- Hey ya'll, it's Wendy!
My latest project I took an old salvaged window and turned it into a piece of art for my own home. I used Farmhouse Paint in Black Noir, Midnight Garden Decor Transfer from Iron Orchid Designs, used some spray paint for a vintage mirror effect and tah-dahhh! I now have a gorgeous piece of art in my master bathroom.
We sell Farmhouse Paint and you can buy in or store or online here

We will have IOD Decor Transfers very soon, but you can check out our other beautiful transfers here...

My daughter's husband put brand new windows in this church and they took out the stained glass windows and gave them to my son-in-law they're going to put them in their house when they build it it is gorgeous all of them and it's all from an old Church
I just came across your video of you putting that gorgeous transfer on the window. End results...STUNNING!!!
Thank you!
I would caulk both sides of that glass just to be safe that it will not come out. And I guess I'm just used to doing that because I do glass on glass resin artwork on old windows and in order to avoid any leaks and drips I always caulk both sides really well.
Super cool!!❤
Thank you so much!
Wow ❤ absolutely awesome ❤ thank you so very much for sharing this….
This is the best video I've found to apply a transfer to a window. I recently purchased a few and am looking forward to using your techniques while completing this. Thank you for sharing your expertise and giving me confidence that I can do this. Beautiful work!
Thank you! I’d love to see your finished project. You’ve got this.
I love this window. It's a lot of work, but well worth the time and effort that it took. I love IOD transfers. Haven't purchased any yet, but plan on getting some for my stash.
Wendy love your window!!!. Very nice video. Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing. 🌷👏♥️♥️🙂👏
Thank you, it’s been l almost 2 years since I did that project, it’s still the highlight in my bathroom & holding up beautifully. Thank you so much for watching. ❤️
It came out beautiffully! I'm making a few like that to sell. Thank you for your tips 😊hope I get more of your videos . I am a subscriber👍
Thanks so much! 😊
I like the technique that you used for caulking I would have never thought of doing it that way
Love this project ❤ what a great way to recycle old windows. Thanks for sharing the window glaze tip too.
Gorgeous simply gorgeous 🌻😊
Loved the idea. ❤ Was hoping to see it hung to see what it looked like 😊
not sure if I'm misunderstanding your comment, end of video it's hung on my bathroom wall and showed in different angles. Thanks for watching.
I wish you had shown it on the wall. I would have liked to see the wall showing through.
Very pretty 🌼🌼🌼
Not sure what you mean cause I did show it hanging on the wall above my bathtub.
The wall color just barely peeps through. Thank you so much for watching.
Aw! It looks very nice.
Fantastic addition!! Great pattern choice!
Thanks a bunch!

I love that so beautiful
Hi Wendy, I smiled when I heard you say you were from North Carolina, because that's where my best friend lives. I live in Australia and my friend and I met in high school here in Melbourne. Her dad was working here at Melbourne University, where he was Dean of Political Science. My friend's really smart, like her parents, and after we finished school she went back to America and studied at Duke University, where she met her husband. I went over to North Carolina for the wedding and I loved it. The men in the south are so gorgeous and well mannered, I loved their accents. I hope you don't mind that little trip down memory lane.😅 I love your videos, especially this one. I'd like to do a similar project to the one you're doing here. I've used IOD Transfers before and I was really nervous about getting the transfer on the substrate properly, but it was really easy. Admittedly, the transfers I applied first were very small! I used the little Pot transfers that are made to go on to small terracotta pots. The only problem I had was with the white transfers because they don't show up against the white backing paper. So they went on a bit wonky 😅. Thanks for a great video tutorial. Love from Amanda in Australia
Oh thank you for sharing your friend story. I have to agree about southern men. 😬 IOD transfers are my favorite. Very easy & almost instant beauty. Thanks so much for watching. ❤️
I think this is just wonderful.
Thank you 😉
Hi Wendy, great video.
Love the window, NC here
love this!
fantastic job!
Thank you 😉
Hi Wendy!! First time watching you. You appeared in my feed because I'm a huge IOD fan. I own just about all of their transfers so I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed your video. I loved the easy listening music and I am now a huge fan. Subscribed!!
I laughed because I too wear a scrunchie on my wrist. Always be prepared. Haha
This is beautiful
That is gorgeous!
It's beautiful 😍
LOVE IT! beautiful project and you look just like Jennifer Saunders
Awesome piece !
Thank you 🥰
That turned out beautiful!!
thank you
I think leaving out the trim is good as every art peice does well to have a story
Beautiful!
Amazing work you did on this and I like your final choice to just paint the sides and it is in a perfect spot in a beautiful bathroom!
Thank you very much!
Beautiful.
Thank you.
Very nice
Thank you 🥰
Farmhouse paint is it like " Annie Sloane " chalk paints ??? This project is really nice 👌 ❤
It’s different from Annie Sloan because you don’t have to put a wax or top coat to seal it.
I love this, how well will this hold up to humidity in the bathroom?
I was worried about that, but it has done very well. Thank you for watching.
Beautiful question..if you were to make a window similar how much could one of these windows sell for?
I just subscribed to your channel. I love this idea. I have used old windows and decoupaged them but I love this idea with old mirror theme. I am absolutely going to do this. What size window did you use?
I love your cupoard. Is it french?
What transfer did you use for this project? I’m new to this technique and I’m so excited!! Thanks
Midnight Garden
That hanging system does not look strong enough for that heavy window. How has it held up?
Love love love. I would love to do a window also. My question is I am wanting to hang one outside on my covered porch. Should I use a sealer on the tranfer.
If it gets some direct sun i’d say yes. Make sure to use a water base sealer, oil base will make your transfer come off. I would only put sealer on transfer, not on bare glass.
@@WendysWorkshop oh really not on the bear glass why? And how can you keep from getting it on the bear glass
I couldn't find the sponge sander you talked about in your store? What brand do you carry that you like to use?
Hi Debbie, thanks for bringing that to my attention. I just added it, it is farmhouse paint brand, same as my paint, and here's link to all our fhp accessories & tools cottage321.com/paint-accessories/
Why didn't you take the backing paper off just a little bit at a time as you stuck it down? Just wondering if there was a reason that you did it the way that you did?
Are you going to wax your paint seal it
QUESTION: I need to glaze an old window and will be painting the window trim black also applying a transfer. Can I paint the glaze black as well?
I want to say yes but I would read the label of glazing you plan to use. Thank you so much for watching my video. 😉
What is a good price for these windows as resale.
I don't know I think it depends on the amount of work that you put into it. I have one that I am working on now but I'm doing a glass on glass resin design and it's about that size that she has. I think I will probably charge about $200 for it. I had a smaller one that I did the design of a horse head and flowers on and got $100 for that one. I have two others in consignment shops for $75 each that's my cut so the price in the consignment shop is much higher.
Love the project, but can you tame the music down. It was way too loud.
Please do, the music is so loud in some DIY videos that I can barely hear what the women are saying.
Mrs Wendy do you have a site to order on line
Hi Rebecca, yes I do have a website. We sell lots of items but I'm sending you the link to the DIY items. Thank you so much for watching. :)

What size is the window?
Hi. The window is 32” tall by 36” wide. Thank you for watching. 😉
Noir… means black
My forté is NOT transfers 😅
