The camera quality looks so good. What does it look like when it's being streamed to your phone though? I assume it doesn't look NEARLY as good as the recorded video. :(
I have the Standard version and it is good for what it is but i wanna fly it a bit further WITH good video signal but it cuts of way to fast so is the advanced version going to have further video signal?

Surprisingly, I've never actually crashed the Phantom 3. As you saw in the video, we've got a couple of decent sized trees in our backyard, and I've crashed loads of toy quads into them, but never the Phantom 3!
Pretty easy, as long as you pay close attention. I definitely didn't start with the Phantom 3. I started with a super cheap $25 mini quadcopter to learn the basics, and worked my way up.
Thanks for the great video. The Phantom 3 Standard is still a ridiculously great value. DJI just keeps getting better. Even at this extremely affordable price point the footage is still really useable.

Nice video, I'm originally from eastern KY myself but have been in Indianapolis now for over 40 years. I too picked up the $499 Adorama special and got my P3S in a few days ago. I've only had one flight so far. Started with a Phantom 1.1.1 about a year ago and now i'm getting it all cleaned-up to put on Ebay, it was a good bird to learn some basics on before investing more money on a more powerful system. Lots of things changed from the Phantom 1 to the Phantom 3, so I'll be taking it slow for a while.

Just got mine for $399 at Best Buy. Yes... they advertised it at Wallyworld but 30 min before the "Sale" started they said they had sold out. I heard one of the employees state that they were glad they had been able to get it early.
I was going to do that but when I got to Wallyworld they had sold all the units to employees. I was there an hour before the sale. I went to Best Buy and there was a line of 2 people. Took me less than 15 min to check out and zero stress...

I volunteer at a place called Lionsrock in South Africa, and someone donated the high end version of this to them a while ago. I'm almost to scared to touch it, but it takes amazing videos, and if you learn to properly control and fly it you can do amazing things. Those guys throw it through the air and through trees like it's an extension of themselves.
+Kurnel Sounds like me. i started flying smaller drones that had no auto stabilization features and were much harder to fly..once wind hit them you had to counter wind, once i tried a phantom it was ridiculously easy

it looks excellent, but I think it maxes out at 720p

+Nice Dude yes, if you hit "RTH" and fly up you can, they can go up super high however they aren't really made to so the signal is sometimes spotty
