    Lovely fish especially the Crucians, Crucians are my favourite fish they're the cutest imo and with that lovely colour. Problem seems to be that Crucians are a bit rare, i live not far from Kingsbury water Park in Warwickshire where theres' i think 15 lakes in total, none of them hold many Crucians and i only ever caught one small one when i was about 10. I stopped fishing for a long time and i'm just getting back into it properly. One day i'll have to drive out to a fishery that have a good stock of Crucians. Your vids are really good and well done catching these fish.

    what rod you recommend for this style of fishing?

    • @chasingshadows-ananglingob2295
      @chasingshadows-ananglingob2295  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi i do use a 1.5tc barbel rod, slightly heavy but the water I tend to fish has carp to 20+ and the carp do tend to pick your bait up from time to time. On average I think an Avon type rod wouldn't be far off being a good all round rod.I do also use 1lb TC drennan super specialist rods for my Crucian fishing..

    What type of rod are you using please

    • @chasingshadows-ananglingob2295
      @chasingshadows-ananglingob2295  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi peter, I was using a 12ft greys 1.5 tc barbel rod. It's a good through action rod as you tend to pick up a few large tench on this water, buts it's still flexible enough for playing crucians on.

      Dave Tarrant - Chasing Shadows thanks how much is it for a season ticket as there's no day ticket there I believe

    • @chasingshadows-ananglingob2295
      @chasingshadows-ananglingob2295  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exotics, fish & Shrimp - they do have a day ticket water this being called March farm fishery, which has a good head of tench and crucian carp in. £7 for one rod or £10 for two rods for an adult. There is an cracking onsite tackle shop Apollo angling. Unfortunately Johnson's lake, which I was fishing in the video is not on day ticket only on club ticket. For more info, it would be best to visit the clubs and tackle shop's web site. Hope this is helpful - regards Dave 👍

    My God fishing in the UK looks so complicated and not enjoyable. I was born in England but live in another country. Also don't understand the love of carp in England, they aren't native and do damage to the ecosystem.

    • @thebones

      +ALT KNIGHT car arrived in the UK with or before the Romans, so fairly well established and just about as 'native' as it gets, we like to think. Properly managed they are no more damaging to the ecosystem than most other fish species, certainly no more damaging than cormorants or otters.
