    With the exception of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah,all the leaders who came after him and who governed the country Ghana,weren't eligible to rule the country,and including the present ruling party !
    There's no true and selfless leader and statesman to really build up Ghana and to cultivate the African Continent. Africa is in the pangs of the birth of a man-child,but the ancient DRAGON of imperialism and of the neo-colonialist west,lays in wait to devour and to destroy that man-child the moment he is born. All these mercenaries are traitors of the black race first,and then the country Ghana. History will reveal what and who they really are !

    This vidéo appeals to me as a togolese born in Ghana during these troubled times. We're children, we don't know what happened. A colleague of my father had come to the house to tell my mother that our father had an accident while training. My father was a sergeant major in the Ghanaian Army. For several days the guards refused my mother access to see our father on his hospital bed. A week later our father was declared dead and buried in the military cemetry. Our father was of togolese origin. Following his death our mother brought us back to Lomé in 1971. I am the 5th child and i was 5 or 6 years old. And it affected us. According to my older brother, our father was close to kotoka. Our father's death occured following the kotoka's death. Thank you.

    Point of correction: the SMC1 was replaced by SMC2 in 1978 which was led by Gen. Akuffo. So it was during Gen. Akuffo one year spell in 1979 that Rawlings led the coup. Rawlings was to be executed by Gen. Akuffo’s government …..until he successfully overthrew him…..and executed him in 1979….

  • @fredneequaye8003

    You made a glaring omission! The 1966 coup was by Kotoka and Afrifa. General Ankrah was recruited by the coup makers because he was the most senior military officer around at the time. I also noticed that Afrifa was conspicuously absent at the news conference after 1966 coup. Can you explain the absence of Afrifa.

    • @papgambia6593
      @papgambia6593 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Look, am not Ghanian but i also made a similar observation about how Afrifa was completely removed from both the video and commentry. The coup was led by Kotoka N Afrifa. Ankrah was co-opted in. Also, i missed the Palace coup of 1978 in which Acheampong was forced out months before the 1979 JJ coup.

You also say it’s not clear who killed the Judges ….trying to make Rawlings like a saint ….you have to be impartial my brother. Rawlings purged the country ….but he also illegally toppled a legitimate government! A military government that came to inherit huge debt and paid off the debt to IMF and suppressed all forms of borrowing and at the same time introduced the policy of operation "Feed yourself" and ban all importation, encouraging entrepreneurship. He did very well for Ghana but these Westerners hated him and tried all way to make him a failure so that he could be overthrown. And that's exactly what happened.

      @nanakollynxtv explain what , do 67 years and over ghana looks like the Blackman can manage its affairs , we have gold ,diamond and oil , yet look at us , no proper Healthcare, poor medical management, a country where major hospitals can refuse ER admission, u had to carry emergency situations around from hospital to hospital . In 2024, in most cases folks die in the car looking for hospital admission, a country where our leaders travel abroad for medical treatment, ET Mensah died in South africa in a medical treatment, his wife admit , he travel every six months to check his health. They stole soo much from ghana to treat abroad and leave us in the soogum medical practices . The speaker of parliament gbagbin went to dubbai for medical treatment, in ghana pray u don't get sick and be admitted cause the chances for u to kpaii at the hospital is to the roof they will help u die kick, my uncle moved from America to ghana on retirement to enjoy the rest of his life after years of hardwork , he got a slight headache went to korlebu and the hospital in return gave him infection and that ended his retirement enjoyment. The mistake he made was going to Korlebu , he should have come to the US and get a free quality treat on his insurance. Don't want to write a book, see nkrumah shouldn't have kicked out the colonies so quick but should have allowed them to help us build a better understanding system, instead his dumb ego played him into the hands of corrupt politicians and look at us today, even under colony we had soo much reserve , now we don't even have a pin eka nkoaaa
