice a little thicker. Probably not needed when sliced as thin as you have here.
I have unattainably high standards when it comes to chefs, food, recipes and restaurants. To give you an example, of the hundreds of restaurants around the world at which I’ve eaten, the only restaurant I even half-way think is decent is Le Meurice. With that said, Flo is an excellent cook. Excellent! Happy Holidays & keep up the quality work.
I didn't understand wok hei until I heard the short story Wok Hei St by Guan Un on the podcast Lavar Burton Reads. Thanks for all your great recipes. JA
Hmmmm…forgot to eat before I watched your video!! Nothing is going to satisfy me now!! This beef dish looks absolutely luxurious (thanks, Dude!) as well as delicious. Thanks, Flo and Dude! Happy Sunday! Sharon🤗♥️🍜🥩😋
I love your cooking Flo you make it sound so easy and delicious.I am 86 and love to cook still and my Husband always enjoys what i make. We both love Asian food but he cant take Capsicum😫 however i just hold it back for him.I have one of your books and enjoy trying different dishes .Keep up the good work and may blessings come to your family.
Looks so delicious, and a good way to eat a less costly meal than eating out. Thank you, Happy Christmas, and best wishes for the New Year to come. Blessings 🙌 🙏❤️
You are a great cook, love listening to you as you clearly explain everything in the process and the reasoning involved! Would like to see more of this. But must ask how can you so easily cut the steak ?
Does this dish every have red bell pepper and onions? Looks so delicious and as you say easy with few ingredients. Thank you Flo and taster Dude. Have a great Sunday.
Happy Holidays! This looks fantastic! I do have one question, do you have in any of your cook books ideas of what dishes can be made ahead of time and kept warm while making others for a complete dinner? And, well i guess i have two questions, what dishes go with what other dishes? Thanks and enjoy your week!
Flo said you could you rice, potato or corn starch. She just happened to have rice flour that day. ( But she also had corn starch for the slurry,) so up to what's in your pantry.
On the TH-cam Channel "Made With Lau", after slicing the beef in the same manner, he washes the beef to remove the hemoglobin, then adds baking soda to a marinade. Then, he makes the sauce, but does not use the marinade in it. He also uses flank steak. Do you have any comments on Chef Lau's variation?
Mr Lau was a restaurant cook for over 50 years, so I’m sure he has a tonne of tips up his sleeves! I’m just a humble home cook making tasty meals for my family.
What ingredients should I have on hand to do most Orientil cooking without going overboard we don't like to wast and only use something once watch every Sunday
So easy to make at home. Eat well. Save money. Happy Sunday! 💕
LOVE me some Mongolian Beef! Rock on Flo!

If I have leftover dredge I put it in a ziploc bag and label it and put it in the freezer for next time.
I really enjoy your show.

One of my favorites! This looks easy enough for even me to do!😊
Used to live near a Mongolian Grill and ate there all the time. Gonna prepare this one!

My wife's absolute favorite. Thanks Flo. Happy Sunday and Holidays to you. 😇👍
Great video ❤
Just made this with chicken because I didn’t have any beef and it was really really good.
You are a great cook, love listening to you as you clearly explain everything in the process and the reasoning involved! Would like to see more of this. But must ask how can you so easily cut the steak ?
I was just thinking this too!!!!
She keeps her chef’s knife nice and sharp!
Forgot to add Flo cutting the steak SO thin looks so easy !
Yes… I keep my knives are very sharp (well… actually Dude does!) and I slice the steak at an angle across the grain.
Really enjoyed your recipe ❤👌
Great and simple recipe, thanks! Just wanted to know how you prepare this in the airfyer. Thanks again.
If you read though the comments, or do a search through her recipes, Flo did give a link for the air fryer.
Love your recipes. Please can we add a little gravy as our family is large
That looks so good. Yummy
Thanks for demonstrating that you can get crispy beef _without_ deep frying
Thank You Flo!!
Looks easy and delicious!
That looks _so_ good, but it needs more onion and some bell pepper.
Merry Christmas Flo and Dude.
Feel free to add
Dido that
This is very popular here in Philly! It can normally go for $17 but, there's a restaurant that charges $19.80 !!!!
Yikes! My striploin steak cost $8!
PF Changs charges like 26$
If you’re on a budget beans are good

Not sure, but totally easy to add!

oh my favorite dish!!! looks great! can't wait to make this this weekend. thanks!
i can smell this through my cpu!!!
Wow. That looks incredible!
This looks so good!
I have potato starch in my pantry. Is that a good starch to use?
Flo said you could you rice, potato or corn starch. She just happened to have rice flour that day. ( But she also had corn starch for the slurry,) so up to what's in your pantry.
Where can I buy your cookbooks
I recently started using seasoned soy sauce and I really love the flavor. It is also incredibly inexpensive.
Can't wait to try! Would this recipe work for chicken too? Cheers!
Very good, thank you!
Looks so tasty😊. I need to invest in a good Chef's Knife.

@@FloLum Thanks!!! Home cook here too and always like varied themes and techniques.
Thanks for all your videos!!!!
Flo l like your cooking thank you
Looks great! What do you do to add a vegetable to this meal (besides the garnish of the green onions)? Thanks
I think red and green peppers would be great and lots of sliced onions. You could even, after off the heat of course, throw in some bean sprouts too.
@brianevans8529 We normally have simple Chinese vegetables on the side as a separate dish.
Give me a bite paleese!!! Dude you need to share!!! I'm definately gonna try it with strip steak!!!!
Is there any other ingredient to replace the wine?
Drama in the wok😋😋
The "Woks of Life" guy (Bill) cleverly says you can use the remaining cornsrarch from dredging the beef for your thickening slurry
❤thank you❤thank you
That's a great meal!
What ingredients should I have on hand to do most Orientil cooking without going overboard we don't like to wast and only use something once watch every Sunday
Dude is a lucky dude.
Can you just use flour instead of cornstarch?
Sorry Flo but that is a ribeye steak not a strip loin, At least in the lower 48
I’m not a fan of ginger, can I substitute something else?
Just omit it.
Yummmmmmm
Yummy ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Do you used u all use to he crunchy what the noodles, 🍜 n top of Mongolian beef?
