Refreshing to hear this review, since many TH-cam tech channels do many, many builds with these exact components. At one time I seriously considered building a rig consisting of the Ali Express special, motherboard, CPU, ram combo. But I hesitated, because of how outdated the system would be, but also because of all the issues with the Chinese X-99 motherboards. So I built an AM4 platform based computer instead.
You could always buy it, be gaming now, and the CPU and GPU could be easily upgraded later on. Pretty sure there are a lot of upgrades you can do with that CPU slot.
I recently built 3 Xeons for selling. One X79 & 2 X99. The more powerful Build of the 3 was a 2697 WV4 with 64GB of DDR4 RAM 2400mhz with an RX 6700XT. It almost ties Cinebench & Heavens Benchmark Scores with my Ryzen 5800X that also has 64GB of DDR4 3200mhz & has an RX 6800 XT
The faster higher core count Xeons on X99 are killer value for money aren't they? I've built a couple around the 2697a V4 and very impressed with the performance. Especially from a £35 CPU.
Way better value than a PC from Amazon. By the way I run 150-160 fps on Fortnite, with my i5 6500 and Rx 480 so there's definitely something wrong there when benchmarking
rx580 is an rx480 with slightly higher clock speeds achieved through an improved manufacturing process. so the 2048 version is more than likely slower than the rx480. However the cpu is a sandy bridge (2nd gen) so no avx2 instruction set...it really needed a 4th gen cpu minimum..
It's still misleading. A Xeon is NOT an i7, even if performance is similar, it's still a completely different platform/socket. Also just writing "i7" can mean a lot - you can end up with a 14700K or with a 2600K from 2011…
I must say, you have some balls to put your credit card information on that. the e5 2673 v3 is actually 12 cores and 24 threads, which means it's much better than you may actually think, since consumer H81 or B85s can only get you at most i7 4790 with 4 cores/8 threads
Go to download options and select pre download textures, or something along those lines. Sorry don't know 100% of the top of my head. I can look it up if anyone needs me to. It's around 22gb extra download. It does help smooth gameplay and get rid of stutters. Give it a try
The one on this system is a 2637v3, not a 2673v3 (shown at 3:19). 2637 v3 is not greatest but is enough for lots of games, and could be upgraded . For example 2643 v3 costs around $20 and it has 6c/12t . Overall, decent system for the money, there is upgrade path , definitely not a scam.
