    That's really impressive Steve. Handles incredibly well with the lighter springs and very powerful for a stock motor. I think you have found the sweet spot for that car.

      Thanks, The shorter super hot shot springs in the rear made a world of difference. Thanks for watching.

    I have always said the thundershot was miles ahead of its time. It’s what started me on a lifetime of RC . That is the best handling vintage rere I have seen so far. I drove a bigwig a few years ago and that felt really nice to drive too. I found this video because I’m thinking of buying a thundershot .

      It's a great buggy but you need to swap the rear springs out with the ones used in the super hot shot like I did because the stock springs they made way to long for the shocks and it makes it so stiff in the rear it just hops all around when you use them. Thanks for looking and go for it!

    The handling of the Thundershot is impressive, the way it handled the terrain in the field is great, and the slow motion action makes it more impressing. Get to see the dirt flying all over the place, thanks for sharing.💯💯💯💯🤜🤛

      @@ShenRC cool. Beside it get more intersted in those cars and had the money spent on other RC cars, I would rather like to see how it performes against a stock classical Avante. Thinking of the prices this might be a revolution if this anime inspired cars are faster then this high-end beast. 🤔

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah use the shorter springs and you can ad a spacer to make them the way you like and they run much better, most of these in stock form I se the rear hopping all around the whole time they are running them. It sure s a beauty i love this chassis and all the buggies but that darn pulled tooth dragon! LOL!! Thanks for looking!

    Part number for the springs? Also what weight oil you running front and rear? 2 or 3 hole pistons? Great runner, looks like it handles very very well

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi they are the rear springs from the super hot shot rear shocks, and you can try 15wt or 10wt I used the stock pistons they show you using when you build the kit.

    Hi there Steve, a great Thundershot run for sure, people, really, why don’t they place there plastic netting in the proper bin, a poor animal could also get caught up in that stuff, let alone a poor Tamiya Thundershot! 😂😂, awesome dust trail! The suspension looks very compliant. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😉

    tamiya diffs confuse me, as they are neither open nor slip diffs, yet they work on a similar principle to viscous limited slip diffs but they go together as an open diff, its freakin genius considering how simple they are, but freakin weird on how they work, heck i'd bet they make most modern rc diffs look bad

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi they are open diffs but what makes them feel like oil filled diffs is when you coat all the gears inside them with tamiya antiwear grease. Thanks for looking.
